Simpson Desert Ultimate loop | Riding the sea of sand in central Australia
Переглядів 12 тис.4 місяці тому
Something different this time! We take on lead rider duties with Daryl Beattie Adventure's Ultimate Simpson Desert Loop Tour. That means we weren't dragging around camera gear, but we managed to shoot a heap on the phone and GoPro so we could give you a look at some of the amazing tracks and explain some of this area's rich history. Come and check out famous tracks like the French Line, the Col...
10 Top Adventure Tour Tips

#top10adventuretourtips Organised adventure tours generally do what they can to offer varying degrees of organisation and creature comforts. They're a great way to ride with pre-assessed routes, medical staff and fuel stops all planned out, as well as a top opportunity to meet new people who love doing what you love doing. Many of the same rules as a solo ride apply to a tour. We've compiled 10...

#CFMOTO450MT #IBEX450 Take a look at all angles of the CFMOTO 450MT global launch as Damo heads to the Philippines for what was a huge event for the company. The 450MT offers unintimidating adventure on a small budget and, after riding the 450MT, we have little doubt other manufacturers will jump into this capacity. Don't be surprised to see a T4 somewhere down the line. THE GEAR THAT GOT US TH...

YAMAHA TENERE 700 WORLD RAID - the greatest Tenere ever built?
Переглядів 70 тис.8 місяців тому
The irony of the World Raid is that Yamaha built a bike that will inevitably take attention and sales away from its sales champion in the standard T7. By fusing all the elements that people love about the T7 with enhancements in all the right places, the World Raid has a legitimate claim to be one of - if not the - greatest Tenere ever built. Non-standard parts on our World Raid: Pirelli Scorpi...
HONDA CRF450RL REVIEW | Downsize your adventure?
Переглядів 50 тис.11 місяців тому
We take the opportunity to ride Honda's CRF450RL in three different builds from stock to sensible mods and then we take things just a little further and jump on Daryl Beattie's own 450RL. All mods are listed below. Come for the downpour and the epic riding, stay for the schnitty and the salacious sauna scene. We crammed a lot into the two-day ride and we came away with our eyes wide open to the...

I have full mesh type gear different brand. It’s great. One thing though keep drinking and douse yourself in water as often as possible as the airflow sucks your sweat away, and you will dehydrate. For Aussie dry heat I wear something underneath that will hold water Cotten tea shirt works for me. Maybe Lawerence of Arabia had the right gear. Thanks for review I need new pants.😊
Good point. I started wearing cotton shirts a couple of summers ago and it's a game chamger over a riding jersey. So much more comfortable.
Good one, water crossing
Awesome Damo! Stoked to hear you're loving the gear.
Why in black….
You can get the jacket in a lighter sandy colour called Desert as well.
That was the most peaceful, stunning, and hilarious - amazing videos I've ever seen! You've just made me go from I can wait for my new AT to, I want it now! 🤣
Hi Damo, the LEATT gear is absolutely top notch and excellent value for money. I’ve got the DriTour Pants and Multi Tour jacket, replacing another well known brand. The biggest issue I found in looking at the LEATT range is dealers stocking the range - if I’m spending upwards of $1k on motorcycle gear I want to touch it, feel it and try it on, not take a punt on an online purchase. LEATT have great products and they have people like yourself promoting the brand, but if the punters can’t see it, they’re unlikely to buy it. LEATT can make a huge impact in the market if they can get the product into shops.
Hi Phil, appreciate your feedback but we can promise you that it's not from a lack of trying! Can we suggest you ask your local dealer to consider reviewing and stocking the range? The more riders requesting these products in-store the more likely the dealers will be to carry stock.
Yeah, I get it Phil. And I'm the same - I want to try it on first. I don't think there's a company trying harder at the moment to get into stores though. If you ever need some help finding a stockist let me know and I'll try and find a location.
That damn seat!
It's one of the worst in the history of motorcycles
A "non-binary" motorcycle. PLEASE leave this shit out of the motorcycle world.
how could they know how much water is in that basin
And solid Japanese engineering! Don't get me wrong, I love the 990 Dakar performance, but the maintenance is insane! This is looking to be my next bike. Thanks for sharing man.
What is that song and the artist? " Let it all burn down in the fire" Shazam doesn't help

