Bought a 7 year old Accord for $5000. How did I do it? Traveled back in time to 2007. Used car prices are ridiculous. I still have the car and recently had to sink $1500 into it. There's no longer any cheap cars. Anything which can run/drive/pass inspection is now 5K+ and anything sorta nice and less than 10 years old is is well over 10K.

if you shoot for popularity you're gonna come up short every time the only thing that matters is functionality That means can you fix the vehicle by yourself without depending on somebody else And then also means can you get the parts for the vehicle is it a vehicle that is widely distributed it going to be cheap to buy the parts and cheap to do the labor These are the things that people are successful are looking at buying a vehicle there are successful people who find expensive vehicles but it doesn't last you want something that's going to last you have to invest some time doing some research first and you're probably going to have to sacrifice your pride

My attitude has been buy a new car and then drive it for 10+ years. The latest cars are making me rethink that strategy. My last purchase was a 2011 Toyota FJ. Paid $28K new out the door. The only downside to buying an old car is you kind of need more than one so you can drive one and work on one. You need the space, time, and tools as well. These days, for the single youngster, skip the car. Buy an electric bike.

Buy a 15yo car that runs well for $2000 instead. Since then, I've only put in $200 for brakes and $300 for a new AC compressor. Still driving it 10 years later. That's $2500 over 10 years or $250/year!

I developed 3 immediate steps whenever I used to get alcohol cravings: 1) tell yourself the craving WILL subside. Usually doesn’t take longer than an hour 2) as you mentioned, immediately do SOMETHING. Can be anything. Go for a walk, go to gym, play a video game, read… hell… even indulge in a less worse habit, like go eat junk food. As long as you’re not drinking. 3) Understand that the longer you abstain from drinking.m, the easier it will become over time. It can take months, a year, or even multiple years… but you WILL get to a point where alcohol stops controlling your mind and you CAN simply live without it.

Guy spitting besides the fact that: Most people don't make 4k/mo in one job, most condos around here are still over 200k and apartments are 1700$/mo, health insurance is 6-700/mo, car insurance 1200$/6 mo, "women don't want us" fundamentallly untrue cope, stock market doesn't crash is not true, goinh into debt is not always bad, side hustle not a good idea is not true for everyone, gov directly taking your retirement is ridiculous but they do money printing and take tax on capital gains that are now typically under inflation levels. Still, you have to succeed with what you can get and build up wealth with whatever income you can get. If you can't succeed, it's on you to change that.

work is not supposed to be fun or easy. the fact that people even consider that it should be is mind-blowing to me. i've always been W2 but highly skilled field with high income. taxed to the gills. I don't hate my life, but I have had plenty of shitty years. now that i am down to working part time, i'm quite happy with it and have found a good balance. after over 20 years of working long hours, weekends and holidays, i'm finally able to relax and count my blessings. it's a great feeling, and nice to have time to explore hobbies and passions and spend time with family. one of the biggest ways the system screws people is via health care. by linking affordable health care to W2 employment, it sort of forces most people to work full time until they are medicare age. they make it difficult and expensive to get health insurance otherwise.

I am looking for a nice lincoln town car. I don't like the newer cars. There's too much going on on the inside.

I'm 59, divorced, remarried, kids grown and gone. No pension, 401k turned out to be next to worthless, so i figured I'm going to have to work until i die. My job sucks, literally since I clean grease traps. No week is ever the same. A worthless college diploma, a CDL, i even mow the strip club next door for cash. Nevermind...life sucks and it's hard to see it otherwise.
