I would say this will be a kick butt system when done.

I'll admit this system surprised me uncle mike. I usually gloss over the extremely low-end hardware like this. When I'm hunting around for older computers to play with. I Think I'll be looking for some lower end hardware now. Also, great video as always Uncle Mike keep it up!

Thank you, Eric and Happy New Year! Yeah, sometimes these one-offs make me lore happy!

I think my wife had this APU (or very similar) in an HP laptop years ago 🤔
I remember being quite impressed with it at first but by the time I sold it back in 2017, I was glad to see it go.

I still think that would fit in a standard ATX desktop, did you save the backplate?

@@UncleMikeRetro This reminds me what I did with the Beige tower I had with the counting LEDs for the HD.... I hot rodded it with an FM2 APU A10-6700. Will get it staged up for a video soon.

ive been using sdd drives on anything i can, on old systems ive been buying inland sdd at the microcenter as they are pretty cheap. Around 120 gb for 15-20 usually. Very nice for the booting speed.
Just me but if i had a system id probably put linux on it :-)

I get that. I am just SO not a linux guy of any sort. This is going to have Win7 (maybe Vista if the win7 drivers work) and call it a day. I don't mind the laptop HDD speed too much as I know this system will be a bit slow no matter what.
