Actually there is an obscure dialect in isiXhosa that is called "Ukuhlonipha". In "Ukuhlonipha" a cow, which would be "inkomo" in regular isiXhosa is called "inombe". Ukuhlonipha, as far as I can recall was used by wives, and especially when they address their inlaws. My grandmother used to use a lot of "izihlonipho". For example, one word I can still remember is "intshani" which is a replacement for "inyama" meaning meat. But, as i sat, this is an obsure way of talking, I even doubt it was widespread among isiXhosa speakers.

Kirundi and Kinyarwanda are like two identical twins! like if you speak Kinyarwanda you will absolutely be able to understand a person speaking Kirundi like it's only the accent that makes a different.

In Kikuyu we say rugendo to mean a journey
