This video is misleading on several points:
    - Bambu Studio is also open source. Orca, in fact, is based on Bambu Studio, which is based on Super Slicer, which is based on Prusa Slicer, which originally used the Slic3r code base.
    - Bambu Studio also has tree support
    - Slow down on overhangs is also a part of Bambu Studio
    - Bambu Studio actually also support other Klipper based printers, but Orca comes with far more printer profiles for other brands and filaments
And nowadays, Bambu Studio also supports scarf joint. So there's not much difference between the two.

Hello, Thank you for this video. I have a question. When printing circles, the printer ( use Bambu studio ) is not runing in 360° circles but in 180°, making a half circle and than the other half circle. Resuls are there are 2 very well seen vertical lines in the print. Why does the slicer is not making 360° degrees circles all the way up? And is it possible to interfear in the slicing so the printer does make 360° circles?

@@denisdb725 depends on what you’re printing. At first I thought I’d like random so the seam lines aren’t as visible, but then I get random bumps all over the print. So I use aligned and then cut off the seams, which is easier than removing random bumps all over the place. But sometimes I’ll use random if it makes sense. Either way it’s a super quick change in the settings

I'm definitely in the "intermediate" category of users. My partner and I cut our chops on an anycubic kobra go, and just upgraded a month ago to a bambu P1S. I've been trying out orca for a couple weeks. Mostly I find it works well, but we are definitely finding some odd dicrepancies between it and bambu studio. We will likely continue to use both for the P1S, on a case by case basis.

How does Orca Slicer compare with other (open source?) 3d -> G-code software.. like PrusaSlicer, Cura, MatterControl, Lychee, etc?
    Especially if fabricating on cnc

That is a really useful synopsis. I'm a complete newbie, Bambu PS1 owner. I'm hearing about Orca slicer, but can maybe park that while I'm still on the learning curve of Bambu studio. One little observation though, are you venting your printer at all? as it looks like it's in your living space.

Tbth, I've had more issues with Orca screwing up supports than Bambu and I have no idea why because yeah they are practically identical. I'm probably doing something wrong in fact I'm sure I am. However, I just fought a small tailflame for a Charizard in Orca for 3 or 4 prints and finally just decided to try it in Bambu and it printed fine the first time. No idea. Orca definitely has more options. The good news is having both is easy and you can switch back and forth if you want.

Dude I hate how Creality tried to make an expensive top of the line printer, and abandoned what made them great to begin with.
Like if they focused on making the cheapest open-source bambulab's clone, they would be bigger than bambulabs rn.
