Maybe I missed it, but one of the other benefits of em3ev's packs is that they use 2 wire BMS's, so you can charge through the discharge port. This is useful for bikes with Regen, or when using a battery doubler with charge port
Thanks for sharing this info with us Punkdigerati. That's true, and its also a good advantage. Since I only drive middrives without regen at the moment, I was not aware of this. Top 👍
@@Dirt-E-Bikes, assuming the battery was top balanced before the ride, any one cell group deviating that far from the others at such a high SOC is definitely a problem. Bare minimum that cell group will trip LVP at full throttle long before the others, making a 10ah battery effectively an 8ah battery. If that cell is also low even when not accelerating, probably a dead cell. (CID tripped) so it’s showing both lower capacity and more sag. It will be interesting to see what the seller says.
@@Dirt-E-Bikes, I’m not familiar with that BMS but it looks like one with passive balance only, and will only balance at the very top of the charge 4.18v or higher. If you charge the battery and #12 reaches 4.2v significantly before the others, then that group has a dead cell. One charge and discharge cycle will show whats wrong. Hopefully they will repair it. This video pretty much shows it was defective before it even had 2 cycles on it.

Having a BMS that can do cell balancing, has bluetooth connectivity and an app so you can see what the battery is doing is a huge advantage
Hi Claverton, I think the same as you and I wouldn't want to do without it any more.
Very nice Battery pack❤
Cool, muss ich mir auch überlegen für mein nächstes E-Bile ❤
Thats a lot of power 😮
Nice vid
2:19 cell group #12 has a problem. But can’t tell if it’s improper battery construction or bad cells with the limited information from the video.
true, group Nr.12 is a bit weaker than the rest.
Not sure if this is a big problem, i will check that with em3ev and will let you know what they think.

@@imho7250 the battery should have been balanced well before the ride, but i will also check on this when i next time charge it 👍
