how to change the wheel on screen. I watched some on youtube and it doesnt have wheel configuration in settings.

I have a 2019 M3 Long Range. Older Processor.. will I get this update?

Been on this update for a week. The updated GUI adds very little for me. The full screen display is quite distracting while driving, as you can see movement in your peripheral vision. It also moves the “speed modes” (speed limit, TACC) from the left to under the speed display. For goodness sake Tesla, pick a spot and leave it there. Increasing the size of the speed display is a bonus though. Tried the new “Parking Assist”, with its wobbly grey vehicles. Did not like it and switched back to USS parking. It’s a shame Tesla doesn’t want to use a 360 view like other manufacturers.

It saw all those things before, it just didn’t use processing power to present it to you on the screen.

It’s great that dogs, pedestrians and cyclists are seen. Does is recognise a horse though? Haven’t see. Any videos of that?

Did all these updates and now my Autopilot won’t activate due to a list of possible reasons that I have done through but still not l working. I think it’s the lane detection as the indicators now won’t deselect after changing lanes either??? Has anyone else had issues? 🇦🇺

This is a fairly pointless tech review, pandering to the Tesla marketing of mostly cheap and irrelevant features. You might as well be reviewing an iPad, woooooòoo, look at this.

Nice review! Our experience with the navigation progress “block” (estimated time of arrival, projected state of charge at destination etc), that is now separate from the “block” with the directions, making it a bit harder to read when driving. (Direction upper part of the screen, progress at the bottom of the screen). In LHD cars the progress block is a bit being blocked by the steering wheel. would be nice in a upcoming update to have the progress block merged into the direction block in the upper part of the screen, having everything you need in the same place instead of having your eyes searching on the screen for too long.

Hi, The software drop. Does a Tesla have to connect to a router in order for this to happen? Does it connect automatically to starlink no matter where it is to download? Could you please explain the requirements to download to your Tesla? :)

Frustratingly the street visualisation full update only applies to cars with the Ryzen chip, which mine doesn't (2020 M3)

The real benefit of vision park assist is the three dimensional modelling of the surroundings, letting you spin the view. Got that in an update a few months back and it’s made navigating some of the tighter parking spots in Manchester a lot easier - albeit it’s still inconsistent with distance and I wish it had ultrasound sensors. Improvement on the original version though! Good tip about forward collision warning, I don’t think I set ours to late and it’s been super twitchy!

I get sooooo frustrated when reviewers compare a car with a Tesla and then ignore the fact that a Tesla ÔTA update is a regular and full functionality update, whereas the competition update the infotainment (maps really). So today’s comparison will be massively different than the 5 year 2nd hand review when the Tesla will be up to date on software whereas the other car will have 5 year old software.

How’s the,navigation voice after the update ? Here, I updated from 2024.8.9 and after the update the nav voice sounds are completely muffled,and inaudible, like they’re being spoken by someone trying to speak through a thick pillow. I’ve done a screen reboot but it’s not helped, tomorrow I’m swapping the nav language to see if that changes anything, but if not it will probably be a full reset, and then a service request if necessary. I’m still looking forward to trying the adaptive matrix headlights but haven’t had the need to take the car out in the dark recently.

Btw. It’s spring time until June 21st. 😁

One thing as a non Tesla owner I am curious about, will this work in poor visibility such as thick fog? If so what a fantastic plus. I love my Kona ev but if I ever change it a Tesla would be on my list.

Fsd in the USA works well on country roads with no markings, roads with tight curves and roads with obstacles and traffic in towns. There are many videos of this.

missing regen line

The improved wiper controls will save me having to stab at the screen whilst driving blindly in sudden downpours waiting for autowipe to function. Be nice if it could be saved as a card rather than disappear after a few seconds. Also like the speed camera alert chimes but again would be nice to have the option to have this available when not using navigation. Tried Tesla vision and immediately got a warning that it had been downgraded, so may revert to parking sensors which I’m glad I have. My other EV (Skoda Enyaq) has to wait 6 weeks for a dealer appointment to upgrade, which will then take 2 days. I doubt the improvements will be anywhere as good as the Tesla spring update. The last day of metrological spring is 31 May, so just in time to qualify as a spring update here in the UK.

It’s funny, non Tesla drivers often say to me ‘ooh I couldn’t live with no instruments right in front if me’ but I can honestly say it probably took me less than a minute to get used to it and I’ve never looked back!

Hi Ian thanks for video. I got update yesterday - really like it. I didn’t get park assist as part of the update (2024.14.5) but got the rest. Any idea why? I have an oct 2023 RWD model Y (no USS), AMD Ryzen processor and have enhanced autopilot option. Thanks!

Mine updated last night. They have increased the Speedo character size too, which is good.

Am I missing something or have they got rid of the 3 flash indicator with a gentle press ? Now it flashes forever until I over correct or manually cancel ??

My dream is for the navigation to allow offline maps to be available for your chosen areas of travel. I live in California and we have vast mountain ranges and huge desserts with no coverage, unless you have Starlink in motion. I would imagine that the UK also has areas with no cellular coverage as well?
