I grew up in that area in the 1950s the BSA factory was a target for the German bombers as was a site manfacturing guns and various weapons…… as a child we played in gaps between houses that we called “bomb sites” not realising at our young age rge significance of that…..i suspect that the story may go full circle and return to the BSA in Small Heath

When he dropped to his knees, he was relieved that she was okay and had survived. Rhaenyra didn't want help during the birth because of her mother's death. She wanted to get that baby out so she wouldn't suffer the same fate. This series/book is awesome... Matt Smith said that Daemon would give his life for Viserys and Rhaenyra. I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family. Daemon isn't a saint, but he's definitely not a villain. He does a lot of bad things, but he's a gray character, and loving his family and protecting them is one of his redeeming qualities and some writers are trying to take that away from him.

Im a conservative, and have heard a lot about lgbtq stuff being expressed in art, but i always use this as the perfect example of how good it can be when done correctly. If its not forced, if its woven beautifully into the story, and the way its revealed so beautifully, the way they attach the feelings of shame into Flint, I also got emotional when i first saw it because it truly made all those previous encounters click together masterfully A good story is a good story, and im always amazed this show doesnt have 10x the following it does. Its spectacular

I feel for Jack's frustration in this episode. Nassau has become a place for easy living and money is everywhere, so why put in a full days work at the fort. Maybe Flint wasn't just an egotistical tyrant way back in episode 7 chatting with Gates about sequestering a portions of the gold for the future of Nassau. Flint may be hyper driven and long-sighted but he's not often wrong.

I know Flint killed Gates here and we all love Gates but......... Flint did read the tactical situation perfectly and probably would have pulled off the fight with the Man of War. All he needed was for Gates and the crew to listen to him for those few seconds when they had the element of surprise on their side. Flint is single minded and unwavering in his vision for Nassau. Flint is the best written character on TV.

I love Flint and Vane in this episode. Gates + Flints conversation, Flint + Miranda's conversation, Vane's speech - Chefs kiss! Vane was willing to deal with with Albinus (the big slave master) right up until he said 'take these men and make me rich'. I think at that moment Vane realized he was about to basically become a slave master himself. He just couldn't stomach using those men like that. By his brand you know he was a slave, and he hates slavery. So he spoke up and fought to take the men as free men. Now he has a new crew!
