I've been saying this for months... Ale brings the funk to their music - just enough Jazz, R&B and Funk to add the spicy flover to the music. Pau brings the Metal, Punk, Alt to the drums and Dany just Rocks out...
This was the last song on the 2017 University of Nevada Ted X talk that the band performed. If you haven't seen that, it's a treat to see Dany (17), Pau (15), and Ale (12) show their enthusiasm and early skills ❤❤❤!
At your request, I looked in your TW playlist and noticed a missed opportunity. "Mayday in the Making" is a 6 part video of Dany, Pau and Ale telling the story of how the "Mayday" EP was produced in the early days of the pandemic. Each vid is about 5 minutes, so you could probably split them into two or three separate reactions, depending on how often you decide to pause and comment. I think you'll earn even more respect and appreciation for how hard these ladies work, and how determined they are to maintain their artistic integrity. I hope you'll dive in! Keep rocking Red!!
Watching that series is one of the reasons I got hooked on this band! David Bendeth is one of my favorite producers. Seeing them work with him on Mayday/Error was confirmational for me.
Or some of the aftermovies/livestreams. The 3 japan aftermovie, or the 2023 VMA is great fun :). The aftermovies only fault is that they get shorter and shorter...
I know girls/women who say this is the best break up song they know. First they break up and at the end they even have a jamming party. Aside from that, I think the song shows the capability these women have to take different genres of music and merge them into their own "The Warning" - genre. "Survive" is Broadway, disco, Funk, Rock and party party. It´s such a catharsis for the soul!
Mine too. They do not have many, truth be told. I wish they extended outros on some of their songs for live performances. It worked very well.for Automatic Sun, which was just begging for it.
The ladies always seem to be having a blast playing this song live and it's contagious AF. The jam at the end is epic they are all killing it love Ale's outro one of my favs. Any song they share lead vocals makes it awesome DPA are fantastic performers their stage presence continues to level up every year. Great reaction thank you.
That's only about the 100th time I've seen that . And you had the same reaction I did . But I did replay the last 20 seconds about 10 times. Great reaction Red. 🧡
In the premier of "Survive" at the 2017 TEDx performance when Pau was 15, she splintered a drum stick while drumming. She never missed a beat while replacing the stick. They were just as emphatically fierce, all three of them, as they were here.
"Survive" was the first song I heard by The Warning. I fell quickly down the rabbit hole. They use so many different genres of rock to create their meaningful music.
Wait wait wait wait WAIT!!!! Heartfelt and genuine reactions, that make me smile and feel good, The Warning addict, ginger AND Star Trek fangirl……Lady, now move to my homecountry (Switzerland) an we‘re ON 😆😆😆 These young ladies are setting the world on fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Loved it Red...anything by the Warning is top shelf. Hope you noticed the Ladies synchronized choreography....Ale and Pau with the synchronized hair flips (twice) and also the synchronized guitar swings (twice) with Ale and Dany....their stage presence and performance skills are best of the best. If you missed it, watch again....the little things matter.
Great reaction as always, you're one of those persons that feel like a friend you sit with to enjoy a common interest. You really need to look at their MTV EMA's appereance in the UK where they played Automatic Sun, as Pau said, they brough the heat, quite literally. Cheers! 🤘🤘
When they wrote this song in 2016/2017 they were asked who this was about. Pau's answer: They read a lot and they consume a lot of media as any Gen Z teen does; they make up stories. So no heartbreak in real life. The TEDx talk version of this song hooked many fans including me.
A good day starts in the morning! They are really something different, they are so young that they leave me thinking that they could become BIG in the history of ROCK! When at 20 you already have 10 years of career, it means that at 35 years old (in full maturity) you could have 25 years of career... I don't know if you know what I mean!!!
There’s a couple of videos (from a Witches Fest and a show in Philadelphia) where, during the instrumental at the end Dany goes out into the crowd while she’s playing. At the Philly show Dany was actually really sick (so bad that they cancelled the next two shows!). I believe Ale sang lead on a couple of songs and she definitely helped out on Survive whilst Pau took the lead for the only encore song Evolve. Worth watching to see how much Dany gave, despite it being obvious how much it was taking out of her.
Very cool song! 🤩👍 I _did_ like it also for not being as hard-out as many of their others! 🙂 Justin Panariello had recently upset some TW fans after reacting to them and saying they were a Pop band with a Rock sound, and while I don't agree a 100% with him, _this_ song definitely is exactly that and could've easily also been a Disco one, just like you said 😀 New TW fan here, and I'd caught that bug about a week ago, when I finally caved and gave them a closer listen (via your TW playlist* 😉) after they'd been popping up all the time for me on YT for quoite a whoile 😄 (* = By the way, I'm impressed with how meticulous you've been with arranging all your playlists! 😍👍)
Always nice to see your reactions - I'm always in a good mood after that. You like the warning and then I dare you to take a trip down memory lane to a cover they made when Ale was 9 and The Warning performed locally in Monterey and among other things played Lady Gaga's song Born this way - they were 13, 11 and 9 years old at that time 26.10.2013 - search for: Born This Way - Lady Gaga Cover - The Warning
I loved your reaction, this is really a great song, at the level of the ones you mentioned not less in any way, you can revisit their songs any time you feel like it you will find new perspectives and meanings. 🤟
Don't you love tat they pull in so many elements from other genres of music and weave them all together. Pau says they even throw in some k-pop elements but you may not even recognize them as such.
You’ve caught the nod to KISS with the synchronized guitar moves on “that you CARE” and Ale’s Gene Simmons head thrash on “if you’re GONE”…or am I completely in left field…
