Confusing" illusion? Paradox? Self-comp parts? Innocent? Too much
I think UA-cam puts in the ads.
Thank you so much
Shame is innocent desire to be loved, cried so much over this
I don't feel shame. I have done nothing wrong.
The first time I realise I'm got stuck was during reading Dr. Hawkins <power vs force>, it produce a energy map where shame was the lower level of energy. I instantly realise that whatever you accomplish shame will make to fallback into darkness. The feeling or undeseve and want to wide stress me out.
Wish you Healing ❤
Thanks for this great advice, I'll be listening to this one several times.
You're amazing
I'll try to do the self-compassion exercise every day and then share my insights on how it helped me. 6.12.24 - Day 1 : ✅ 6.13.24 - Day 2 : ✅ 6.14.24 - Day 3 : ✅ 6.15.24 - Day 4 : ✅ 6.16.24 - Day 5 : ✅
This was so powerful! Thank you so much!!
Thank you.
I've been following the transcript as you speak and noticed what seems to be a shift that is somewhat confusing. > You spent time explaining the difference guilt and shame, that guilt has to do with WHAT WE DO and shame has to do with WHO WE ARE, which is a useful way to think about the two. > But at 11:47 you make a subtle shift by saying, "Shame served the purpose of keeping the tribe together during our evolution by making it extremely painful when we violated group norms" and use the phrase "break (or broke) the rules" a couple of times. Such a shift is confusing: Is this shame or guilt? > I can understand that my tribe can tell me I have GUILT because I did something wrong. (Notice I am avoiding the common phrase "I *am* guilty.") If handled properly, guilt can be resolved by the tribe by extending forgivenness, or by making some reasonable compensation for the harm I caused (for example, pay a fine) and/or suffering a suitable punishment (for example, losing a driver's license or going to jail). Once this justice is implemented, I am free to rejoin the tribe. > But I also understand that my tribe may impose SHAME on me on top of GUILT. The more serious the crime is (in the eyes of tribe members), the more likely this is happen. >> If a woman gets a parking ticket, is she shamed for it? Usually not, even if the tribe does not know whether she paid the fine. >> If a man raped a child, is he going to shamed for it? Quite likely, even if he is incarcerated (receiving punishment as a result of his guilt); he would be "branded" for the rest of his life. > This is a big issue for people who want to change. Even if their guilt has been resolved, any shame can linger and can become an obstacle. Let's look at an example. A drug addict may have a lot of guilt for many incidences and has "paid the price" to society for those. One day he decides he wants to change. His old guilt has been resolved and he wants to avoid guilt in the future. But society imposed shame on him, calling him an unreliable "drug freak." Now he has to struggle--not against guilt because his old guilt has been resolved and he has no new guilt, but against his habitual behavior AND against the shame, making his recovery more diffitult. So even when guilt and shame both appear in the same situation, it is important to distinguish between the two because each must be dealt with in a different way. [Sorry this is so long. Sometimes I admire the guy who, when asked to describe himself, answered "Concise."]
Very, very good. My shame was so deep I hid my school portrait under the bed for a whole week. When my mother asked me why I hadn't given her my portrait I wasn't going to tell her that I felt ugly, she always called me a Horseface when she was angry. There was nothing safe about her. There was no one I could go to when I was hurt.
💞
it was soo sooooooooo bad but I still didn't feel 10/10 shame
ADVERTISEMENT in the middle of MEDITATION. NOT HELPFUL. at all. Just more aggravating.
This was deeply healing for me ❤
I am grateful for you. Thank you ❤

Public speaking anxiety :)
I am realizing now that I am only able to be loving and compassionate toward others to the extent that I am loving and compassionate towards myself. All my life I have been so brutal toward myself and held myself to such impossible standards, it is no wonder that I find myself struggling to love and connect with others. We have to prioritize loving ourselves first, it is not selfish, we cannot pour from empty cups. We all inherently know that we cannot love others if we do not love and accept ourselves, but I have found that this is a lifelong journey. I am honest with you to the extent that I am honest with myself, I am kind to you to the capacity which I am able to show kindness to myself.
cannot thank you enough for sharing this
Hello, my deep deep need to belong opened me up to a vulnerability that made me break out in sobs. It's very hard for me to cry, but I had to stop. I will bring this into my trauma informed somatic experiencing therapy. I thank you from the bottom if my heart.❤
"LOVE ME"
Ozley's tiktok brought me here!
Thank you very much!!!
OK shame is actually a guilt condemnation from Satan ur creator wants u to be full of love and not feel bad about yourself once u r sorry for hurting urself he forgives and remembering more any sin and he heals any shame from any abuse by promising he will always love and hold u upfaithfully proudly u r only made to be reminded or feel bad by satanic fears of this world u rise up because u r not the bad evil in this world but u r better than that don't fall for tricks don't be offended by abusive words they only come from insecure hurting people that themselves need more love so fire their hurt onto u rest in ur creator be filled with his love be happy with where u r at n what u have take a different perspective from the view u were having rise up in the light n shine n feel bright u r beautiful and right there is nothing u need to worry yourself with so tune out these negative things that were intended for your harm and destruction God bless u xxxxxxxx
i struggle with shame and feeling “cringey” so very often. lately i’ve been working on really sitting with those emotions of feeling shame and embarrassment and realizing that it reminds me of my past self and the little girl i used to be (and still am, as she is still a part of me), and i think that has helped me process those feelings and love and care for myself a little more. i hope everyone seeing this has a great day, you deserve it !
Everyone is mentioning the Tiktok girl, for me, i'm very thankful to that one Redditor who shares about Dr. Kristin Neff
My notes: 8:43 self absorption, self doubt, self criticism are key features of shame
What if you are addicted to shame and self-sabotaging?

I have benefited from Sylvin Tomkins description of shame affect as a biological "reflects".
I am watching this while working and I am just listening and it almost made me cry multiple times.
Wow this is incredible. Shame is so common, but we are so unconcious to that fact!
Well, seems God IS answering prayers through TikTok after all🙌 Thanks Christopher A LOT❤❤❤
