I wonder if you used the quest pro controllers would you have better results… I know they have cameras on the controllers and their own chip

For many reasons left getting into this great hobby until late in life, so still would like some improvements in the flight model and also the data that is exported to drive motion and pressure harness systems that many people have.

I use the quest 3 with a 3DOF motion rig sitting inside a lit black out booth with three stationary 50 inch screens. Use a WIT for motion cancellation. Always tracks perfectly...?

I don't see why you can't just weld on mounts for the base stations. I've always wondered that wouldn't work.

Also one more thing, the pimax 8kx is currently the best headset that has base stations. Better clarity and a 170 degress of FOV. Definitly can recommend ;)

Also there is a game called IL 2 sturmovik, you dont need motion compensation for it, as you cant move much in the cockpit. You could try that game with your other headsets

Interesting so you believe Vr headsets that need base stations work better with vr motion compensation than newer headsets ? And why do you believe your screen had something to do with the tracking ? I for example dont have a screen only VR, do you think motion compensation will work fine for my quest 3 ?

Great review buddy. P3 owner myself as well, mostly iRacing and only VR here though. Once you got one of these, what ever sim genre you do, everything becomes completely lifeless without the rig switched on.

Im going to get this panel and then 3d print the panels to make it backlit. Also i think i can add real gauges with simple audrino card and map it.

Did you use spad to Make your egt appear on your ac voltages panel? It’s great. I mapped it to the ac extra switch position to the right of the test position

Hello from Greece, really looking forward to use your tip but along the way im doing something wrong. Am i supposed to make the custom camera first on a default plane and then transfer the values to the cfg of the addon plane? I want to apply this to the fenix A320 and the fbw Neo. Can you give me some insight please?

it would be nice to allow a "startup mode" option where the game fluff can be sripped from the GUI and just the SIM and necessary parts are loaded and available... anything to help load times and make it a bit more streamlined.. i suppose we all start into our typical flight..or whatever were into at the time.. but to drop the fat and go lean would be nice.. cuz it seems no matter how much horsepower i stuff in the boxes, it's still slow.. my box is stoudt.. but FS grinds her down good..

I really need to learn more about spad.next. Seems a bit overwhelming to me. Im a hands on hardware kind of guy, so software just seems to stumble me. Im using multiple Stream Decks for most of my push button functions (utilizing their software)have one FIP for chrono (spad), and a toggle switch panel (mobiflight), then thrustmaster airbus and boeing (MSFS). So I would like to move the switch panel and controller onto spad, but not sure exactly how to go about doing this. Ive purchased spad, but it just seems complicated

Absolutely LOVE my Brunner yoke and pedals. I'm not crazy about the yoke handle. It feels a little tiny, and I don't like the way the buttons and trim feel. I'm probably going to make my own yoke handle and change it out.

My experience with RSG's TBM switch panel set was not as good as yours. Mine was poorly assembled, and every switch was lose and needed to be tightened. The gear lever didn't travel properly and I had to modify it just to get it to travel. Also, the crash bar wasn't properly assembled and didn't work, also requiring modification. As for it's use, it works fine (now) when it does work. It almost never is recognized (in Xplane 11) at startup, requiring unplugging and plugging back in and usually reloading the command map as well. (And this is a clean install of Xplane without any plugins.) Oh, and did I mention that the command map had errors that had to be edited? The whole thing was also miniaturized way more than it needed to be. I've already ordered 1:1 switch panel replicas from another manufacturer and will be tossing this garbage. I will never buy RSG equipment again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Hay, thanks for this, but I think you did the slider tests completely wrong. You started with everything at max, then turned down each one at a time. If two or three sliders at max was using up most resources, then turning down another would show very little effect. You should have turned everything down at the start, then increase each one one at a time to see what effect each had independently. Then try turn all of them to about a third, then adjust each one at a time to see the effect with some resources being used. Having them all at max handicapped your test. Please do it again. Chris, I take it this video was done before the WT GNS530 upgrade? I purchased this mod yesterday, and it comes with a mod to put it back to the PMS 530/430. Not sure if it's best to leave it as is with the WT upgrades, or to install the PMS mod. Would be interested if you would try this out with the WT changes and see how it differs from this video flight which is excellent by the way. This is from the manual. Effective v1.0.7, the GPS has been defaulted to the Working TItle implementation of the GNS 530/430. This means that some aspects of the AP will no longer work correctly, as well as some of the MD-41s functions. This is all unfortunately out of the devs control, as the WT code of the GPS is dictating how, when, and what the sims AP events do, as well as ignoring cfg file settings. - WPT and MSG lights on the MD-41 no longer work. - GPS/APR button will no longer activate a loaded GPS approach. - The KAP140s UP/DN buttons will no longer affect the APs reference altitude while in ALT mode, in either the 20 FT single press increments/decrements, nor allowing a 500 FPM climb/descent while holding down those buttons, and subsequent new reference altitude upon release of said buttons. - The APs independent BARO no longer has any effect, and will incorrectly react to the panels baro setting. However, an optional patch has been included to revert back to the PMS 530/430 for those that wish to. Just unzip (file located in the wbsim-aircraft-c172sp-classic\PMS530_Patch folder) and put it into your community folder. You will also need to have downloaded and installed the PMS 530 mod (v1.0.54 as of this writing) from github.com/pimarc/pms50-gns530/releases as this will no longer be included with the plane.
