Why Movies Are Changed Around the World

Film localization is one of the most subtle yet fascinating ways studios ensure a movie feels relatable no matter where you are. It happens far more often than you might realize and unfortunately not always for the better. I Went to a Star Wars Movie Marathon
Переглядів 7082 місяці тому
The original "Star Wars" trilogy is such a massive cultural phenomenon that it somehow feels like I’ve seen it already-even though I haven’t. I finally decided to fix that unforgivable film buff mistake, and what better way to do it than by binge-watching all three movies on the biggest screen possible? It was a really fun 8 hour movie marathon, and best of all, I was lucky enough to meet an am...
How “True Story” Movies Lie to You

Based on a true story - four simple words that seem to add a sense of legitimacy to any film. We see them in the opening credits, on movie posters, in trailers and commercials. But considering there is no real obligation for any level of accuracy, the line between facts and fiction can often get blurry. Official Store ► tonisfilmclub.com Toni Vesdream tonivesdream toni...

Stranger Things - The Truth About Creativity
The truth is, an interesting topic and I imagine that it was not at all easy to crassify everything if it had been duplicated and even more so if it was from the black and white era, ah, Kerkoria has a name that sounds like Overlord Intergalatic, but going to the movie, the truth is. person normally has two big problems with this movie, the first one that I met through the youtuber termina64 (who possibly did not know him because he is Spanish speaking) would mainly be the mistreatment of judy garland, except ironically for the actress of the witch and the one that movie displaced the book so much to the point that it is literally almost impossible for a reference to the wizard of oz to appear other than this movie, that's why I liked it so much Garfield episode that parodies Pinocchio where he recognizes that the book has its differences with the Disney movie and that Disney's Pinocchio is my favorite movie, But seeing that even after its release there was still a lot of black and white film due to how expensive and difficult it was to film using that technique, I do believe that it deserves in part all the fame it received. post data as a suggestion I have the value of a critic's criticism, the truth is even though he questions what the favorite critic says, all this regret that I have had for a long time arose due to certain videos of critical nostalgia to a point that the only reason I watch his videos It's because a channel called alejandrogames subtitles the videos and you can tell that he likes that, although he has also shown some disagreement with Doug's opinions, but what bothered me the most was a review of minameisdoomguy where he reviews a zombie game where I remember he gave it a 7 or it was an 8, yes I know that he qualifies with a number, it is not the best way to rate something but what bothered me the most is the reason why he gave it this grade, he said that Giving it a number so close to a 10 would be saying that the game is almost perfect but in the video it talks about how the game experiments a lot with the existing mechanics but the truth is that all of that made me think if I criticize them it likes to be stingy with punctuation just to boost his ego, it's like that scene in Despicable Me where Gru's mom isn't impressed with anything even though he created a real spaceship, or like the typical funny guy who wants to break a perfect note just to make himself look like someone much more demanding and does not let itself be carried away by the masses, the truth is I prefer to judge something by what it wanted to achieve and how well it achieves it as I am not tempted to give an 8 or 9 to some Robert movie rodriguez because the Latin dubbing helps a lot, finally I love you, recommend a song, P.F. by Diego Lorenzini the lyrics are in Spanish but I really think it's worth it
Omg, I think this might be your best video ever! Everything is upgraded. The editing, the storytelling, the creativity in general. I love it. It’s like when a director goes from making little indie films to being picked up by a studio and given a budget to make a blockbuster. I can’t wait for future videos at this quality, but I won’t hold you to these standards all the time since it looks like this video nearly caused your computer to turn into a supernova. Great work, Toni🎉
Thank you my friend! 🙏
@ you’re welcome. Honored to call you a friend
Very interesting video, you dived deep on this one. Extremely well made! That twist ending though… O:
Some might even say the ending is the reason why this whole video exists lol But seriously, thank you. Happy you enjoyed!
After over 180 hours of research, writing, filming and editing, I'm stoked to finally publish this monster of a project. I hope you enjoy! My only goal right now is to keep swinging for the fences and continue to improve the quality with every single upload. So, here's an offer - if you hit that subscribe button, I promise I will only upload if I really think it's a good one. (minus the jokes. those will always be bad).
Stocked? Do you mean stoked?
@@kushj9568 Good catch lol My brain is definitely fried
2.5K subscribers? Do my eyes deceive me? That was the sort of production quality I expect from channels with 10M subscribers! Great video.
Aww thank you so much. I’m literally uploading my most ambitious video today - I hope you will check it out and I hope the quality has leveled up since then :)
Your lunch look delicious
It keeps the doctor away
I remember seeing Hardcore Henry when it came out and I was blown away when I heard it was shot on GoPro 3, now that's nuts!
You are absolutely tight, and a good reminder to give it a rewatch!
