    A few questions, at 2:37.0 you mentioned two parts glued together. I am not sure what parts you glued together? ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkxqcbXGPJEGsomxKYIStRK2NuGre4Nz2rE?si=iDP0XJViSdBCUPri I also don't know how you connected the Spine clip with the ball end to the part you say you glued together for the large cable. The one near Z screws that where to close to your liking. Otherwise this is a great video, and thank you. I look forward to seeing more of your videos on Neptune 4 Pro.

    I was never fond of the cable routing on the otherwise excellent Neptune 4 Pro, but I've printed a *LOT* with it over the last year and in practice, the cabling has never been a problem for me. That spinal column cable support for the extruder cable is sick. That's worth printing just for the looks. BTW - I designed and 3D printed a little waste bin that clips on the left side of the Neptune 4 and Neptune 4 Pro. It's useful to have a little bin to catch prime strips, nozzle ooze, skirts, bent filament ends that are snipped off when loading a new spool, etc. I uploaded the design to Thingiverse and Printables, but it won't fit after you add the cable chain on the left side.

    • @Dirt-E-Bikes
      @Dirt-E-Bikes 21 день тому

      @@Liberty4Ever such a waste bin sounds very practical. Can you tell me the name of your bin, wo i can find it on printables? I mean, as you said, i cant fit it on my printer, but maybe others would like to build it. Cheers ✌️

    • @Liberty4Ever
      @Liberty4Ever 21 день тому

      @@Dirt-E-Bikes - I searched for "Neptune 4 waste bin" on Printables and my waste bin was the first item listed. It's model 611113 on Printables. Searching for that number should return only one result.

    I've been using my Neptune 4 Pro for over a year. I was thinking about making a small print farm for a new product and was looking at the Sovol SV06 Ace but realized that the only real feature it has that my Neptune 4 Pro doesn't have is a web camera, which is fine because I never needed one when the printer is next to my computer, but I would want to remotely monitor a small print farm. The SV06 is currently $40 more than the Neptune 4 Pro. I can buy a very nice USB camera and still have money to put toward a MicroSwiss FlowTech hot end to make nozzle replacements super fast and easy for high volume print farm use. Not needing to support another 3D printer is an advantage too. It's great to have only one set of maintenance and repair parts, and only needing familiarity with one 3D printer.

    • @Dirt-E-Bikes
      @Dirt-E-Bikes 21 день тому

      @@Liberty4Ever Hi Liberty4Ever, that sounds lile a very well thought plan. What material do you plan to print your product, and what nozzle size you go to use for that?

    • @Liberty4Ever
      @Liberty4Ever 21 день тому

      @@Dirt-E-Bikes - We currently sell a couple of products printed in 95A durometer TPU, and the goal has been to make the layer lines as small as possible. The new higher volume product would actually feature the layer lines as grippy ribs so I'm planning on using a 1.0 mm nozzle. I have the MicroSwiss FlowTech hot end on my SV08 and love it. I haven't upgraded the Nepture 4 Pro, but MicroSwiss makes a hot end for it, so I'd be able to use the 1.0 mm MicroSwiss FlowTech CHT high flow nozzle. As an added bonus, printing with a 1.0 mm high flow nozzle would really crank out the parts... probably an hour each.

    • @Dirt-E-Bikes
      @Dirt-E-Bikes 21 день тому

      @@Liberty4Ever that sounds good, and i guess you would save a lot of print time with this 1mm nozzle. I stuck on my 0.6mm nozzle, its a cheap nockoff of that famous highflow nozzle i forgott the name of... Did a video about it a while a go. And since i use this one, i have zero problemo with clogging, and also lile you mentioned, print time is way faster... Not so fast lile on yours with 1mm i guess, but for me its good enough ;-)

    • @Liberty4Ever
      @Liberty4Ever 21 день тому

      @@Dirt-E-Bikes - The Neptune 4 Pro was my 11th 3D printer. The SV08 is my 12th. Every time I'd buy a 3D printer, I'd buy extra nozzles for it, in case a 0.4 mm nozzle was so clogged it was easier to replace it, but also because I thought I'd use different nozzle sizes for different print jobs. In practice, it was so difficult to change nozzles and so likely to cause problems (broken heater wire, broken thermistor wire, bent extruder mount, etc.) that the only time I changed a nozzle was to repair a 3D printer when it was broken. The MicroSwiss FlowTech nozzles can be changed in one minute, single handed, using only a 7 mm nut driver, cold swapped. Now I can change a nozzle to make a print faster/better without worrying about damaging the 3D printer. The quality of the MicroSwiss nozzles is also much nicer than the manufacturers' nozzles or the simple brass nozzles for sale in the aftermarket. The MicroSwiss nozzles are polished, nickle plated, have low friction coatings, etc. I'm finally getting into carbon fiber filled materials and they need a hardened nozzle, and most require a 0.6 mm nozzle or larger to avoid clogs.
