Hiya, and thanks for dropping by!
We're a family of three. Martin, Joanne & Ellis,
and have been happy campers for years, and now, caravanners!
We love the outdoors, nature and escaping from the confines of the house,
but as tent campers, were frustrated by having a short season.
As we wanted to get out and about all year round,
the logical choice seemed to be a caravan!
After much researching and a lot of help from friends, the journey begins.
Aside from caravanning and camping, we like Geocaching,
love motorsports (rallying in particular) fixing/modifying anything and everything,
and doing things that are associated with the great outdoors!
Follow the bimbling around the country in our Abbey Cardinal caravan where we hope to make new memories, undoubtedly mistakes, share a few laughs and make the most of the great outdoors. If you haven't already, please consider subscribing and clicking the little bell icon next to it to receive updates. Take care and enjoy 🙂

Our Camping To Caravanning Story - Our Journey!
Our Camping To Caravanning Story - Our Journey!
In the early nineties, I began going camping with friends when at the time,
we did a lot of walking around North Wales & the Lake District.
As well as walking, a tent was always the accomodation,
when we'd be sea fishing also; the tent was never far from the rods!
Then as a couple, things became a lot more homely!
Gone where the days of freeze dried meals, a meths Trangia stove
and the bare basics including using a coat as a pillow,
It was the duvet and pillows from from home 😀 shop bought food and
A Coleman petrol and lantern combo! Back then, that was glamping 😀
Later on again, around 2015, when our son was 6, we decided we
wanted to go camping again, but obviously, it'd be a different type of tent camping.
So enter the family camping set-up of Vango Icarus 500, awning, carpet, electric hookup,
tables, chairs, kitchen equipment and air beds. A million miles away from that drafty dome tent.
We love camping, we really do, even now, but there's something problematic
about drying out a tent and awning in a small garden after a wet pack-away.
After a lot of wet pack-away's, setting up in the pouring rain and the car being packed
to the rafters, we decided that we'd begin looking for a touring caravan.
Not only because of the set-ups and wet pack away's, but as a rule,
the camping season was too short for us, and we wanted to get away
all year round. So something that'd cope with mud, rain and, with a heater was in order!
Camping for us was for sporadic get-aways, drop of a hat weekends away,
which with a small dome tent and not much else was certainly do-able.
But with such a large family camping outfit, camping stops being sporadic.
One of the very things that appealed to us in the first place all those years ago.
I personally, don't agree with the "so you've upgraded to a caravan", they're two separate hobbies.
It's like someone with a motorbike upgrading to a car 😀 They're totally different things!
Anyway, I'm waffling! Join us on a little trip from camping to caravanning
Once which hasn't been without its niggles, but we wouldn't change at all!
Thanks for watching and if you havn't done already, please consider subscribing

A Look Around Parys Mountain - Anglesey I wanted to spend a lot longer there, but only had time for a short stroll. Its a very wierd landscape! You almost feel like you're on a film set or walking on another planet! Parys Mountain is one of Anglesey’s must-visit locations. There is a network of walks around the weird landscape of the ancient copper mine at Parys Mountain. A sight not to be miss...

Eastham Country Park - Wirral Come along with us as we go for an early evening walk around Eastham Country Park. Merseyside. With well maintained paths, a tearoom, and interesting things to see, it's a great place to while away a couple of hours, with easy access from major roads. Some areas are a bit more gnarly than others but on the whole, accessable for all. #itchyfeetcaravanners #easthamco...

Antony Gormley - Another Place & Crosby Beach
Переглядів 8223 роки тому
Another Place, is a piece of modern sculpture by Sir Antony Gormley located at Crosby Beach in Merseyside, England. It consists of 100 cast iron figures facing towards the sea. The figures are modelled on the artist's own naked body. The work proved controversial due to the naked statues but has increased tourism to the beach. After being exhibited at two other locations, it was put on display ...

What We Tow With In Our Front Locker Following on from our caravan tour video, we thought we'd show what we tow with in our front locker when we're towing. Everything we need, but no excessive noseweight. #itchyfeetcaravanners #touringcaravan #caravantowing #noseweight
Holyhead Breakwater Country Park - Coastal Path
Переглядів 4443 роки тому
After spending an hour or two around the old brickworks at the country park, we went for a stroll along the coastal path, very nearby. The Holyhead Breakwater Country Park was opened in 1990 and is situated on the site of an old quarry which supplied stone for the 1.5 miles long Holyhead Breakwater, the longest in Europe, which was built between 1846 and 1873. Part of the park is situated withi...

Join us for a short lunchtime walk around the Great Orme in Llandudno,. Famous for its panoramic views, and the cakes from the summit cafe! Plenty to see and do, including the world's largest prehistoric copper mine; along with a lot more mining history. A Stroll Around Delamere Forest With A Geocache
Переглядів 1963 роки тому
A Stroll Around Delamere Forest With A Geocache Not too far from our caravan storage site, and only 25 minutes from our house, is Delamere Forest in Cheshire. A lovely place for a walk with plenty to see and do. Whether its peace and quiet or something a bit more fast paced. Also in the forest are a handful of Geocache's. Once of these I couldn't find, but managed to find one after a wild goose...
Making An L Shaped Lounge Into A Double Bed - Caravan Bedding
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
Making An L Shaped Lounge Into A Double Bed - Caravan Bedding An L shaped lounge configuration in a caravan or motorhome is a great use of daytime space. Especially in a smaller unit, where bench style seating can make the small area feel cramped. It's a pity that a lot of people are put off this configuration by the thoughts of making this into a double bed of an evening. It really is simple, ...

