I dont think you should worry too much about those elephants. They looked pretty happy, cared for and respected to me. Elephants and their carer's provided you with such joy and experiences. Their very existence is testimony of the respect they have in that country. Remember the ivory trade! Now that makes you think these creatures are in a good place and space. I really appreciate your questioning though. Something we all should do that. As a farmer, we ensure animals have the best life and cared for. Also, what an experience your having. Thanks for sharing, im really enjoying your travels in Thailand Cheers.
I have stopped at 17.00 to make a comment regarding the training / riding of horses. I have been a horse rider for around 20 years and my wife for over 50 years. Anyone who trains a horse by inflicting pain should be nowhere near a horse... or any other animal. PROPER training is achieved with kindness, patience and understanding. Right, that said, back to the video.
I worked on the Warhorse movie The Hungarian horses were scared of their trainers The American liberty horses were well looked after same as the uk horses There was also some French horses who were basically in love with their trainer and a joy to watch the relationship The Liberty horses were best for opening and closing gates by themselves thou
Your best video yet, captured the city & countryside perfectly. Our condo is about 10 minutes from that white temple. Isn't that Loop a great ride until you get back into the traffic. Looking forward to the next one.
Rich & Ewa. What a truly magical episode! The elephants on the road and at the park were simply awe inspiring. Such warm, sensitive and gentle creatures! I sincerely congratulate you both for not only entertaining us but also having the courage to air your concerns with regards to the ethics surrounding such sights. It would be so easy for you to just skip over this but you decided to consider the impact on the animals! Hats off to you both! Genuinely….a master class in thought provoking entertainment! ❤️🩷
Thank you so much, it’s important to us to know we are not contributing to animal cruelty in any way, we love them and they need humans to look out for them or we lose them
Thanks so much Steve, such a beautiful land to explore here in Thailand, the views, the people and of course the Elephants are all spectacular and we are just so chuffed we can share it all with you here on UA-cam
Yes that road looked fabulous. I agree with you about riding those elephants and yes, if they are well cared for, making money that goes towards that, is beneficial. Your cheesy spud looked delicious and I bet Eva’s coconut drink tasted wonderful! Thanks, another great vlog.
Yes it does seem from our research the Thai people love the elephants and most of these places are ethical but of course where you draw the line is a personal preference.
Love that! The Chiang mai GP, that’s exactly how this feels every time you set off from another set of lights! It took us a while to realise that Thai people will often ride through the lights into junctions but they are just looking for a place to wait in the shade, under a bridge for example. We have soon learnt to do the same
Even my old Honda Click (16 years old) has the sidestand safety cut out. These two bikes you have are the first I've seen in Thailand! Can't believe they are selling them without this feature.
The Honda Cub, Dream, Wave and Honda CT125 do not have the side stand safety cut out. The bikes are basic at base price. I agree safety features should take precedence over bike fashion, styling and accessories.
Loved the music for this one. The elephants are wonderful, personally I think they're pleased. Most would have been rescued from logging, they live as long as us, so they'd remember. We found them incredibly gentle with kids. It's their nature. Going home and cooking bangas and mash will be super depressing after night food markets. Grats to the pair of you for an incredible tour!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi both . The music that you play during your drone flights is just magic. The flights really show off these wonderful sights .The one thing that i have noticed because there are so many mopeds around its mob rule . The cars have to give way lol Great stream . Love to both ride safe ❤👍👍👍
Your videos are a real highlight to the day. 😊 Your appreciation of your experiences and concerns for the people and the animals is heartwarming. Happy travels!!
The animals don't look unhappy. I get the feeling that if the elephant wanted to leave, it could ... The days you never forget. And you need a music playlist . I'm sure your viewers are all boogying like me. Ride safe 👍
The video's that just keep giving. You show us stuff just a few of have seen. Bloody brilliant stuff. Good on you both. Eva, did you enjoy the elephant cuddling you!!!
Riding off with the side stand down brought back memories when I did the same on a Kawasaki KH 250. The first bend was a right hander, so no problem, but the second was a left handed. I went diagonally across the road , bounced off a parked car and nearly hit a Morris Marina head on. Thank god for side stand cut out switches. The Elephants were fantastic. You're so lucky to have seen that.👍
Elephants look so slow but as we found out in South Africa they can run!!….my wife and I were chased by drunk buggers, never seen my wife run so fast ever. Apparently they’d been eating fermented fruit…been very wary of them ever since. Like you Rich I’m a bit undecided about elephants in captivity being trained to make money for their owners, except maybe if funds raised go directly to the animals🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Wow I imagine a drunk elephant is a dangerous one! We believe these sanctuary’s raise funds for the animals to be looked after, I imagine it is expensive to look after a dozen elephants
I liked your comment, but there have been zanier episodes. Like you I give them hard earned, so I love their stuff and the value they provide. Ride on kids!!
