Ive introduced my grandson to the grateful dead, he is autistic and music helps him when he has one of his episodes. He likes the grateful dead. His fav song is touch of grey. We listen to the dead when i drive him around. I bought him a tye dye dead shirt it has the bears on it. I love that young kids like the dead.

The ultimate version IMHO. The concert at the Manhattan Center in April 1971 would be my first stop if only I had a time machine. The interplay between Jerry & Bob is exquisite with the strong support from both Phil and Billy. Garcia's guitar tone had a harsher or harder edge to it back then which subsequently softened over the years as he moved into his custom-made guitars. Skull & Roses was my first GD album, which I wore out many years ago. Long live the spirit of this iconic band.

When this came out in ‘77, my son was just a baby. We listened to the album at a friend’s house and this remains my favorite dead song and one of my favorite memories. I wonder if this time had anything to do with him becoming a hard-core dead head as an adult LOL. One of his favorite trips was going to see the Dead in Cancun in January of 2020, right before the virus shut everything down. I lost him in March of ‘21 and every now and then, I listen to this song and relive the good memories. R.I.P. Vinnie.
