I have the Spektrum DX5 Rugged. Though I think the Radiomaster MT12 has cheaper recivers and you can use the 4 in 1 with a ELRS module. Then you can do mong range with new recivers and also use a bunch of different on recivers and come with a case that's also nice. I picked up a hard deck for 6 bucks AUD in Tokyo couldn't go past that bargain.
Your problems started when you tried to adjust your motor, that’s the issue you needed to go back to instead of changing everything else, sorry if that’s not very helpful, it’s just a thought. Best of luck, I’m sure you will get there👍
It is so difficult to diagnose your issue, but Im sitting here struggling with it just the same. Other than an esc issue at this point, I have no clue. If it is a 1060 you may or not hit the limit of current that will pass through it. Best of luck.
Tamiya plug isnt too gracious with pulling that much current. A peak ripple capacitor in line with the battery plug and switching over to a xt60 might fix that. Manual of 1060 says >12T and under 30k rpm. 1080 G2 can handle 80A/400A peak. Then again what this costs a cheap brushless they throw at you on ebay for the same.
Ok, lets start with the basics, most (95%) of RC motors spin in a counter (anti) clockwise rotation. Hook everything up as it should be, use a rubber bands, zip-ties, cable ties or something to attach the motor a pair of pliers (adjustable wrench) handle or a motor stand if you have one. a long piece of tape around the motor shaft will tell you if its spinning the wrong way, again, that's if all is hook up (attached), if it's spinning clockwise, remover the brush springs, pull the brushes out a little, loosen the endbell screws (no need to take them out) and try to rotate the endbell, if it don't move, unscrew the screws another half turn, repeat this till it rotates, rotate the endbell 180 degrees and set to zero timing (you can play with that later). Sometimes pushing on the endbell screws is needed to push the lock ring down. Don't go over crazy tightening the endbell screws, just snug them up then just a nip up, go too nuts here will strip the lock ring or even bend it, I seen both in used motors I bought. A piece of notebook (lined) paper between the pinion and spur is a good start for the gear mesh, I like to use a piece of printer paper, It seems to work for me. Now, about the radio, Is there a way to factory reset it? Test it with other gear (not in a running model) and see if the problem persists, if not great, if so, might be a radio system problem.. I hope this helps and I do hope you get things sorted out..

Think my receiver is bust.

I was thinking if the esc was the problem

Wow. Thanks for taking the time to write this. Great advice thank you.
@@rctamiyaaddict4687 We are here to help each other....
No thanks needed and best of luck mate!!!
If you have any motor (brushed) questions that you don't know, just ask, I will try to help the best I can...
You’re a star, thank you.
Did you repair the shaft on that better motor atl?
Not yet!
All you had to do was recalibrate the esc 🤦🏻♂️
How is that done? Keeps getting mentioned but what’s the process.
@@rctamiyaaddict4687 what ESC are you using?
THW-1060-RTR
1060 has no calibrate. Its auto endpoint set every time you turn it on
Can't hear what you are saying...
Check your Bluetooth connection. :)
Subtitles?? lol I need a mic if I’m continuing with UA-cam.