This was a wonderful episode of your journey so far in Chiang Mai those elephants 🐘 were amazingly friendly & loved interacting with humans this is one of the best highlights of watching you guys on your long journey through Thailand so far Amazing!🤩
@ Cozumel, Mexico because of the diving and Jerusalem because of the history. Your country makes the top 5 because of our shared history. We’ve been to London many times and did a tour around Scotland and Ireland a couple of years ago. India rounds out the top 5 because of the food and architecture. Honourable mentions to Costa Rica (you would love that on a bike) and South Africa (rented a Harley out of Capetown and toured the Horn of Africa. You would like it as they drive on the left. We will leave the debate on which side of the road is the right side 😂 )
@@ontheroadadventureI rented a car in Glasgow recently. The rental guy showed my an Audi with the whole driver’s side crunched. A guy from France didn’t make it 5 blocks. Fortunately, I lived Kenya for 3 years (army guy) so I’m used to driving on the wrong….um… left side
Regarding the sidestands, my earlier bikes had a rubber foot that extended past the sidestand foot that would ground first if the stand was down and you pulled off with the stand down and flipped it up, no molly coddling before sidestand switches.Man and machine.❤😮
Absolutely loved the drone footage at the start, your love and care for animals is under no doubt. Thanks for bringing us along on your travels... it's been amazing!! Keep safe and happy Christmas to you both!!👍👍👍
I am absolutely loving following your trip. First thing I look for on instagram is to see if you’ve checked in again. Keep enjoying the trip and for what it’s worth those elephants appear to be living a good life at that park ❤
Great video today again. Love the roads and the scenery. About elephants I don’t have much knowledge either but I liked your discussion about it. I guess it is not black or white some places are better than others. A completely free elephant is probably the happiest. Problem is their natural habitat is always shrinking. Amazing animals they are. About the side stand switch. I think your scooters you rented in Bangkok had kill switches on the side stands didn’t they? My 2013 Honda Click has anyway. Sometimes thai people disengage the switch maybe because it’s broken or they are annoyed. Now wait for the next episode 😛 Take care and have fun 👍
Yes we had this discussion the other day with a elephant keeper, in a earlier video he was saying how the elephants can be in danger when wild as people get scared and might shoot them or can take them to use in bad ways. Once again it’s human behaviours that have meant the animals lose out
Same as training a dog Calm directions and positive reward Elephants camels horses all are pack animals and respond to good treatment Riding one won’t trouble the elephant
As long as they get the carrot not the stick then we are happy. I’m not comfortable to ride the elephants, I don’t think we need to be on its back to enjoy it’s company but it’s a personal thing and we all have different lines in the sand
Hi ewe and rich well what can I say another fantastic video ! Wow them Elephants were amazing I can see the joy on ewe face ! Hope you both have a fantastic Christmas together ! And a good new year ! Thank you so much for all your effort in the videos they have been brilliant, looking forward to more ! Thank you 🙏
One of your best videos yet. You really captured the city & countryside in this one. Never know what you are going to see around the next bend in the road. Good drone shots of the white temple. Our condo is about 15 minutes from it, a great little ride for us. Lots more little back roads to discover around CM.
I think I'd rather see the elephants living like this, if treated well of course, then in a Zoo in Europe or anywhere in the world. But I understand your feeling about it, there is nothing natural about elephants taking selfies with people. They look so majestic wow And the drone footage was awesome as well, thank for showing me/us this part of our beautiful world
Yes we agree, these Elephants had far more room to roam here than in any zoo in Europe I have ever seen. They seemed to enjoy being around the people and can wander off any time. Perhaps it’s the food bringing them close or perhaps they enjoy the interaction as well as we do? Who knows but the keepers seem to love them as much as we do and Thai people are said to
Norrie, You are amazing!!! Thank you soo much. Your support literally makes it possible for a whole new video. The channel cannot exist without the support of it’s subscribers and we just don’t know how to thank you enough
Isn’t it the most beautiful experience, we are so glad we get to share these moments with you all, these are the days that make all the hard ships of travel so worth while
They seem to love them as much as we do here, the trainers all seem to enjoy the elephants company. What a job that must be to get to spend time with those animals outside in the sun each day
Okay, this is close to where we live. From about 3 minutes on, you are riding past CMU Aggie and into the National Park. We ride that road a lot, including the zigzag down to the main road. The temple on the hill with the drone shots, we rode up there while it was still being built. It is a great view. As you read this you are probably over the hills and far away, but i hope you had a nice time. We love riding the small country roads out there.
