Nice vid Martin Hope your all well Mucka Will have to see these Iron men one day ? Fascinating gets your imagination buzzing What ? Why ? How ? Plus Sands and tides stop for no man. The foundations for these must be deep ??? ATB mate 👍👊🚐🚐🚐
Eh up Stephen, hope alls' well. They're well tarnished after 15yrs of sea water and need work doing on them once in a while as they get a bit dog eared. On Googling them, they're driven into the sand on 2 metre long spike/rods. There was a few fishermen there too with light tackle, quite popular there for flatties. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Thanks for the kind comment mate. I couldn't resist to set the camera timelapse up while I had a brew before I went home for tea. Some of the statues have been took away to be repaired I was told, but you're right, after 15yrs, they've stood up well; literally 😀 Thanks for watching 👍 Mart.
2008 seems so long ago, the year Ellis was born! If I hadn't have mis-judged the tide, I wouldn't have had to go back to complete the vlog! Gave me a excuse to get back out of the summers evening though 😀 Thanks for watching mate 👍
Cheers Phil. Midweek is the best time as you'd imagine. Of a weekend, it can get really busy at that car park, and spaces are thin on the ground! Cheers for watching mate 👍
Cheers Jon, thanks for the kind comments mate 🙂 They are very odd looking, even close up, and when its evening and the tide covers the body, pretty eerie from a distance! Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Mart. Great video mate. Love to see the iron men I remember seeing those installed on the beach on the news many years ago. Awesome Footage of there ships mate. Great content. Waiting for the next vlog. Cheers Paul and Sarah
Cheers folks, thanks for the kind comments! They're an eerie sight when the tides' half in then just their heads are exposed, you have to look twice to make sure its not a person 😀 Thanks for watching mate 👍 Mart
I wondered what happened with that! It popped up on the bell icon, but then floated away with me unable to reply 😀 The baths isnt that far from where we were. As an addition, we got a cracking geocahe from there too (the baths car park). A drilled out brick with a little tube inside....... I'm waffling - Thanks for watching mate 👍😀
Enjoyable watch. Saw this place on that Portrait Artist of the Year programme when it was whatsername out of the Mannequin film who is originally from Liverpool. My brains getting bad, I'm gonna have to Google her now lol. Love the ripply sand too. Looks a good spot. We've never ventured that way as we try to avoid going by larger cities or real touristy spots but we're probably spiting ourselves by doing so. I love your intro with the little birdie, it's great.🥰
Kim Cattrall? I had to Google that because her name escaped me 😂 It's a lovely spot and quite popular with day vans, but it is very touristy and not the quietest of park-ups. It's not Liverpool as such and a fair few miles north of the city centre towards Formby, but neverless, its pretty busy. Walking on that ripply sand puts the image steadying to test on the camera 😀 Thanks for watching folks & safe travels! Mart & Jo.
@@ItchyFeetcaravanners ha ha, yeah I googled it too when I was on about it to my 26 year old son who hadn't even heard of the film lol! Well it still looks a great spot, but thought it may get busy.
It was your vlog that inspired me to go there Sue! I remember you mentioning about it on your Scotch Piper video and thought, "I havn't been there in ages" A Friday, so it was pretty popular in the evening when I went back. Everyone with fish 'n' chips after work at the beach. Thanks for watching. Mart
@@ItchyFeetcaravanners Brilliant! I plan to return at some point and get some photos. In the meantime, at least I’ve got to see it again through your vlog 👍

Great time laps. Not been to Crosby beach since Lauren was small. Love the iron men, they have weathered well. Thanks for sharing👍Mark & Coral

That was one of the first places Clare and I visited when we got together in 2008. Loved the time lapse Mart.

So cool. The time lapse was fun.
Thanks for the kind comments folks 🙂 and cheers for watching 👍 Mart & Jo
Watching again. My comment about swimming at Crosby baths every Sunday seems to have swam off LOL

Wow 👍 You have a new subscriber
Thanks! Welcome 😀
Enjoy the time lapse quite a lot, those sculptures do have strange nips: Pete 👍😀
Haha gave me a chuckle that Pete. You want to see them when they're cold, you could hang a wet coat on them 😂 Cheers for watching 👍
Very nice. Love this place, had intended to stop by the other week but just too busy. Was this a weekday evening? Thanks for sharing, Sue.
