Problem is they don't put CDs in New cars nowadays which I think is a crime but if you get a stick you can transfer all your great music on to it and enjoy it or just turn on channel 23 on Sirius XM radio 🌞🎶🎸🎵
You are lucky to have a CD player I haven't had one in about 6 years but thank God for Serious XM radio i have around 20 channels programmed so I am never without music when I'm driving I drive my wife crazy driving with one hand and changing the stations with the other take care 🌞🎵🎶🎸
@@philb6490 gotta love XM especially on the deads channel with all the live performances with the dates an where they played. Buy a cd player. and go to thrift shops and goodwills and check out all the cds and youll find some gold. and also by a nice cheap cd player. the sound to the ears of a cd is absolutely phenomenal !
One of the best three songs on this album and one of the best of the G.D. career. The two instrumental breaks are really strong and compelling, with no wasting of time and good backing by the drums and the rest of the band.
For some reason, this has always reminded of a hippie stuck in Afghanistan (way back in the early 1970's) who never gets up early enough to catch the bus out of town, so he settled back in the main thing there was for hippies to do in Kabul, way before the Mujahaddeem. You wouldnt believe how different things were back then.
one of the best rockn' r oll swing ever.... Grateful Dead greatest song... Band cohesion it's at their peak here...Sound easy, but I can 't help from thinking a dead wld open his marble grave to go swinging .Better than the best of the Who... and I love the Who !!
Uterly agree. Rock bands (like poets and mathematicians) seem to reach a peak in the yrs betw their late teens and mid-20's. I wish there was a lot more music like the first side of this album with Bertha, Mama Tr., Big Railr Blues and Plain in the Band.
GOOD GOOD GOOD CHOICE ! VERY GOOD VERY NICE THANKS ! MY FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE SONG (ALBUM) . SO COOL. SOOOOOOO COOOOL !!! FAMOUS RECORDING !!! GREAT !!! GUITAR SOLO SOOOOO COOOOOOL !!!!!!
Great tune from The Dead, ..this song is so relevant, .. as I am now dealing with legal situations, ..and now, I wish that " I had listened to,.. Oh,. what Mama said,"...I really mean this.. and a lesson for all !!
Jerry Garcia would have been 77 today.Noah Lewis wrote this and recorded it in 1928-he also recorded New,New Minglewood Blues and Viola Lee Blues, that the Dead did,also.WALSTIB.
I did not know this. I am generally disappointed in listen to Blues songs from the originators like Robert Johnson and I hope Id like Noah Lewis better. I really admire Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, yardbirds, and others for finding the magic in their musc and making it obvious for us in the lat part of the 20th C when i first came to know it.
Quite pssibly. I sure like the album Cover. They looked SO hilariously wasted except Bobby who wisely cleaned up his act. And Jerry looks on another plane.
Nothing like popping a cd or cassette in your car stereo with the windows down enjoying a cruise listening to the dead !

Another Noah Lewis, Cannons Jug Band tune. Dead covered a few of them. New Minglewood Blues, Viola Lee Blues to name a few.
“Well I went to the depot never got there on time” always gets me going to every time

I rank Jerry's solos on this right up there with MOZART-- "BRAIN MUSIC" 2:25-2:49 happiest music I've heard.
God this is the best news ever recorded
maybe the best bit of white boy
🇺🇸⚡
Is this remastered? Sure sounds better than the LP I had in 72.
