you’ve just saved me $600 lmao. i’m just over here trying to live a holistic life & have trust issues with all our food, supplements & even cosmetics. but i guess i’ll just stick to eating more whole foods & the yummy bone broths. thank you.
My dietician encouraged me to eat more often and snack more, and always eat a protein source for satiety at each meal and snack, just being mindful of portions of carbs per meal. Have lost about 15lbs so far just doing that. It’s been so very helpful. 🙏
On the timely part, I have been doing 2-week sprints on my goals and it has been a complete gamechanger for the adhd. I reward myself every two weeks if I meet my goal and I'm actually finally seeing results and making progress.

Eating shouldn't be your security blanket. Or your "dopamine hit" or whatever emptiness you're trying to fill. My 600 lb Life is a great show that helped me see patterns and everyone on that show spends months and years fighting against that secruity blanket need of food. There's much healthier coping mechanisms.
I agree that it is very helpful to find other coping mechanisms. But forcing yourself to stop something and trying to white-knuckle it through cravings isn’t effective long term and often causes more problems. Rather you want to recognize your needs as being valid and important and try to meet them both using non-food tools and intentionally planned food-based tools. But shame and blame is never the way forward with these things.
Is it snacking thats the problem or is over eating? If you're over weight snacking may be hurting you. If you're a healthy weight you get to tell them to eat paint chips

People like that who push "diet culture" for some reason *hate* the concept of everyone being unique and different and diverse in their needs, their bodies, their lives. Even mentioning it (in my experience) as an argument agitates them. I don't know if the idea of everyone requiring their own unique lifestyle just needs too much brain power to comprehend for those people or what, but it's sooo frustrating. A lot of people act like that, honestly. Thanks for making this video for those who need it 😭
I think people take comfort in feeling like the found THE thing that will keep them safe. Any challenge to this leads to them feeling less safe, thus the immediate and intense push back.
preach! thank you! the "paleo diet" threw me right into anorexia because it seemed that every food i went to eat, someone would mention how bad it was, and eventually i just stopped eating anything.

Those animal fats are traditional, it’s what people have cooked with for thousands of years. Why would they be unhealthy? I understand one should not indulge in them though.
Mental health cannot be improved on a plant based diet. Your brain needs fat. Also, why do so many vegans teeth/gums look terrible?

keep easy to snack on food close in the morning, I put a bowl of veggies next to me while I am working and when I am bored it eat it!

I don't have ADHD and still I had to learn about these late stage hunger cues in my 20s. I'm in my 30s now and still forget to eat most of the time - unless I'm at work where people eat lunch eventually.
Yes you know you have deficiencies and GI issues when you experience boating, dark circles under the eyes, joint pain, brain fog, low energy, grayish skin, hair loss, no period, low libido, anxiety, depression, hanger and so on.
The nutritionists are trained by the system that is pushing for the plant based diets.
I wonder what destroyed the gut lining? Could it be the glyphosate rich fruits and veggies?
When more and more people experience similar negative symptoms on vegan diet it is no longer a narrative
I have a food tracking app- but not like calorie counting. It's literally just an app where I get reminders when I need to eat, then I take a picture of the meal! Has been incredibly helpful btwn not feeling hunger cues and being in hyperfocus for a ding to go off and I'll scramble to the kitchen to feed myself. It's called "see how you eat" in case anyone's interested. (and no this isn't sponsored, I dont even make UA-cam videos lmao). Also very helpful if you're trying to show a dietician what your diet consists of but the reality is different from what you think you've been eating 😅

You just described my everyday for 2 years..
I found out about a year ago about that 'getting angry when hungy' thing when i was at a friend's house! I didn't eat much because i was excited about hanging out with them, and when i realized i was hungry, that anger turned to just me crying in the back of the car on my way home. Didn't know what it was until it happened again a few months later.
This is so real! My partner is absolutely the same way.

This is absolutely me. Hyperfocus on work until I "suddenly" have hunger pangs. Avocado toast with an egg and hot sauce is my staple food.

I don’t know if there’s a name for it, but I’ve seen similar bowls at both Walmart and target so they shouldn’t be too hard to find! If I were looking for it, I’d search for “flat bottomed bowl” probably?

No one else notice the appointment at 3 wasnt mentioned again? Makes me feel like it was missed because of being so overwhelmed with everything else. I have a horrible pattern of "dont forget dont forget dont forget" as the time creeps nearer and nearer, only to ultimately lose to the imbalance in my head and miss something important
