Reacting to Metallica St Anger HOW BAD IS IT?
YA KORN IS BACK ON TOUR !!!!!
We have nine inch nails at home. Nine inch nails at home:
For me it’s a masterpiece
The album is a grower, 2nd half is masterpiece
React to madonna American life directors cut
I didn’t like it when it first came out and Bruce’s Vocals took a lot of getting used to if I’m honest. They are becoming the weak point for the band unfortunately. It has grown on me overall however as the years have gone by and I like it the most now than I ever did before. But it’s still no more than a 6/10. Pros Solos, Song Structures, Oriental Vibe Cons Vocals, Intro and Outro Lengths, Keyboard Mix.
I pretty much agree with what you said here. It pains me to say or think it as I was a huge Maiden fan growing up. Surely even the band know what they are releasing is sub standard. You made the point that the album sounds half baked. I heard a comment from Kevin Shirley about the recording process once. He said it was usually Steve and himself in the studio, and Adrian is off fishing, Bruce is elsewhere doing whatever etc. it made me think “Hmmmm….” But it was Derek Riggs who said something that made me think. He said a band like Maiden isn’t a rock band, they are merchandising company posing as a rock band. And this got me to thinking, why would Maiden keep releasing the pap that they do? Is it because with each album there is a new incarnation of Eddie? Surely a new incarnation of Eddie provides many opportunities for new merchandising. It is pretty common knowledge that album sales aren’t what they were. Food for thought
awful
serj being on this album was a total jumpscare lmao
Diabolus is one of the BEST metal albums ever. Such veriety of metal styles and, frankly, amost EVERY song here is a hit to all metal listeners around. To me, the combination of Overt Enemy (one of the best songs in the world) and Perversions of Pain might be the best-listening-to pair in history! Dude, listen to it as a 'metal' album, not a "Slayer"album. Play it in your car a couple times... You will see what I mean.
Amazing album
I have a vest from high school my taste has changed a lot a lot of thrash bands I still like the bands, I just love more black thrash now so I’m making a new one. I seen people using E900 glue from craft shops instead of ironing them on. That slaughter one is nice!!
I found it funny how much you struggled with the scoring. It’s ok to give them all 9’s and 10’s. It was funny how the opener had the lowest score when it was one of the best songs on the album.
Best album ever??
I've seen comments calling this Slayer's St.Anger, but I have to think that anyone who would say that has never heard either one. This one was Slayer trying to find which way to go next. St. Anger was Metallica proving that they had lost touch with the genre that had given birth to them, as well as their fan base. Diabolus never feels like it was made by a bunch of rich assholes who released the metal equivalent of "The Emperor's New Clothes." I tend to look on it in the same light as Entombed's Wolverine Blues or Swansong By Carcass. Though not as successful as those albums, whether or not it's good or bad depends greatly on which group of fans that you ask. Those who hate everything after Reign In Blood will most likely detest it. While the ones that can live with and enjoy a bit more variance of sound will usually at least agree that it's not all bad. God Hates us All was also labeled by some as a "Nu Metal" album pretty much before it had all four legs on the ground. Show me a Korn album or a Limp Bizkit album that sounds like either and I will gladly bow in defeat. I've always assumed that they are talking about the lower tuning employed on both Diabolus and GHUA. To me it just made Slayer sound thicker and nastier. Every death metal band (a genre that would probably not exist if Slayer had decided to play polka instead of thrash metal) on the planet had beaten them to it long before either album was written. If it is, then I guess Dismember,Autopsy, and Cannibal Corpse are Nu Metal bands too. So was DIM or GHUA Slayer's finest hour? Fuuuuuuck no!!! That came sometime between 1983 and 1990, depending on who you ask. Would they be towards the bottom of a tier list made by most any Slayer fan born before the year 2000? That is almost a certainty. I think it would be equally certain that almost every one of us old knuckle dragging, grey haired fucks would say they are better than anything that the other 3 members of the Big 4 released during the entirety of the 1990's. They were never the most technically gifted of those bands but they made it up in speed, aggression, and attitude. None of the big 4 even came in a close second. I don't own one Slayer record that I'm ashamed for any real metalhead to know about. Who in the hell could say the same for Anthrax or Shitallica? Yep... that's pretty much what I thought.
also, birthmark became one of my favorites over the years, and that breakdown section is probably my most fun deftones riff to play on guitar.... i love when the repeating cords switch the octave in one of those runs... that feels so good
deftones have 3 fantastic albums, this is the first and best.... it's always kind of tragic when the first album is the best but it is the case so frequently that i've learned not to despair about it.... it kind of makes sense.... you best output is when you're hungriest and the first album is THAT for many artists
Most people would disagree and say their third album White Pony is their best. Personally it’s their second album Around the fur for me. What most bands say is they have the most time to make the debut album because they aren’t signed while building up their collection of songs. The second album comes out weaker because they don’t get to spend as much time and tends to be written coming off or in between tours. I think with atf the band broaden the variety of their songs, wider range of emotions and became better musicians and song writers. Adrenaline has some good songs but wouldn’t make my top five albums for them. I like where they took their music in later releases and can understand why you still prefer this rawer version of the band.