@@ontheroadadventure I'm afraid at this point in life I'm stuck on the Western Hemisphere and will have visit Thailand (& other places) with you guys....
UA-cam is just fantastic for this we are all now able to see parts of the world via others we would otherwise never have got to see, its wonderful we can all travel even from our living room if only for a short while
Great journey, well presented, I find all your films very informative and great to watch, I personally am a modern scooter rider, it was such a shame you had the old 125s, because if you had tried something like forza 125 or a 300ish size I think your experience of scooter travel would have been amazing rather than average experience, good luck future riding
Thanks les, for us the little scooters were tools that got the job done, we want to show that anyone can travel even on a tight budget, the adventure is just the same on a cheap bike as it is on a 20k GS 👍 Glad your enjoying the series 🎄🎄
Not sure about elephants making coffee but they get up to all kinds of antics at one attraction in Chiang mai, including football, dart throwing, and my personal favourite painting, and I mean painting something that looks good enough to then sell on to tourists, well worth a visit. Thai elephant conservation centre., Mae sa
My 2004 125 Honda Innova has a heal & toe gear shift , but the toe part is like a standard rubber coated shift so you can use your toe to flip up & down shift , without having to use the heel part . I can’t understand why Honda haven’t fitted them on the new Honda Supercub & CT models . Also you can use the foot shift , as a kind of clutch lever to ease in the gear shifts in a lot smoother , once you get the knack . There is a nut & slotted screw on the auto clutch side crank case cover , that’s the auto clutch adjuster . This often gets overlooked at service time , if not adjusted correctly , or drive chain not adjusted , it can make gear shifting harsh & not very pleasant . Enjoy the Elephants , they will remember you both , they never forget 👍
Can I ask if you already have a UK bike license to enable you to ride in Thailand, or do you need an intl license. Also is insurance from your home country required?...Great video.
Wow amazing time with the Elephants. And what a laugh with the Mahem with all the scooters all charging off all over the place. Like a race for people who have no sense of direction 😂. Complete Bonkers!!! Luvin it guys.
Brill content lalty. My cubs the same oppisite way yet sum in u.s are heal down to go up but now im used to it i prefer it. If your ever passing by derby you welcome tek mine out for a day or 2 mek a vid out it.
That scooter holds a lot of veggies bought from the market, I think, she is food-to-order vendor either from a shop or push cart. This reminds me of the scene 60+ years ago when I was young, seeing Indian-Thai cloth merchant using Vespa to transport cloths piled head high around Little India, located near Memorial Bridge. They don't use Vespa scooter anymore, but Honda Wave. BTW, domesticated elephant is gentle by nature, but it can become ferocious when in heat (a state or period of heightened sexual arousal and activity). Only the keeper can tame it but occasionally even the keeper suffers injuries during this time.
I am not an elephant expert. However, i do know that elephant use in logging has been illegal since 1989. Apparently, this led to a bit of a "what do we do with these elephants" crisis. However, laws were enacted and refuge centers etc opened. One of the biggest recent problems was the lack of tourists during lockdown. No tourists meant much less money for the animal sanctuaries. Fortunately tourists are returning and hopefully spending their cash. As unbelievable as seeing elephants is, there is nothing like trying to ride you bike and avoiding elephant dung in the road. If i could tell that to my teenage self, i would not have believed it.
Yes earlier on in the series we rode a very suspiciously quiet road covered in elephant dung! We later found out there were loads of wild elephants there and someone got killed by one on that road just the other day! Not the place to be riding through on bikes!
Those elephants 🐘 look like happy pets to me If the bulls arnt happy then they will do whatever they want and squish everything in their way I’ve never seen anyone so happy with a jacket potato 🥔
It would be great if you could create a custom google map link of where you’re riding. I know where this is, and saw the elephants as well, but not your previous videos.
