Yes there doesn't seem to be any way to change the surface you apply the text to. It randomly picks a surface. So far I haven't found any videos on how to move the text. keep looking.

Everyone should keep in mind that Bambu Lab punishes it's customers that are smart enough to not install their spyware on their phones by making it unbelievable hard to access your printer from your pc.

The Bamboo Mini's initial calibration often leaves the hot end in the corner, making it unclear how to move the print bed for tasks like Y-axis lubrication. This likely confuses many new users. to move raise the toolhead on the mini...open menu>control>xyz and raise z up
