    Hi did anyone get vertigo along with this occipital neuralgia?

  • @lkim381
    @lkim381 29 днів тому

    I am currently battling this for 2-1/2 hrs. Was on,y diagnosed by an ER doctor recently. After seeing so many doctors who all sent me to a psychiatrist. I thought it was my eyes, went to optometrist and ophthalmologist few times. Then I thought it was my teeth and went to check with dentist several times. Scheduled to see ENT because I thought it was my ears throbbing deep in inner ear and sinus gets pressure all the time. Went to several neurologist because my head gets so heavy and can barely hold it up. Been to five chiropractors, several acupuncture’s, reiki, thousands of massage. Nothing helped. Drs had me on 11 medications including pain meds didn’t work. Took steroid shot that kind of helped temporary but only ER dr gives it on our Island which I’m not able to verify if he’s working prior to going in. I tried everything and anything guessing what it was prior to being told it was occipital neuralgia only by ER physician. Had three MRI of head with and without contrast. Found nothing. They won’t do the front doctors think I have mental illness and said they can’t do anymore. Going to see naturopathic dr today inquire about prolotherapy see what that’s all about. Can’t drive or do anything. Being in pain at a 5 is an excellent day for me! Did anyone try prolotherapy? I tried to grab and press like your UA-cam shows on my neck, but it’s so inflamed I can barely get in there. Put hot compress and hoping inflammation goes down. Any advice?

    Im looking for a cure. Mine came on aftet a mega panic attack because I was panicking about another health condition. Not yet verified but doctor thinks it is. Had CT and contrast CT which was clear. As my health anxiety was telling me it was clot or tumour. CT scans clear. All my symptoms were/are Tinnitus Dizzyness Eye strain Double vision Blurred vision Very stiff neck and shoulders Pain all over head and at its peak felt like a pressure cooker hot and about to blow. Thats what made me go to AE. Sweaty palms may of been anxiety also. Now im left with chronic head pain intermittently here there and everywhere. Massage someetimes helps but can also make it worse. Been stretching loads and loads. Using my PEMF mat Using heat rubs Using ibruprofen Tried gabapentin but didnt work and gave me weird palpitations but I already have a tachycardia condition. Weirdly i can go an hour or two without pain then its back. I am looking into taking amitriptyline as its an off label relaxent. A am working on my posture. I massge my occipital muscles daily. I started taking magnesium as I have read up it blocks nerve pain signals ndma. I am also taking L glutamine as I know it helps heal on a cellular level. I am changing my diet to paleo this week to eat a more natural anti inflammatory diet. Will try dry needling. Edit forgot to add had numb neck and back for a while and a whiplash injury in 2019 plus nausea when it first started ehich lasted 3 weeks. I am also going to try fasting as that heals.

    Hi, congratulations on your video. I wanted to ask you or others too, is it normal to have tightness in the chest especially after eating? Difficulty breathing but I feel like it's more of a muscular thing than a respiratory thing, thanks (like suffocating and a lump in the throat). I'm hypermobile with a little bit elastic skin, but I don't know if I have EDS (I only have muscle problems like this and I haven't had any joint pain or any surgery at the moment). This symptom fades towards the evening and between meals.

    Hi Kayla, I just found your channel I love your work so far. I’m just curious, if I don’t notice anything from holding those areas, does this mean that my problem is likely not active trigger points? EDS causes us to not make enough collagen to hold our bodies together. This is why our joints constantly dislocate. Tye muscles are tight because thats what is holding our bodies together. There is no cure. We strengthen the muscles so they can better help , i do get trigger point injections occasionally but eds causes gastrointestinal issues neurological issues, genitourinary problems and much more. You didnt cure yourself this is a false narrative. My kids and I have this. Dont mislead others to get a click.

    Inflammation is part of the cause of Occipital Neuralgia. I suffered with this for the first time about a month ago. The pain was terrible 😅. I went to my chiropractor who verified my findings. He massaged my neck and did some cracking on my back, which helped. I also went for a deep tissue massage on my neck and shoulder area, and you used Excedrin pain reliever so i could get back to work. I was able to wean myself off the Excedrin after 5 days. I watched my diet for any foods that caused inflammation. Also, hot and cold packs alternating on my neck and shoulders helped. I did stretching and toning exercises and still do. After about 7 days, I can say that I have not had another attack 😅. Phone usage while looking downward is a no no. Also long usage as it affects the nerves 😅 I also had a very stressful situation going on at work, which I believe was pivotal in my experience with this. I plan to do all i can going forward to never feel that pain again. I pray the same for each of you 🙏🏽

      @williams5618 i honestly haven't man. doing neck exercises for physical therapy at home using 2 specific youtube channels helped me manage the terrible vertigo and neck pain, but it took a month or 2 of me doing them daily 2x a day. the 24/7 headaches seemed to disappear for the most part on their own after months. im still suffering from the weird vision, occasional nausea, erratically high heart rate/blood pressure, stiffness and some pain in the neck with the pain running all the way down the back of my legs. bare in mind my neuralgia is caused by a subluxated atlas(C1/C2 vertebrae instability or also known as atlantoaxial instability.) the only 2 real solutions i've read that have helped ppl are a Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor, i saw one today got some xrays done and he will let me know on friday if this is something he can help me with. the other option is a prolotherapy clinic that has offices in chicago/florida. most dr's say there is 0 proof prolotherapy works but ive read a lot of positive success stories from people who were stuck like you and i who now have regained their life back.