Sadly we just don’t have time to do any extras like this whilst on tour full time and making four videos a week but if we can help with locations by all means do ask and we will do our best 👍🏻
At 16:00, How many horses do you own? How many horses live within 20 mikes of your home? When people stopped riding horses, the horses were killed because nobody wanted to feed them. Elephants have huge appetites and they are uncontrollable if they are untrained. The human demand for elephant territory for farming is why Europe has no elephants or dangerous animals like bears. Asians love elephants and do their best to care for them. Somebody has to pay, and a cup of coffee does not feed a herd of elephants. I admire the mahouts that devote their lives to an elephant and have the constant problem of feeding and caring for their elephant. Not to mention shovel duty.
We agree the people that love and care for these elephants have our upmost respect provided it is with kindness and respect for the animals, the Thai people really do seem to love the elephants
We had this discussion ourselves, unless you work there or have knowledge on these things it’s hard to tell if it’s truly ethical and about the elephants best interest or if it’s just a money making scheme
No, I guess there will always be wild elephants that need to fend for themselves but we can still all look out for them and do what’s best for the animals
I think we are conditioned that we should be concerned about the welfare and treatment of certain species of animals. I would say that all animals deserve to be respected, speciesim is how I think best explains our disconnect, when knowing that eating an animal involves that animal or being reared with sole intention of exploiting it in someway. I don't think I am speaking out of turn. We are now aware of the cruelty that goes on around us. However, I am enjoying watching your channel. I do fast forward when you are eating meat. I am an annoying vegan to some, especially my work colleagues. You will have a shock when you return to the UK. It's cold and mostly wet or cloudy. It was supposed to be sunny today according to the weather forecast. I really hope you continue to enjoy your time in Thailand 🇹🇭. I am still riding Tigger he was repaired after an accident involving an uninsured driver who ran away. It has cost me £3,000 , but I am out when time permits. Take care and I am sure you open minded enough for a discussion involving animal welfare and their personal rights without being offended by my comments or feed back you asked for. Thank and stay safe
We love to hear from you and to consider the opinion of others. Honestly if I had to prepare meat myself I’d be vegan too! As you say there’s a level of disconnect from real animals and buying in a supermarket. Uk will be a short sharp shock for us in sure but it has its positives too
I am in agreement with not riding the elephants. As when we visited Thailand, we also went to an elephant sanctuary where they were being rescued from abuse. We were told by the staff that the elephant had to be taught that they could throw dirt and mud on their back again when irritated but insects or to protect them from sunburn. They were forced not to do that because of carrying tourists. Our highlights was feeding them, walking them down to the river to wash them, then rubbing her down with clay and rising her off. Well worth getting wet in the river with the elephant just for the experience.
I find it hard to believe that these elephants are never getting whipped. Maybe I’m wrong but hard to believe even if they brand themselves as ethical place, by the end of the day it’s business for them
You guys... I hear you when it comes down to how far you as a modest human may go with (wild) animals. Where is the line in the sand you may not cross... I personally think you should not try to Master any animal in a bad way ever, but when those Elephants can leave and the local people do have respect for the free will of these elephants, and this is the way for the locals to feed those huge animals... that does sound not to bad, but... well this will always be an ethical question I'd say. Animals may never e exploited and may never be treated bad, but I do not really got this vibe from the footage you showed us here, although the local boy (young man) did grab the Elephant at its ear to guide the elephant to pose for a photo with that young lady with the white top... that felt a bit like forcing the Elephant to do something the animal did not volunteer to dot, and so he grabbed the basket with food...they purchased to give to the elephants in the first place. So yeah, when is this exploiting, and when is this a way to run a sanctuary to save the Elephants...? Or is it both...? At the same time...?
We rode through there in one of our earlier episodes with no idea about the wild elephants until we got there and discovered so much elephant poo! Very dangerous road to ride the bikes!
Elephants are chained to a stake by a foot at a young age and beaten so they will not move away from the stake. To control the riding the trainer uses a spike like tool that they jab them behind the ears. A sad way to control such a large animal

Yes they could wander off for miles but all choose to be where the people were
Really enjoy your vids! Hope to see you at the ABR festival this year!!
We hope to be there, it’s hard to us to commit to buying tickets so far off as we don’t know if we will be in the uk
I rekon Alan Davis will ask you to be speakers 👍
If we are asked to be involved of course we will be there 👍
One of your best videos yet. You really captured the city & countryside in this one. Never know what you are going to see around the next bend in the road. Good drone shots of the white temple. Our condo is about 15 minutes from it, a great little ride for us. Lots more little back roads to discover around CM.
