Yep, some of the hiking takes 45 minutes- an hour to get to. It would provide jobs for people if companies run by people with disabilities had a fleet of vehicles and public transit and they were paid well. Just an idea.

@@ThatkidwithCP 45 minutes?? It takes us 5-15 to go on a hike. Parkway goes through town- hop on it anywhere and go hiking pretty much anywhere. Mountain to sea trail goes through the backs of many neighborhoods.

@livinginashevillenc I think it's one of those things people don't necessarily notice when visiting, but after moving here, they realize it's part of their daily life. Years ago, we could avoid heavy traffic by taking different routes, but with all the growth, all those roads are backed up as well. Not to mention, they are narrow and have many sharp curves . I'm not trying to rant, but traffic definitely is an issue.

@@stanleyhape8427 yep. Some roads been doomed from day one LOL. Mills Gap- been bad for at least over a decade. And there’s really no alternative or way to make it better… And sweeten creek rd expansion is on hold…

@@livinginashevillenc that is your choice. We lived in Asheville from 2010-2015 and had a 2 car garage to protect our cars. We are currently building a new house in West Asheville and a garage has always been a top priority whether it be protection from theft or the elements. And we have 2 KIA’s so we are not protecting extravagance.

@@RonaBarry for sure. I never had a choice to park in a garage, that’s all. I would, of course, prefer a garage. New house is exciting. How big is your new garage? If we ever build, we’ll probably build a 4 car garage 😅.
