I recently achieved 30 with a Tamiya 10.5 T sensored brushless motor, TBLE -02S ESC, a 2S Lipo and a Traxxas TQI transmitter / receiver. The gearing is 25/64. Final drive is 6.66:1. I used the TQI because of the very fine control it offers with the Bluetooth connection to my phone. I plan to go with a 29T pinion in the near future. I will also try it with a NHIM battery to see what difference that makes. The TSM assistance on the TQI system really helps keep it going straight with only 4% assist. Do you know what your tire compound is? I think having the proper tires makes a big difference. You have a very scenic "test track"! I am in USA/NJ and have to use a parking lot! The video was fun to watch. Sorry about the stuck gear! (PS What I really want is an Arma Felony!)

wouw only 22mph on the RZ motor that's kinda underwhelming :o that said i have no idea what mine runs :P (it's offroad anyway so if it hits 22mph off road it's probably about to do a quadruple barrel roll :P) but that does make me happy i went with a 13 euro ali express ball bearing'd 17T rather then a RZ at 45-60 bucks, i mean i already have a 64/25T setup already but 27mph at that level of investment would be dissapointing (also on NIMH, LIPO has enough instructions that i'll probably burn the house down :P)

I wish they had picked some other racer than Verstappen. The way he races, he's going to get somebody injured.

The steering is not broken, these old cheap rc cars only turn when the van is moving forwards or backwards.

You're supposed to use universal axles with the back diff. I have one in my off it's tits frog and it makes a massive difference in how smooth it spools up. Your out drives on the back diff are going to get chewed up quick.

The body looks amazing! (The one that's not on the M chassis) Great work! The shell you put on the Monster Beetle is weird isn't it? The front end reminds me of the New York Taxi cabs??? Am I wrong? lol - something doesn't quite look right...I guess that's why Tamiya is known for the incredible details of their bodies. That being said though...the body looks fantastic on the Monster Beetle! Weirdly it kinda suits it!

That looks mint mate, I know it's not the best rendition of the tamiya mini shell, but it looks awesome on the monster beetle chassis, i think that was a class idea to make it into a monster mini 👌👍 top notch mate

That isn't a bad body at all! Really like it. With the front valance under the bumper you could look at photos of actual minis and cut it to shape leaving less under the bumper and bringing it in at the edges. Also, with the headlights you could try a gentle heat of a hair drier and press the small creases out. That works quite well. Great job on it, looks cracking.

Gotta love a mini! I have the original Monte Carlo Mini on the M01 chassis - it's beat up to hell but I still love it! You did a good job with this one, the second body is definitely so much better than the first. Nice one pal! 😎👍

At least this repro shell doesn’t have e the wipers sloppily molded into the windshield. The super cheap ones on Ali , etc have this…otherwise, they look similar.
