I’m almost certain the game does tell you about the rocket toys having fuel in them since the first time I played the game that was the solution I went with. I didn’t even know (until now) that there was another option. I do agree that the quest is tedious in some spots, though, especially sneaking around the basement full of invisible enemies if you’re trying not to kill any nightkin. Also the ghoul sniper down there turns hostile really quickly if you stand in the wrong spot.

New Vegas was so good because the freedom of choice. Fallout 3 and 4 give the illusion of choice, they're alright action games but have shallow RPG elements. None of your decisions really have stakes at any point

I like FO3. yes, it takes time but I kinda love it. the main Issues for me personally as you said. Its not a RP Game, what was my sell point with the first two games. And thanks to that I never have urge to replay it

Yeah, I made Harder Humans and Mortal Player specifically because the game is stupid easy. Really cool that you can select your backstory in the Sands! I might have to try that out! That fight at 3:40 was hilarious too.

They’re both really good, I just prefer new Vegas because it has some of the best stories, areas, and characters I’ve seen in a video game.

Fallout 3 is my favorite Fallout. It's the first Fallout game I played, I love the game. But I must admit it's kinda jank, after it I bought FNV and I liked it, FNV is a refined product of the flaws of Fo3. But it doesn't make it the "GOAT" and it's not perfect.