It is a great song and so much from a woman's point of view 💯💯💯💯 I don't get how people make promises to the ones we say we love if you don't mean it don't say and if you do mean it don't break the promise ever ❤❤❤❤ Red love your reactions I aways see the world in another light because of you #redheadedneighbor #bestreactor #redsarmy #beautifulfuncountrygirl #heartofgoldwithmetalinhersoul #bestbadjokes #37K #thewarning #thewarningreaction #femalerock #mexicanrock #sisters #pau #danny #ale
You really need to check out Narcisista Live at Teatro Metropolitan. Pau does lead vocals on stage with a fill-in substitute drummer. She sings the song in Spanish but that doesn't detract from her stage preformance. The presentation is over-the-top fantastiic.
Would be great if you react to their storytelling concert at Agua Fria in Monterrey on May 26, 2018. I think I have suggested this long time back when you started your journey with The Warning. This incredibly informative show hasn't been reacted to by anyone so far. In between songs the girls talked about their journey till then with a Q&A in the end. The songs were from their XXI Century Blood, & Escape the Mind. The Warning Army UA-cam channel has this show as a playlist with the songs concatenated chronologically. Turn on CC for English subtitles. The 1st clip is of them practicing for the show.
Some videos to consider: "Z" live session and the performance from the Pepsi Center or the Teatro Metropolitan; "Animosity" live session and the animated official music video featuring Webtoon & I'm the Grim Reaper; "Everlong" Foo Figher cover from Liceo concert (Ale 10, Pau 13, Dany 15) a couple of months after the release of "Escape the Mind" EP and a couple of months prior to them attending the Berklee College of Music summer session in 2015; "Resistance" Muse cover' (Ale 9, Pau 12, Dany 14); "Crazy Train" cover @ Liceo concert; "We're Not Gonna Take It" Twisted Sister cover (Ale 9, Pau 12, Dany 14), Pau sings lead
This has one of the best outros in rock ever, but if you haven't seen the tedx version you haven't been Warned, as an fyi this song is about the music industry and not a person iirc One of the great things about their music is how things can be interpreted, consumed, and enjoyed!
I'm 59 and seen all those "Chic Bands" come and go. Some were quite good, but they were always a product of the Music Industry. NOT these girls! This is different. They are the real fricken deal.
Enjoyed your reaction but I think you had your Stable Volume on (go to the little gear thingy at the top of the screen>Additional Settings>Stable Volume>disable) which tend to reduce your playback volume relative to your voice. 👍😎
My only wish for this song was that the final part was longer with more indtrumental, that's all. I often feel,.even in my favorite The Warning sings, they end too soon. On somecsings the abrupt end works perfectly, like Disciple, while Automatic Sun and Survive work better eith extended endings. All this in live performances, of course.
Please check Missioned Souls Family Band, Separate Ways, Living on a prayer, Don’t Stop Believing, Hysteria, The Kill, members are 15, 14, 12 And 10 amazing family
4:00...and 6:22....Pau and Ale synchronized hair flip. Also 6:05 and 6:12...Ale and Dany synchronized swaying guitars. And you reacted to this song 7 months ago in the 2017 Tedx 3/song video. So....yeah this is a second reaction, but thats okay. Every video hits differently.
This ladies bring it regardless if it’s a huge or small crowd. 100% all the time. Stupid joke** What does a man have if he has 2 guitars in one hand and 3 guitars in the other hand? Big hands!
Audio level is really too low on this reaction. The original song is a lot louder. This is Pauerful. The whole performance is on par with, to WAY better than the 2017 TEDx. That 2017 show was hard to top, for sheer shock value. Survive is a friendship breakup song, from the accounts I've heard. Pau was supposedly upset by a friend who wanted her at a party, instead of going to practice with her sisters. She told Pau the band would never amount to anything, or words to that effect... Pau, being the firecracker she is, wrote her a big FU song! Don't mess with Paulina or she'll write a song about you. Compare the message of *Survive* with the message of their recent cover of Alanis Morissette's *You Oughta Know.* This one is positive and forward thinking. YOK is psychotic by comparison. (I like 'em both!)
This was the last song on the 2017 University of Nevada Ted X talk that the band performed. If you haven't seen that, it's a treat to see Dany (17), Pau (15), and Ale (12) show their enthusiasm and early skills ❤❤❤!
That ending with Alé gets me every single time. She’s a freakin rock goddess.
Truth
Talented musicians, 3 piece with a full sound getting so much of a Rush vibe from them
Great anthem type song. And they’re having such a great time performing it. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
Just love the synchronized hair flips (Ale and Pau) and guitar swings!
Agreed, and I also love the confident way Ale throws her arms back at the end
I've been saying this for months... Ale brings the funk to their music - just enough Jazz, R&B and Funk to add the spicy flover to the music. Pau brings the Metal, Punk, Alt to the drums and Dany just Rocks out...

Add Dani Day songs for me. Gives her a totally different dimension.

Listening to this, it is easy to see why Pau said You Oughta Know was a favourite "break up song" for her.
My favorite outro to their songs

The Teatro version from 2022 is even better in terms of the camera work and the noticeable energy of the three girls.
That's only about the 100th time I've seen that . And you had the same reaction I did . But I did replay the last 20 seconds about 10 times.

One of my favorite songs by them. Especially the outro!
This song, this band, this show, is simply amazing in every way!!🤘⚠🤘

It was the best show I have seen this century.

@@2twenty There's one reactor that calls Ale "Little Gene" because she does some of those moves.
I hear some Miami Sound Machine in there with Pau's drumming also sounding a bit like Sheila E. of Prince's band in the 1990s.

I love your reactions! I have supported them from their first album

I don't think the point of view has a gender here. My son broke up with a lady in a situation where he could have sung the same song.
