Season 34 [09-30-2024 - 10-31-2024] Ranked grind to get to Master rank. Some live duels towards the end of the video. It's not as polished looking so I apologize for that. What is the purpose of harpie feather storm in deck?

    • @densai89
      @densai89 День тому

      If you go first and they prevent you from full combo (shifter, droll, etc.) or Maxx C you, Xyz summon Kikinagashi Fucho or Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale then set Harpie’s Feather Storm or set it from deck with Triple Tactics Thrust. Those two are Wind Winged-Beasts and only require two Drytron names to make. They’re originally meant for easier access to Zeus, but Thrust now helps you virtually skip opponent’s turn with Feather Storm.

      @@elainachi Right now Drytron is not that strong. Waiting for new cards to be released, especially Nu2. Drytron is mainly a 2 card combo deck but Nu2 will allow it to become 1 card full combo. That's why I max out all the smaller Drytrons so I don't brick often. It does take a while to get used to playing the deck. A lot of players prefer to play board breakers in Drytron over hand traps (just something to keep in mind) and if they do play hand traps, it's in the side deck. For this build Amorphactor Pain isn't necessary, mostly helps against Tenpai since it skips their Main Phase 1 and even if they synchro in Battle Phase, Amorphactor negates all Extra deck monsters except Links. Super Poly is alright but it does eat into the Extra Deck if you really need the space you can cut it out. You can play 2 Called By. For some reason it's the rarest card to open so I said screw it, I'll just have it at 1. Evenly Matched was more to deal with backrow decks or massive board decks that don't have Spell/Trap negates like Yubel. Vanity's Ruler is always my preferred normal summon if I go first. If they Maxx C, they usually only draw 2 and you floodgate them with this. Diviner is better for going 2nd or if you only have access to 1 Drytron name, she helps make Beatrice and allow you to still combo. Diviner is also a negate magnet so if you don't need her, use her for bait and they'll usually always handtrap her. For some reason, unlike Called By where I almost never open it, Master Duel always makes me hard open Vanity's Ruler or Meteonis (Ritual Spell). You prefer to search these but this game wants to make it difficult on purpose, haha. If you're going to play the deck in real life, I suggest you look into other videos for an updated deck profile since Nu2 changes everything about how this deck works. People even remove Natasha and keep only 1 Benten. It's crazy how Nu2 changes people's strategies and philosophy on the deck.

    i think bricktron full power now no popular deck can stop if no have hand trap in hand, can combo 2 card with 7 negate (5 Herald, 1 Hope, 1 Voiceless), 1 destroy. light card cannot be target and (1 d.d crow). Despite new support but cannot comeback. stupid deck scared almost all handtrap; deck brick because ritual, too tight use handtrap.

      @@nhacopeninganimekhongbaao9402 Every deck has a weaknesses. I don’t care if it’s a weaker deck. Some players dedicate themselves to one deck and become extremely good at it. I like watching players who are like this. Playing a meta deck or most popular decks most people will already know how to counter. If you play an older deck some people will not know how to beat them. Rituals are my favorite summoning mechanic in the game and Drytron is my favorite deck. I mainly just upload on here so I can have a place to rewatch my duels. If anyone enjoys it, I’m happy. If they don’t like it, it wasn’t my intention so it doesn’t offend me anyway. There were some formats that were difficult to play through like when Bystials were introduced but that does not stop me from playing this deck. Voiceless Voice is the strongest Ritual deck right now, but I feel the matchup is 50%. Sometimes I can defeat them, sometimes they can defeat me too but I don’t feel like I’m actually weaker than they are. I think their strength is in their protection abilities and playing around Maxx C with minimal summons. I know they play many hand traps but that can be a weakness too because hand traps can be bricks sometimes. This is why I play many Drytron names to power through hand traps and interruptions and it does work sometimes.

    Hmm, what do u think about this deck comparing with drytron herald deck?

