Great review. I'm 130km into my pair now, I also get the upper digging into the top of my foot. It seems to be the edge of the plastic/rubber overlay that digs in for me. It's an odd one, seems to happen in the first 20-30 minutes of running and then disappears only to return on the next run. The laces are a pain to keep tight, they seem to slacken off after an hour or so for me. Apart from those two little issues I can't fault the shoes at all.

Looks like a handy massage gun, thanks for reviewing. The temperature option is nice. Not sure about their marketing (Bob and Brad?)😆

Breathable getting water out are very important. Can't let anything distract you from the run. It looks like a very comfortable sneaker. You always make the best choices when it comes to running gear.

I can imagine how difficult it is to run on the beach. At least on the pavement you still get the nice scenery. Barcelona definitely seems like a great place to visit. Glad you got to get out and enjoy it.

If you have any over pronation issues, avoid these like the plague. Way too soft, no support in the inner arch area.

I was interested to hear about the chews ‘melting’ rather than having to be chewed! Like you I’ve used the Bloks but they do need chewing! Then some others can annoyingly stick to the teeth 😕. Might have to give them a go. I’ve used Active Root products before but it seems they’ve branched out a bit more now. Oh and loved seeing the wading… answered my question over on Strava …definitely quite deep, good job you didn’t slip on a rock! 😳

Thanks, Martin, for the Active Root review. Will check them out, although I still prefer natural foods especially after the Spring Energy controversy. That scenery and trail, including the river crossing, are awesome!

Has anyone felt that the shoe rolls inwards or is the shoe better for people with higher arches.

I have these shoes . Great trial shoes . Have run through sand mud gravel rock. Everything. Nice and comfortable sponge.

I loved the Altra Olympus 4 which has a nice arch support but no one mentions the arch support in the Topo other than the insole is thin?