Its going stright to streaming surely. Its going to look like crap on a cinema screen with the shiity bitdepth of a phone. Although apple will have adapted it lile they have done for other publicity stunts. Theyre clearly copro given they are the biggest company on earth by equity they can easily afford a $77m commercial.
Did Robert Plant watch this movie? Does anybody know? Because I don't know, no, don't know? Worse than Detroit.
buster k movies is pure motivation
😅😅😅😅
Because Apple paid them a ton of money to do so and make sure they scream about it to the whole world. Everything boils down to money...
where is Quentin📽️Tarantin0*
The ignorance is off the chart. The reason they chose to shoot this movie on an iPhone is because Apple gave them a boatload of money to do so. It's simply a different version of product placement- All of this attention about the movie being shot on an iPhone has been a gigantic commercial for the iPhone, which was the exact intention. This is why the movie was shot on an iPhone.
My friend loves to say every time we watch a movie.. "This could never be shot on a cellphone" he is old and definitely wrong
its funny that they are like "yep, shot with an iphone" - yet you can see a shit load of money attached to the front of it, no off the shelf iphone filming scenario here
Disappointed. i expected some insight on why they use an iphone. Instead i got the very cliché "you can shoot on anything". Sure, but why would they use an iphone instead of say a sony FX or FS ? And better yet why an iphone instead of a RED ? Did they need to cover 10 angles again ? a RED body can come to as little as 10k. And they got such a huge budget. I want to believe it's not a stunt but it surely sounds like it is.
I guess when Fincher said he didn't think digital would ever take away the humanity of story telling he was not foreseeing the advent of AI 😬
Storytelling, is like using crayons. You don't have all the colors, or the right colors, you have to use what you got.
Well said
The creator 2023 was shot on Sony ILME-FX3 Camera and Atlas Mercury 42 mm T2.2 Lens. Not iPhone...
I think it's really amazing what you filmed with an iPhone
This movie isn’t about camera quality, CGI, or any of that. It’s not like the popular movies. I could watch it on a 360p Nokia phone and still enjoy it. This movie is just different.
Congratulations on this video taking the top spot in views after two years of your first video being the most viewed!🥳🎉
This video single-handedly pushed the channel to monetisation, it's crazy. Hopefully all videos will get those numbers within 2-3 years. And I have to admit - super happy for something to finally overtake the first video in views - I cannot stand my monotone narration in it lol
I think some of the alterations are okay, such as the broccoli change because it preserves the meaning of the original scene. However, I personally don’t support companies doing things like censoring black characters for Chinese releases of films just so they can make a little extra money (I’m pretty sure this was done on the Chinese cover of Black Panther). I think this only perpetuates the negative ideas some people hold and won’t do anything to encourage change. I don’t know, maybe a movie won’t make that much difference, but multiple could🤷♂️ Also, I’m loving this new Ai Toni they’ve just unveiled, since the real one is in Bulgaria. Hi from America, Toni! Hope those farm animals are treating you well!
You hit the nail - can't encourage change if people are bending backwards for censorship. It's a big point Rajkumar Hirani makes. I'm also loving my new farm life. Every day feels like I'm in the first act of Interstellar.
The equipment used to shoot films is essentially secondary, as long as the film tells an interesting story.
because no movie ever was even higher budget then a few millions, stop believing the hollyweird fake numbers and money laundering hype, same as video games.
Merry Christmas Toni, great video by the way.
Merry Christmas you legend. This is the most under the radar video in the whole channel, so this comment is extra nice today. Enjoy the holidays!
Nice one mate. Not getting the credit it deserves
Thank you! I hope you check out the full length version. 🙌
@ I will do that!
They should have made it 28 months
28 weeks is technically a 7 months later film. So they went to 'year' instead of 'month'
Camera: 🫤 Actors, lights, accessories: 🤑
yeah it's an iPhone but it's equipped with tens of thousand dollars worth of lenses))
shot in iphone is such a dull statement if you put it on a 15.000$ rig in front of it
WTf hvad laver bro?
lol hvad mener du?
600 Crores INR
It saves money by being small and easily movable which saves time; The most expensive part of a movie
so that's why the trailer so well edited, but the actual scenes look so damn cheap.... they can sell whatever crap they want and we eat it
The first film was shot on Mini DV cameras rather than 35mm film camera's. Danny Boyle wanted to try something different and he's attempting to do something different with this movie as well.
Samsung fans will hate this LOL Bitter Butter Jelly in 3, 2, 1… 😂
maybe if I had spent $50,000 plus for a RED, I'd try and trash 28 Years Later too. Danny Boyle could have used any camera he wanted and I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Might be underplaying the cameras a bit. Back in 2000 a Canon XL-1 was a prosumer camera and wasn’t quite a “cheap camcorder that you could just walk into a store and buy.” Maybe to a big film production (which is probably what you’re referring to). Sure it was being sold in camera/video/specialty stores but cost $4k which comes out to about $7k today. It was a coveted camera with film students at the time because of its ability to shoot in 24 frames (something that almost no camcorders did at the time).
what a trick with that lens on it lol it really fits to the society rn
28 days later looks like shit if you watch it on anything other than a dvd and crt tv
Makes it more creepy though
@@TonisFilmClub thats true. i still love the movie though
Yep you said it. Shot on iphone... and a 40k lens.