I think you nailed it in the thumbnail - "confused enduro" 😮😅 (In my humble opinion) (From a norden 901/indian scout owner)
Excellent short! Excellent song choice and perfectly personifies ADV life! 🤜
Great video. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers from Seattle
Nothing happened. As much as I like my 890R, as a life long dirt rider I know it can hurt me really bad. 4 friends have found out the hard way riding these things. Push a little too hard and it is surgery time baby.
Yamaha could add me to the world raid that would be great
Thanx Damo.🙏 What a ride.😍👌You can be happy to live in Australia. Whish to see more content from you like this!🤗 I watched this Video ten times I guess! 😃 Waiting for the next mate! Ride safe! 🍀🙏🍀 Carsten 🇩🇪
Great video champ
Which is best Transalp 750 or Suzuki v-storm ❓️
I thought I would chime in. I feel they are close. The air filter location is what seals it for me. Suzuki is under the seat and honda under the fuel tank. Neither has tubeless tires or cruise, so again, very close.
The hunt for the red October.😂😂😂😂❤❤❤🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🏍️🏍️
Great video Damien. I love my world raid. Looking forward to seeing you on the trails. Cheers, Phil.
How tall are you?
Bang on 6-foot mate 👍🏻
Is there a Murray update comming soon', please ?
Yes mate. Should be December 👍🏻
Have an AT (nonAS) DCT. I will never ride anything else.
Beautiful edit you put together bro , I wish I can come to Australia
Ace video and cinematography! Your Culinary guidance and wisdom is set to stir many Emotion and is somewhat inspired! 😂 The amount of editing and time required in creating this video should also be recognised and applauded! 👍🏼👌🏼😎

Thank you mate. Always happy to handle any cooking questions too 👍🏻
Great video and 26:29 yes I have seen a bright light shoot across and instantly make a 90 degree turn and did id a few more times faster than anything possibly can still in shock. Believe it or not
I 100% believe it mate. Some weird stuff going on out there. We saw those same lights again when we did the Canning Stock Route a few months later
@advlife In a year or two I am going to have to go to Australia and do some riding and motocamping not sure which way is better purchase a bike there and sell it when I leave or what I have not looked into but I have time.
Love your video just think all these new bikes coming out have to much technically that a lot of us don't want
I hope you get to cover the CFM 800MTX seeing as you rate the 901 :D Love your content!
Working on it now mate 🫡
@@advlife That's awesome!!! If you're near the Mid North Coast NSW, I'll race you on my Wee Strom :P Just kidding, I couldn't race a soccer mum on it!
I don't have the luxury of finding other ADV riders. There aren't many in this part of Australia. No tour companies or groups either. And to be honest, I just prefer riding alone at my own pace! The closest ADV rider I know (of) is Adam Reimann, but I don't think he'd be interested in riding with me lol. As for tracks. I just ride along looking for them! And what you mean by "show up on a bike fit for purpose" - I wouldn't even know what that means. Sounds a bit "elitist"? I have a CB500X, I imagine I'd get laughed at. Just as well I ride on my own I suppose.
Arrive at a week long ride with a flat tyre, rattling headstock and filthy airfilter then you have a bike not fit for purpose. It shouldn't be up the tour crew to fix a bike that arrived in a munted condition and keep it going all week.
Just discovered your channel. Great stuff. I'm an old dog learning new tricks. 53 yrs old. First bike in January. Got 8000km already and can't get enough. Hardest thing other than learning to ride, is all the gear I want/need!
😂 bung hole of granite! Awesome review. You guys look like you had a great time. I am looking at a 2019 450RL currently
No cruise control on Tenere is a deal breaker. Riding long trips and constantly having to look at the speedo to not get a fine takes away so much from the riding experience. For me the Tenere is the best bike available but that one thing would stop me from buying one
So you’d say that this type of ride is where the cfmoto 800mt explore would shine?
It would certainly do most of it just fine. Once we got to the mountains and rutted hills it would face its toughest challenge but not everyone chose to ride those routes. There's more than one way from point A to point B!
I see the that the cfmoto 450 mt is a quite uncompromising big adv bike with smaller engine (which is perfect) lmao
Cruise control would have been nice
Loving your vids, Damo 👍 Great quality and always a solid laugh.