@@sharinglungs3226 around the fur is fantastic too... but notice that we are talking about the first 3 albums, so my point is really pretty much still the same... anyhow, it is meaningless to me what the majority might say, how often is the majority right in your experience?.... ever?... most people are not that bright so siding with the majority, by extension, might mean i'm siding with the less intelligent segment... i'm comfortable with my stance
i consider this one of the "perfect" albums... and i've only designated this label to maybe a dozen albums all time
I think Sodom are the greatest metal band of all time, they've never released a bad album; even a lesser Sodom album is pretty damn good. I was never a Slayer fan tbh Tom said in a few interviews that the secret to their success was remaining consistent. I think people have taken him a bit too literally, I think he means he's never lost his hunger as musically they've shifted quite a bit but IMO successfully so. I think Equinox (from Obsessed By Cruelty) is their worst track cause of the fart sound which is unintentionally hilarious but the rest of the track and album is a banger.
Fun fact, they gave Billy Idol a writing credit for Bad Decisions.
This review is amazing because it captured my exact reactions when I heard it the first time. It's almost better you having not heard anything after the second album (and I'm assuming The Voidz) because it shows just how far The Strokes have come.
Great review!
Thant you for review, dude! cheers!
I just came across this and I love your reactions and insights on the songs. I noticed you haven’t uploaded in months but hope you continue!
Thank you for what you do.
the black sabbath patch is upside down
thanks so much for this
Охуительно , у меня на жилете на спине тоже Slayer .
Love this reaction video!
Excellent Reaction. It's great to see someone engage with the music with genuine emotion. Thanks for this Manny.
Black Metal and death Metal together bullshit I will never do that Black Metal only 🖤🤘🏻
hey im kind of new to metal what's that song in the back ground?
Dumb question: do you sew over the finished edges or just inside of the edges? Thanks for the great video!
Glen Marnoch highland single malt , I have seen labels for this whisky having worked at Grants . Though I have not seen it being bottled. I would say it’s produced my grants the Aldi highland single malt. Interesting that you mentioned Glenfiddich , you maybe correct from that distillery.
fking nice
What Happened To You is about Chi Cheng who passed away in 2013 after being in an extremely awful car wreck in 2008.
Yeah you fucked up lol 😎🤘
Maaan, saw Napalm Death a week ago, and Contagion is one of my favorite songs of theirs, so naturally the headbanging began as soon as the video did 🤘🏻
Bro has ghost 💀💀
Lol am I stupid or did you entirely skip Needles and Pins??
I usually get high before I listen to deftones but sipping whisky is just a hard
just like u said it in the video you wanted metal from this album but only 2-3 songs went in that category, to be honest i am not surprised because mostly poeple who shit on this album are metalheads so u are just one of them, also overall listening to Avenged Sevenfold without headphones is just a bad idea but particularly listening to this album on speakers is just violation also the fact that u think they run out of material tha's why second half of album sounded trash is just so absurd. they can easily make "badass" music and ones that can be on repeat 24/7, they just wanted to create something that isn't done on every metal album, also if your favourite album "The Stage" was driven by amazing guitar pieces from synister and amazing drums from brooks this album kinda pushed that away and vocals and bass guitar became more dominant, that is something u don't notice on first listen but after period of time u kinda get that it was intentional. hope u will listen to some of these songs on proper headphones because believe me the ratings of the songs will change from worse to better
My favorite deftones album! and probably in my top 3 albums ever!
i only came here for the codex reaction but it was hilarious, keep it up
OHH MY GOD WERE IS HE TOURING! i love wednesday 13 so much!
Cosmics got me fucked up
that is clean 👌
this is literally so cool
Sabaton patches,love to see them
The lime is nice with lemonade, someone said it was nice with fanta lemon. That's definitely not for me, didn't like it. Tried with with Lime Pepsi Max, but just tasted like rum and coke. I could definitely get the lime and caramel with the diet lemonade and would buy again to use with just that. You get the sharpness of the lime, and the caramel came through, couldn't drink it neat to strong. 😊😊
