Mate you do realize that to get all of that you have to have 4 different capital settlements built up, and 15 to 30 turns of recruitment just to get an army like that operational. By the point you are able to do that you have won the campaign, and every end turn is a pain to do. I'm saying all of this because I have already experienced it, and it isn't fun to do, nor is it better than getting an army filled with only basic units from a single chaos god, if they are being led by a lord of the corresponding god. And if you find that fun great, but it makes him weaker not stronger, fun is not a factor for this.

I made a reply on this already: Razing settlements refunds 90% campaign movement, while sacking/winning battles 50%, but you have to understand how it works. When you raze a settlement you regain movement from 0% because that is how much you usually have after razing settlements, while by sacking you are technically just winning a battle, so the 50% is added to the amount you had before initiating the attack. So if you had 50% movement and raze a settlement you would have 90% movement afterwards, but if you had 50% movement and sack a settlement you would have 100% movement. There is also the fact you move less after sacking a settlement than razing a settlement.

Oh yeah, its completely impractical, which is why I disbanded the 3 lords after I finished the vampires. Its probably only good when you have to fight an endgame crisis like that, otherwise definitely not, but I mostly did it because I thought it was funny :D

"without minmaxing" he's literally using only 1 type of unit in a faction with much better ones available, as far as the video is concerned no reloading on the highest difficulty and getting 3/4ths of the map in 100 turns xD Besides, as he said he streamed Karl Franz on Legendary, gave him a suboptimal army just to try how greatswords perform and he did just fine, pretending like beating Karl Franz's campaign is some extreme challenge is laughable.

The best thing he has going for his is the 50% income from ports, but while the rest of the bonuses are good, they aren't anything amazing. The -1 turns for knights is probably the second best thing, but until you get to the later stages of a campaign it isn't going to help you out too much you will mostly be recruiting knights of the realm. The thing is though, in the later stages of a campaign, as Bretonnia you can have so many local recruit slots, that reducing the recruit time isn't going to matter, and you will have won the campaign by the time you want to start getting out grail vow knights, so it really doesn't matter. I guess the best use of that one will be for getting questing knights, but I think you might be better off with just knights of the realm. The biggest problem of all though is the fact he starts in lustria. That is not a fun place to be in and if you decide to confederate other Bretonnians early, and migrate back, you will just be at such a disadvantage, having to fight the A.I. after it had time to build up, something you can prevent if you play Carcassonne. I think you are also underestimating just how much casualty replenishment bonuses are good for Bretonnia, as asides from damsels there isn't other way of increasing their replenishment, so when it is time to go into unpleasant climate it wont take you 50 turns to replenish half a units health.

@@CultistOfkhorne The +15% casualty replenishment is very nice, don't get me wrong, but not quite as strong as Bordeleaux's bonuses as a whole imo. Also the location in Lustria for Alberic is not bad I think. Jungle climate means questing vows are easy and it is suitable. I don't see it as much of a problem. He can conquer the vast majority of it in reasonable time by just expanding south and west, making some strategic alliances and/or NAPs as he can somewhat pick and choose his enemies, then use Lustria as a base of operations to expand from. It even does his port income bonus quite well so he's in good stead to do so, with no sea attrition as well. In contrast Faye faces multiple tough opponents from the north and south, many legendary who will curbstomp friendlies around her. It's a start that has its own limitations. She can however deal with it well and become very strong. I just don't think Alberic is that bad as to be in weak, especially if you're gonna put Faye so high in comparison. I think he's underrated and should be higher than Louen at the very least.

He is higher than Luen, they are both weak, but he is slightly stronger. It's fine if you think he isn't weak, or should be higher placed, but I don't think you realize how bad the maps are in lustria for cavalry (small, obstructions, trees everywhere), cavalry is just not suited for fighting in lustria, so unless you are auto resolving every battle, then you will have a hard time beating some major opponents, such as rats and pirates. In comparison, they fay is fighting in her home territory, can kill every major enemy by turn 20, and just start conquering the map.

@@CultistOfkhorne You can get a good chance at auto-resolving. Can team with plenty of decent allies for starters. The stable lvl 2 gives you easy access to Knights Errant and Knights of the Realm immediately, and the global buffs them nicely, and makes them more affordable, plus benefits I mentioned in an earlier comment. The battles are mostly a skill issue. You can usually use your cav to secure good points quickly and your peasant bowmen to bait them out with fire. If they move towards you can hammer and anvil them + cycle charge them to death easy.