Cheers Bill, Chiang mai is a great place, possibly our favourite area of Thailand so far
loved the elephants, just amazing, lets hope they are treated well. great video many thanks and merry xmas.
Thanks so much bud, have a good Christmas 🎄
I think I'd rather see the elephants living like this, if treated well of course, then in a Zoo in Europe or anywhere in the world. But I understand your feeling about it, there is nothing natural about elephants taking selfies with people. They look so majestic wow
And the drone footage was awesome as well, thank for showing me/us this part of our beautiful world
Yes we agree, these Elephants had far more room to roam here than in any zoo in Europe I have ever seen. They seemed to enjoy being around the people and can wander off any time. Perhaps it’s the food bringing them close or perhaps they enjoy the interaction as well as we do? Who knows but the keepers seem to love them as much as we do and Thai people are said to
Great Video ,and great drone video
Thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed it
Very good video, well done, I'll look out for more of them.
Hit that subscribe and bell icon bud and we will see you in the next one 👍
Thanks
Norrie, You are amazing!!! Thank you soo much. Your support literally makes it possible for a whole new video. The channel cannot exist without the support of it’s subscribers and we just don’t know how to thank you enough
That made my day too, Ewa! Wow!
Isn’t it the most beautiful experience, we are so glad we get to share these moments with you all, these are the days that make all the hard ships of travel so worth while
Wow! Absolutely loved this episode! Merry Christmas guys! 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas to you and your family bud
❤❤❤❤love you
Love you bye 👋
Thanks again, have a nice Christmas
Thanks John, have a great Christmas 🎄
very good seeing elepants thanks for the content this year merry christmas happy new year to you both
Thank you very much for being with us and supporting the channel
Lovely video, and the elephants do look quite happy ,i hope so anyway.
They seem to love them as much as we do here, the trainers all seem to enjoy the elephants company. What a job that must be to get to spend time with those animals outside in the sun each day
Great as usual 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Like us, it’s all about the small roads and villages, this is where we find the real experience of Thailand
Amazing views! And how lucky are you to see the elephants! 🐘
Yes, its days like this that make it all so worthwhile, a day we will never forget. Have you though of riding in thiland?
Great ride and beautiful views
Are the drone allowed in chaing mai ???
Thanks so much! Its a day we will not forget for some time! Yes there are many rules on drones in Thailand, id check them out before flying there
Really enjoyed that one !
Excellent! What a day! Have you thought of visiting Thailand yet?
@@ontheroadadventure I'm afraid at this point in life I'm stuck on the Western Hemisphere and will have visit Thailand (& other places) with you guys....
UA-cam is just fantastic for this we are all now able to see parts of the world via others we would otherwise never have got to see, its wonderful we can all travel even from our living room if only for a short while
Great vid again ❤
Glad you enjoyed 👍
What a day
Epic! This is why we love to travel, it’s the unexpected moments and experiences that create adventure!

That’s good to hear, we have to say we were observing the keepers and all seemed to be kind and loved the elephants
fab vid both drone fotage outstanding
Thanks so much, so beautiful things to film make it easy 😊
Not sure about elephants making coffee but they get up to all kinds of antics at one attraction in Chiang mai, including football, dart throwing, and my personal favourite painting, and I mean painting something that looks good enough to then sell on to tourists, well worth a visit. Thai elephant conservation centre., Mae sa
This made us laugh! 😆 Elephants darts 🎯
Thanks, yes we learnt to release the gear lever slowly for a much smoother change

great video guys as always, bet you dont want to come back to uk lol.
Im sure it will be lovely getting all warm and snuggly in jumpers again lol
Geddon you two xx
Thanks Chris 👌👍🏻
another great video guys , i think you will find you can train any wild animal with food , hope they did with the elephants
Ewa uses the same tactic to train me 😆
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣
epic seeing the elepants that close :)
They are just awesome
Bloody brilliant.
Thanks so much Bib, what a wonderful world we live in!
Can I ask if you already have a UK bike license to enable you to ride in Thailand, or do you need an intl license. Also is insurance from your home country required?...Great video.
Hi, yes you’ll need a full uk license, a IDP, and Travel insurance to cover riding a bike as a minimum
wow amazing
Thank you! Cheers! Great to have you with us on the channel, see you in the next one ☝️
Wow amazing time with the Elephants.
