trash...
My time..... 😅 😅 😅, I got 1 ot this b4...
we lost MS-DOS and Windows Me
wow. thats old. i wonder how it survived all these years
Wooowww …. Avevo il 350 mhz … 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMG! I bought a G6 333 from Gateway in the 90s. Paid a whopping 4 grand for it. I remember there was an optional 4gb hard drive and I remember saying to myself, "That's so much space. I'll never use it." 😂😂 Man, that's absolutely nothing now. Mine also had a TV tuner card. I remember how amazing I thought it was to watch TV on my computer. If you had to format the drive, you had to install the drivers in a specific sequence or it wouldnt work 😅
Hi Mike I got one of these and would like to upgrade it as I hate waste and if was a bit faster it will do for my needs to the grave but I'm not a PC geek so to speak but taking things apart and putting back together does not phase me. My question is I have the L655D-133, not sure if it was just a UK model but the cpu is AMD Athlon 111 P320 Dual-Core 2.10 GHz, can you recommend a suitable upgrade ? Thank you.
Nice! Just the classic dell right?
How would Starfield run on this lol
Hey there uncle Mike so i have an old Gateway (AK) LUX E 4300 pc laying around with a pentium 4 cpu clocked at 2.80GHz and i also have a core2duo e6550 cpu laying around so it is possible that i can use that in the pentium 4 Motherboard? Btw the Motherboard is an Intel D945GTP, D945PLM
Hello! Actually that should work as long as the BIOS is properly updated.
@@UncleMikeRetro I'll try that! Thanks uncle Mike!
This is my first time seeing a purple Motherboard
Purple means its super fast 😎
I had a Cinemaster 3.0 with an ATI Rage Pro in my Dell XPS R350, for DVD decoding. They were connected with a similar flat cable (Feature connector). Pentium 2 (and even P3) were not powerful enough to decompress MPEG2 smoothly
Great fond!!
Get your free TVs!
Mpeg decoder card with that GPU
Đây là card cho VCD hay DVD vậy bạn ?
Is this real but how?
oh, it is more than real! that used to be the normal thing
Nice find. I have that same video card! 😊
thanks! now to get around to using it a little 😎
Do you have a blower for a dell optiplex?
there are so many! which one?
you could not play dvds on a computer in that time so nvidia made a adaptor with a graphics card allowing you to do that .
i seem to remember that
THAT “ combo CARD “ was to “allow you to play DVD movies on your computer “and was dismissed when windvd and windows xp came out in 2001
probably cost a ton back then
Not a E-Waste because it has a Vista sticker, so it can be used in the modern day
well, only for Win10 and then only until next year 😞
as Microsoft said a long time ago, Windows 10 is the last version of Windows. so if thats no longer supported, then no Windows version is supported.
plus we still have Windows 10 Enterprice LTSC 2022 based on 21H2 with support untill 2032
That card look to me like an STB with an nVidia Riva 128, not a bad retro card Mike! (Someone must have put that small heatsink)
ah thanks! i wondered about the heatsink
That’s My First Time Seeing You Find A Very Interesting Thing… For Me… It Looks Like It’s A High End Video Card In Old Days 😮 Or Maybe Something Else 🤔
i'll try harder to find more interesting stuff!
@@UncleMikeRetro alright… i hope you’ll finding some interesting stuff that makes you interested on it… :O good luck on finding it :)
Early DVD decoder! These were for high end video formats in the mid 90s
I second that, Early Pentiums II could barely playback MPEGII from DVDs and most video cards didn't have acceleration built in (I think the ATI Rage 128 was one of the first)
I done good! 😎
Collectors would be more than happy to buy this
bring them on!
Beautiful find! Lots of sweet stuff there.
darn right!
My first computer 😢
really! what are the odds?
The Intel 740 is very good for Direct3D 6 games (Soyo was a very good brand). The capacitors on the motherboard look super good, the motherboard looks like it's from Intel because it has those blue capacitors. In Slot 1 you can update the bios and put a pentium III
i thought this was a good catch!
I’ve got a box of this old stuff. I don’t know what to do with it but I did look up a couple of the cards and saw on eBay they sell for £150/£200 each!?
sometimes they can. you've got to make sure they work then ship them and eBay takes their cut. not sure the profit margin
That's not ewaste, thats treasure!
yes! treasure is synonymous for e-waste! (sometimes)
@@UncleMikeRetro to me, even the most random and obscure or weak/useless piece of tech is still treasure in a way, because i know nobody else will be keeping one in working condition. And someone thought it would be a good idea to make a production run of it, so..
Seeking for e waste? I have a ton of Lenovo products, but even for junk they still fail.
always seeking. Lenovo, not sure the audience for that
Can you provide me a i7 4800mq processor? I am your fan from india😊
thanks for being a fan 😎 those are rare in the wild. if I ever find one, i'll let you know
@@UncleMikeRetro thnq so much
can an 80mm m.2 nvme fit, or just a 60mm, also someone said the chips have to be on one side, most nvme come with chips on one side?
the one i used is a 80mm. that was the only option for the mounting screw
Ei tive um ! Pentium II 300 ❤
Nice!
Just to think back in the day when I had an Intel Pentium 4 processor in my machine I thought I was a badass. 😂
ha! you probably were! at least for a few months
I once got a socket 7 pc from facebook marketplace for free! almost all of the capacitors were dead, and it wasn't cleaned, it took me atleast 5 hours to clean the gunk out, so check the caps on motherboards!
Asus!
love me some ASUS
I got my dads old one 😂😂
the original recycling
Please let me give it a home ;-;
its bits still exist but the tower is done for
@@UncleMikeRetro you ever ship/sell any of these units?
That's a fucking gpu it's going in the graphics card slot the cpu is in frame
This is the best dell laptop ever I have it. It doesn't have a battery but it works just fine.
heck yes! I assume WinXP for you?
Yes thats what your thinkin @@UncleMikeRetro

like finding lost scrolls!
Just a few questions, cuz I wanna get one: -It has a noisy fan? -How many hours the battery lasts, lets say, watching series or UA-cam. -It comes with Ethernet adapter, mouse o case? -And the last one: this Asus i3 1215u, 16 GB RAM and 512 SSD for 309$. It's a good price? Thanks.
whisper quiet fan, but I have NOT done a battery rundown. I have to say its probably only 4-5 hours. no ethernet adapter, no mouse/case, that is a decent price for 16 GB and 512 GB. don't even THINK about gaming on it
