The characters in this show are a mix of real world pirates and the ones from the book Treasure Island. Ned Low was a real pirate from near the end of the golden age, but very little history was actually recorded of him beyond how blood thirsty and vicious he was.
I know editing this must be hard af, but I'm a bit surprised you guys are entirely skipping all the flashbacks. I don't think we've even seen Thomas at all in these reactions :D
The editing isn't too hard. Just very time consuming. I try to keep the actual show video/audio under 10 minutes to lower the risk of DMCA or getting the video claimed. That's what it seems like the larger channels are doing. BUT I will try to get more in for the future ones if we have a good reaction to them. :) - Tim
I love how the show sets up Ned Lowe so that you think he's the big bad and Vane just puts his head on a pike in episode 3. 😂 I love that, tho, because he was a character who had the potential of being tiresome really quick. Instead he comes in, shakes up some things, sends Eleanor back to Vane's side and moves the plot forward.
As for Vane using the fear, how much is that worth against the Urca Gold. These are pirates remember lol, and Flint is offering the opportunity for a lot of money. And don't forget, the last episode when Flint's Crew tried to take a ship without him. The man on the other ship asked "Are you Flint". His name is feared on the open seas.

One of my favourite lines in the entire show “ Mr. Holmes doesn’t work here anymore.” Yeah exactly, the whole fake chit chat while Vanes crew is literally taking over the entire ship. Bye bye Ned. I love the head staked in the sand with the note “ I angered Charles Vane.” Don't fuck with Captain Vane. Yep. The fear of what will happen if you cross Vane. Flint is terrified that if he brings the gold back, Vane will just steal all of it and hoard it in the fort. Nice to see Jack and Annes reputations restored. Good job Max for securing that transaction. Now she is always thinking about big picture and thinking well on her feet. Great episode and reaction guys!!!
Vane and Eleanor are the equivalent of two people born on the wrong side and trying to make it work. She's an Englishwoman and he's a criminal. I think Vane's words to Jack and Anne apply more to him and Eleanor, that their love will bring ruin to them both.

Fun fact they indeed did not use forks like we know. There were Meat skewers with two points but no forks, they indeed used knives to eat!

After reading that, I 100% agree. He was perfect to get Eleanor back to him. Which then opens up more conflict between Flint and Eleanor/Vain. - Tim