Any idea which fuse / where the fuse box is for the bathroom as the 12v ceiling light wont work (new unit and new bulb), just NO power. However I do have power to the plug in the wardrobe. (I never used the shower as caravan is for storage) but know the shower light wont switch on. Appears to be no power for lighting in the bathroom.
Love this.. Mart _ I love electronic music and prog rock... Hilbre Island with Mart on an amateur radio trip and him playing Cast on an acoustic guitar. Legend.
These are wonderful for so many do it yourself or a little repairs. Definitely something to order and have on hand. They aren't expensive, but they are Lifesavers!
I arrived here after listening to the helpful advice about sealing a seam on a caravan. So sad for you in your loss, just heartbreaking. Sincere condolences to you and your family. He looks such a lovely man.
Thanks for the tour. Really lovely caravan and layout. I’ve just got a new to us swift Harrington 2007 and haven’t towed yet but nice to hear you saying yours is dead easy to tow . Makes me feel a bit better for the hubby! 🐌
I lose the valve caps all the time too 😂
Great help😊
A really informative video, just great! and the finish looks spot on to me mate
Eastham ferry was Alton towers in 1800
Eastham Ferry Bikers to go The Tap Good Bikers pub.
Class video mate, our 2005 Lunar has just displayed some of the symptoms you mentioned and I have now ordered a replacement truma bulkhead regulator as ours completely blocked last week in Weymouth. This meant no hot water or cooking after day 1 of our 5 day break! Hopefully get it fitted in a couple of days.
Nice job. It's amazing what you can do in 4 minutes 😁❤️
Good video. Just a point if I may. You can machine polish the side of the caravan but you must use a very fine finishing polish and a very soft finishing pad and apply little to no pressure on the machine. To test you are doing it right go to a scratch window and try it on that and you should not remove the scratches. What you are after is an enhancement of the paint NOT a correction. The pain on the side of a caravan is on 35 microns thick, hair is about 55 microns, but the pain is quite hard. May years ago paint was soft and thick but not now. If you scratch it you live with it. James
Whats happened to your videos, really enjoyed them, hope all is well x
We're presently towing with a Hyundai Tucson 2litre diesel 4WD / 6speed manual / Coachman 560 with a Miro of 1447kg. Recently returned from a month of touring North East of England and both car and caravan were very stable and well matched.
Is it possible to put a fitted sheet or something on it?
Fantastic idea! Thank you for sharing. Your 2 year old video is still helping people out! I have subbed. Hope your still making videos.
Missing your videos, hope you and your boy are all doing well. x
hey mate...great vid. i have a 39yr old hobby prestige with some more than dodgy seals. you made this look super easy. gonna give it a crack. cheers mate.
😊useful thank you
I wouldn’t use the pink stuff on paintwork as it is far too gritty, best using a good compound recommended for paintwork.
Aye mate spot on idea. We forget the toilet flusher. I use puriclean & a splash of vinegar for cleaning pipes at start of season. Al do the toilet flush also now cheers.👍🇬🇧🏆
Hi can anyone please help me, I purchased this about 18 months ago, but the problem I now have, is connecting the pump to my car tyres, the connector is just letting air out of the tie and not connecting properly, does anyone know of a solution? thank you
Great video mate from Kiwi land.
Thank you, I am considering these for my van
Nice one Lar 👍
Have you guys stopped posting ? If so gutted tbh as just found you and find it educational as we’ve just got into the caravan scene 😮
Going to look at a Kuga tomorrow, your video has given me confidence. 👍
One year lad. Miss you.
After all these years still hate making up beds! I've previously been known to disappear when it comes to bed time until the job has been done and then magically reappear...
We love our trusty caravan! Love your videos! Please check out our channel!
Good item only let down by inaccurate charge display, when it displays 3 lights it only really has about quarter on a charge in it, you only get a true reading when it is actually charging.
Hi Martin Are you based in Liverpool
hello guys i have one of these - the hose seems fo have a bit of a rip does anyone know if the hose lead can be replaced from inside
I was just going to use unibond sealant, will this be OK. I think its bit of a gimmick to use the caravan one but what do you think

I'm so sorry for your loss. Thankyou for the Christmas card. It won't be a great Christmas this year for either of us. Am so sorry Martin passed away. My love to all of you.
Very helpful video. Thank you! We have a 1992 VW Cree and now we understand why our gas is sometimes slow to come through.
Does it have a presta valve ?
We brought ours about four years ago and would not be without them . we went to the factory to pick up because we only live aboue a hour away .
Love you Blog from past to present its so warming to watch ( happy caravaning ) x
Minted Van, love the layout, a credit to you and your wife, lovely van well built not like the paper mashy Knocked up, new builds today. I just changed back to a Minted 2010 Olympus 624 from a 2018 Lunar Venus, you just had to look at the Venus wood and finishing's and they scratched or broke leaving white scratches or all over dark wood areas hated it. Non digital Truma blow heating cant beat it, no bleeding radiators or filling up to make more work on holiday.
Thank you, loved this.
127 metres from wall to nav aid kiddo. checked with a wheel :D
