Hey, nice little speed upgrade just by using bigger wheels! Same here though, I find those foams need to be warmed before they offer any decent grip! Good luck going forward! :D
Do you think it might go a bit faster without the shell / body on it? It would obviously be lighter and maybe even more aerodynamic, as Beetles are relatively tall? Or is it in the rules that you need one? + What else are you planning? You could also try taller / bigger wheels, a faster motor, a more powerful battery, changing the gear ratio if you haven't already, and they're allowed etc. It's already doing 160 mph to scale, which would be impressive for a real life Beetle, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone could get one twice as fast. I kind of wish I had got one too, to join in, but I've already just bought a Dancing Rider trike and Buggyra racing truck though, so maybe next year.
Think you’ve got to have a Tamiya body shell. There’s a restriction on wheel size. I don’t have and lipo batteries but you can use them. I have put a different motor and larger pinion in which are in later videos to come. Currently the car is actually running at 26mph which you’ll see in a future video. Thanks for the hints and tips and thanks for taking the time to watch and reach out.
❤racing time

Nice and clean run.
Thank you
Car seems to run well. Looks really straight! Congrats 🎉
Thank you.
Good run, mate!
Thanks!
Any improvement is a good improvement. 😁😁
Good to see that the different tyres helped
Definitely

Thanks. I’ve been doing one upgrade at a time to see what increase it gives. Just bought a new motor for it, have to see what that does.
Doesnt matter if its 160 mph or 16 mph a speed run is a speed run, fun, clean and runs smoothly. Doesn't get better than that.
Thank you
Nice runs👍 also, a nice place to run. Just the curbs look menacing.
Yes, thanks. The place is empty for school holidays!
Nice run, glad you found somewhere you can run without all the jogers and dog walkers spoiling your runs.😊😊😊
You got that right!
Look at that! +2 mph just by changing shoes!
Going in the right direction.

@@rctamiyaaddict4687 260 mph to scale is more like it :) - Hopefully I will get to race you next year.
