Linda is one of the all time greats. And when your backing band goes on to form The Eagles…that says a lot.
Her backup band at first was Don Henley and Glenn Fry of the Eagles 💯💯💯 She is from Arizona ar❤❤ I saw her in concert when she did an album in Spanish 💯💯 She and Dolly Parton and Emily Lou Harris had a group called the trio so good❤❤❤ The very first record I ever bought for myself was a 45 of Blue Bayou of hers ❤❤RED CONGRATS ON 37 K I AM SO PROUD OF YOU AND HONORED TO BE A SUBSCRIBER YOU ROCK❤❤❤YOU ARE LOVED ALOT 💯💯 #redheadedneighbor #bestreactor #redsarmy #beautifulfuncountrygirl #heartofgoldwithmetalinhersoul #bestbadjokes #37K #lindaronstadt #whenwillibeloved #70smusic
Her dad owned Ronstadt Hardware in Tucson, AZ (I grew up there in the 70s and have been to Ronstadt with my dad as a kid. Shout out to the "Old Pueblo"!
Linda has an incredibly large catalog with many many hits. You will hear even more songs of hers that you'll recognize.
First heard her in 1969 with her first hit with a group called The Stone Ponies outstanding voice and my goto comparison for over 50 years 45 year career biggest selling female artist of the 70s and 80s sang in 6 different genres always challenging herself modern folk, hard rock, pop ballads. 1940s big band music, light opera Gilbert and Sullivan and Mariachi. From Arizona, Mexican father American mother. these musicians are one's she put together when the The Stone Ponies broke up and she still had a recording contract. They later formed into a band after asking her called The Eagles and became a major group in their own right couldn't speak highly enough of her. One of the nicest and most popular people in the industry. Late 70s now health not good but still with us. My favourite has always been Long Long Time live concert or record as some tv versions are abbreviated.
Greetings from Canada. Linda is the answer to an age- old question. Can a man hold a crush for 50 years? Umm... yup! Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Well great Red ❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite female singers, ever since I first heard and saw her sing on TV in the early '80's. She was my favorite female singer from 1981 - 1993. And my second favorite from 1993 - 2023. That says a lot about how great of a singer Linda Ronstadt was. She's still with us, but she hasn't been able to sing for many years. Which is such a shame. 😞🙁
Willie Nelson said of young Linda there are two types of men in the world those who have a crush on her and the other ones who never heard of her
❤❤❤❤❤
Wait until you find out all she sang from operetta to Mexican music. She's the most incredible singer you will ever hear
My first concert was Linda at Tanglewood in Massachusetts in 1974 fourth row seats.
I'm not sure where she was born but her and "The Eagles" helped define the Southern California rock scene. they were well acquainted with country, soul and rock. They knew each other and two of the Eagles were part of her backing band. i think they lived in Laurel Canyon in the 70's and met there.
Once coined America's Sweetheart, now and American Treasure.
I appreciate her more now than when I was growing up (more into harder rock at that time), but I'm all for more of her on your channel. Oddly enough, the Country Music Hall of Fame has a section on her.
Linda grew up in Tuscon, AZ.
sang in the 1-2 bars in town,
with brothers I believe.
Musicians passing through
suggested she go to L.A.
and get into the music biz.
'Blue Bayou'
'You're no good'
Thanks for sharing.
I loved this song,,It was when I was 16 when it came out, and all the Boys loved her..I was one of them.
Check out 'Desperado', live in Atlanta 1977...
Send her the link as she ask
Red , I Suggest You check out the version from Linda's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame , which due to her Parkinsons disease , Linda couldn't attend , the Ladies who performed several songs but finished with "When Will I Be Loved" were Carrie Underwood , Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow , Bonnie Raitt & Emmylou Harris 😳
I was in the same boat there. Knew of Linda Ronstadt, honestly couldn't think of a song I knew and then it started and oh I know this. 😂 Loved the bassline there.
Today you will be loved 😂😂. Always a pleasure watching. Haven’t heard this in Yonks!
In this same concert Linda pours every single ounce of emotional heart break into one of my favorite English version songs of hers. I been following Linda since the late 60's She, along with Melanie, Joan Baez, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, were the queens of rock n roll and country rock back then. All in there own unique styles had such singing voices like no other. The song I'm referring to is
" Down So Low"
Hope you get to react to it someday. For me hearing her sing is Spanish though is the ultimate in listening to her sing. Here's the link...

By the way a movie about Linda is currently in production with Selena Gomez playing her. Should be out next year
Iam a fan, not a super fan, what I mean by that is, I have not heard everything that she has sung and I don't listen to her every day; but I have heard some of her songs and everything I have heard her sing I love, she has a phenomenal singing voice, I even love listening to her sing in Spanish, I smile brightly 🌞
Try hf's cover!
I think the video would have been better if you had cranked the audio up a bit more.
AWESOME!! If you ever do her song; YOU'RE NO GOOD,
Please,,, P L E A S E do the official studio version!!! The SONIC BLISS they created was never matched. I don't mean vocally as she is A(freaking)mazing Live as you now know. Another awesome Live song is BLUE BAYOU. Linda Ronstadt is of my Top 5 favorite female singers with;

Bass guitar stands out
This song has great energy ....even a bit of country flare to it.
The songs Love Is A Rose/ Blue Bayou /and Your No Good come to mind
In your case… you already are! ❤
This played all the time on the radio when I was a young adult. I always liked Linda's music. I found out recently about her early connection to the Eagles. Interesting. I was vaguely aware of her work with the Stone Ponies.
For something different, check out Lolli Wren's new music including "All Mine" and her latest "In a Wave". If you like her music, you could build a list starting with "Hurt" (a cover of Trent Resner's song), "I Can't Decide", and "Build a Sea". I don't think you'll be disappointed. And offline, you should watch her reaction to The Warning in her More Fairy Voice Mother channel -- pretty awesome, actually.
Nice Red. You might want to check out Suite: Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby, Stills and Nash
Nice one but you're missing a half-naked ren for this?❤😂
