Jan, are you planning to use the planters as Naked Roots intend with the wet/dry cycles? What color did you get?

I ordered white. I’m going to start with a rooted prop and use the pots as directed even though I’m a little nervous about it😬

That's definitely the plan Jackie! So far, so good. I'm gonna give a quick update in a couple weeks and a more thorough one later on this year.

You are not alone Canissia! I had to cut "This is not a self-watering planter" several times from the video because that was my very first impression as well. But truthfully, all my self watering setups don't allow the soil to sit in the water. This pot allows the bottom of the inner pot to submerge in the water, so it's perfect for bottom watering. I really think I"m gonna love this pot. I think my Dieffenbachia will love it even more. I can't wait to report back in a couple weeks.

I love that for you Dawn. I think the Brasil are beautiful plants. Now with my Jade, I'm finding success with a smaller one that I have propagated to get fuller. I've killed several in my lifetime, but this one is doing well so far. In fact, her cuttings this year are thriving. But I get how they can steer you wrong. I had a variegated one that broke my heart into a million pieces. I'll get another one though

You are right Mona,....and I love lacunosa. That mint's leaf actually grows a smidge bigger than the other lucanosa, but I absolutely LOVE the coloring on it...and I think I hear it flowers easily too. Yeah, she's on my wishlist now.

Okay...good to know. So yeah, I'll be looking for growth for sure now, especially the roots. One thing I can say is it rooted quickly, so that's a good cue for me. Hairy plants tend to be tricky for me...well I might have to retract that now that I know that my carnosas are hairy...I'm still tripping off that.

Yeah, I don't know why the "hoyas don't like water" sentiment is being spread about Hoyas. Maybe some of them don't, but all the ones I have really like water more than I imagined. When I put that sigillatus under the lights, those roots took off. I've really gotta stop trying to root them in medium lit area and just put them under the lights, they do so much better. I'm gonna put a tag on that cup to ensure I keep it moist. Thanks for the reminder.

Man, if they decide to recall all the pothos back to the jungle, I'm going with them. Absolutely one of my top three FAVORITIST plants. They have my heart....there's a fight between the hawaiian and the neon. If I can get my hand on that variegated neon, we might have a battle of the pothos. I'm with you, love them.

Easy for the win. I think the hard part is finding what's easy for you, that's the real tea. Now outside is another ballgame, but I'm really looking forward to my outside herbs-in-a-pot garden. Baby steps though
