Harmonica player is Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie. Any of their tunes are awesome and will make you want to dance. Just saw Wet Willie in Macon on the 15th of November. EPIC show!

We really took it for granted back in the early 70s. Friday & Saturday nights...2 live music shows. (Free on Network tv) Midnight Special & In Concert. Some of it was "hit & miss", but so much of it was awesome.

BTO is another of the great bands who played my high school way back in the days before the fame. Randy Bachman had recently quit The Guess Who, probably the top Canadian band in the charts. Back then, they went by the name of Brave Belt and the lead singer was the former lead singer for the original Guess Who when they exploded onto the charts with their version of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates' Shakin' All Over in 1965. I highly recommend you check out that song, too.

hahaha..I loved seeing how blown away you are by these ladies..happens to me with each new release they make....saw them live in Vancouver Canada last year and am beyond stoked to be seeing them this April on their bloom tour...they are spectacular live, if you get a chance don't miss it...

Remembering seeing this song performed live, complete with rear projections. Seemed like the whole arena was rumbling when Columbia lifted off. Too bad they only did this one live for that tour.

The lyrics of this song still mean as much to me today (at 55) as it did when I was an angsty, nerdy teenager in the early 80s. Wonderful stuff.

I saw them on this tour!

When you get a shot of them playing the foot pedals as well as their guitars it reminds you just how well rehearsed they always were for a tour. I remember Neil saying that he always rehearsed on his own for a month BEFORE the band rehearsals. They were as goofy as you could be but always were the ultimate professionals when it came to their shows. x

Lerxst is the ultimate prankster of the band. I would suggest , if you haven't already, pick up and read Geddy's book 'My Effin Life' Delicious insights into Geddy and his journey, also many, many insights into the dynamics between this fantastic trio of musicians

I admit that when the album came out this was one of my least favorites on it, it being very tough for me to grasp/embrace it originally. But then seeing them live on this tour and playing it was just so incredible. It's such a damn powerful song and it's really grown on me. And the writing and lyrics!! The band just amazed over and over for 40+ years

If you haven't ready Geddy's book, please do so. Very enlightening , entertaining and very well written. Chapter 3 deals with the theme of this song. Neil wrote the song after talking to Geddy's mom about her experience. She really did think that there was no one else out there alive .

Snakes and Arrows came out just as I was launching into a very messy divorce that dragged into a 10 year long custody battle. Snakes and Arrows literally saved my life multiple times as when I found myself spiralling into dark places I'd put this album on and it brought me off the ledge. This album means the world to me.