And what a laugh with the Mahem with all the scooters all charging off all over the place. Like a race for people who have no sense of direction 😂. Complete Bonkers!!! Luvin it guys.
Yep organised chaos here!
Brill content lalty. My cubs the same oppisite way yet sum in u.s are heal down to go up but now im used to it i prefer it. If your ever passing by derby you welcome tek mine out for a day or 2 mek a vid out it.
Thanks Adam much appreciated 👍🏻
there is a motorcycle travel cafe/pub in chaing mai called bikers corner you'd like the food
Thanks we will find it 👍🏻
That scooter holds a lot of veggies bought from the market, I think, she is food-to-order vendor either from a shop or push cart.
We saw a fella from the market take 3 huge rolls of carpet and himself on a scooter!
The elephants always good but the hut on the back of the pick up was more stylish lol
That thing was cool! Never a dull moment in thailand
Hi Guys
Keep on crocing 😎🎸
Hey Barry! Merry Croc'mas
Those elephants 🐘 look like happy pets to me If the bulls arnt happy then they will do whatever they want and squish everything in their way
I’ve never seen anyone so happy with a jacket potato 🥔
The humble jacket spud… what a treat that is after 6 weeks of noodles and rice! 😄
Go ride in Botswana, road to Kasane, you bound to come across wild Elephants crossing the road.
Who knows maybe we will get to ride there someday
สวัสดีครับ😊❤🎉
Hello! Thanks for joining us here
👌👌👌👏👏👏
Thanks for joining us bud
I'm with you Rich. I had no desire to ride an elephant. I gave the place a healthy donation instead.
That’s a far more useful thing to do. Well done bud
yep the elephant dilemma is tough. We try to only go to places that don't have rides etc and they are well treated but how do we really know.
We had this discussion ourselves, unless you work there or have knowledge on these things it’s hard to tell if it’s truly ethical and about the elephants best interest or if it’s just a money making scheme
@@ontheroadadventure yes exactly. Btw which temple is that? It looks amazing!
An elephant shelter relying on donations works for a small herd, but it doesn't support an elephant population the size of Thailand's.
No, I guess there will always be wild elephants that need to fend for themselves but we can still all look out for them and do what’s best for the animals
I’m not sure if it’s name, it was just outside Chiang mai
ถ้าเจอช้างป่าอย่าลงไปแบบนี้เด็ดขาด ถึงตาย😊
Good advice 👍👍
The spiders you can't see are the most dangerous. They hide in your shoes or under the rim of the toilet.🕸🕷😊
Out of sight, out of mind 👍👌
Bloody lucky you didn’t run into one of those Thai man eating spiders 😂😂
Not yet….
I think you’ll only ever see elephants on a trunk road. 😐
🤣
I’ve had to resist that dad joke most days here!!
Que Dad joke thread…

Well spotted ☝️
That sounds allot like this place we visited earlier in the series: ua-cam.com/video/tG2T0wa4HFE/v-deo.htmlsi=LcDJKarxiYFodw_g
That is an African Elephant in your thumbnail pic 😟😀
Well spotted 👍
They have bigger ears than Asean!@@ontheroadadventure
Much bigger overall I think
I notice on your cover this video the elephant is not in Thailand but It's African's elephants.4 sure.😁😁😁😁😁
Well spotted bud 👍
I find it hard to believe that these elephants are never getting whipped. Maybe I’m wrong but hard to believe even if they brand themselves as ethical place, by the end of the day it’s business for them
Lets hope that is not the case, Everything we saw seemed to be positive so we think the Thai people really do love the elephants
It’s a thought provoking thing isn’t it…
@@ontheroadadventure yes it is...
As long as we all take time to stop think and do what’s right then we can all prosper together with the animals
It beats taking your dog for a walk doesnt it?
You’d get more funny looks walking one of these in your local park!
We rode through there in one of our earlier episodes with no idea about the wild elephants until we got there and discovered so much elephant poo! Very dangerous road to ride the bikes!
@ontheroadadventure 🙋❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for being with us
@ontheroadadventure 🥰🙋
Elephants are chained to a stake by a foot at a young age and beaten so they will not move away from the stake. To control the riding the trainer uses a spike like tool that they jab them behind the ears. A sad way to control such a large animal
I truly hope that’s not what’s gone on here
@ontheroadadventure I think that is a sanctuary situation. And treated well as most Buddhist would do
That seems to be the case, we could see that the keeps seem to really love the interaction with the elephants
SLEEP EAT TRAVEL
And repeat 👍