    • @densai89
      @densai89 Місяць тому

      I love the artwork on them but I hate playing them. Heralds are good at stopping hand traps and if they negate your board with something like Dark Ruler No More or Forbidden Droplet. I don't like playing them because sometimes they're bricks in your hand. You need another Fairy in hand but sometimes you want to Normal Summon Diviner or tribute Benten to start the combo and now you're in a tough spot. Drytrons tribute for cost and if it gets negated, you're down in card advantage already and that's why Benten is so essential for Drytrons because they replace themselves. So for Heralds to discard your Fairies too, I think it leans a little heavy on paying costs for my liking. Heralds build also rely more on Diviner, so it can be weaker if they drop Maxx C on you. I like to play Vanity's for my normal summon and you can give opponent 2 draws minimum off Maxx C and floodgate them so it's better than Diviner in those situations. Once Perfection/Ultimateness is on field, then I feel it's easier to pay the cost for the negate. Orange, Purple and Green Light discard along with another Fairy in hand (2 cards) for 1 negate feels a bit steep sometimes. Until Nu2 comes out, Drytron remains a 2 card combo deck so you need to see as many different names as possible or you end up bricking. I watched lithium2300's video on OCG Drytrons back at full power vs other decks and they play Maxx C, Ash and the Heralds and they just brick like half their games. Hand traps are nice but they literally don't progress your board. This is why 1 card full combo decks with like 9+ starters can afford to play 15 hand traps but Drytron can't. So you go with board breakers or full gas to power through their interruptions. I pulled a royal Perfection from packs when trying to pull royal Arc Light or Diviner, but I can't bring myself to play it, lol. It can be nice to throw in 1 Orange/Green Light if you play Vanity's because sometimes you tribute 2 Bentens on field to summon Vanity's so you search 1 Fairy and 1 Orange/Green Light to protect Vanity's. Usually spell cards or Imperm are what an opponent will use to out Vanity's. That's why in the past Drytron players would summon Mirage Lights with 600 ATK can negate spell/trap to protect Vanity's while Linkuriboh blocks an attack on Mirage Lights. A lot of Drytron players have moved away from the Herald build but don't think that's a bad thing to play that deck. You can tell players and Konami have PTSD from Ultimateness negate everything. That's why they restricted Nu2 to only allow you to ritual Machine monsters. It's just a preference of mine to not play Herald from when I first started touching Drytrons.

    Decided to take the time to really learn Drytron so I'll be referencing this video for a long while, the combos here are amazing and made me fully realize how absolutely absurd Natasha is, if I may ask, do you plan on sticking with this style of Drytron or are you going to go with the new Nu2 and embrace the Machine Ritual lock? Natasha seems to be a powerful wincon and I'm interested in knowing if the Nu2 consistency boost and D.A.D would be worth it.

    • @densai89
      @densai89 4 місяці тому

      Thank you for enjoying my video and I’m glad to have inspired more players. I’m not sure how OCG players are handling Drytron, but TCG players seem to cut Natasha out entirely or put her in side deck. Her strength is in turn 2 and beyond. Players think she’s a brick when you go first so they rather go with more consistency/all gas. Nu2 is a huge boost for us as a starter. I think if you went first and already used Nu2, by turn 3, you should have enough cards to not have to rely on Nu2 too much and therefore can go into other rituals besides machines. Keep in mind Nu2 only restricts you if you used its effects. There are ways to summon it, yet not use its effects and still combo or ritual non-machines. Nu2 doesn’t have the restriction that the other smaller Drytrons do where it MUST be summoned by a Drytron effect. So if you Nova, One For One, Monster Reborn, etc. to summon it just to use it as an extra body and don’t plan to use any of its effects, you’re not restricted. This debate of cutting Natasha or not reminds me of how in TCG, some decks play 3 Pot of Prosperity and 1 Delta or 1 Prosperity and 3 Delta. They conflict but players keep both cards in main deck. Finally, for my opinion, I do not plan to cut Natasha unless I encounter a stronger reason in the future to do so. This is Master Duel, best of 1 and you have to make your deck as well rounded as possible. I rarely use Diviner to send N’tss so I cut her out of a couple duels and I did regret it sometimes. I rather have Natasha be a brick in hand going first than to regret and needing her in another game. When you win with her it feels so satisfying and feels like you’re cheating at the same time. You win games you should not have won. Just like in these replays, there are games where I have no cards on field against a full board and win because of Natasha.

      @@densai89 Thank you so much for the in depth reply! While I'm still learning the deck and want to play it in paper, I personally don't want to let Natasha go, so I think I'll do what you suggested and leave her in as a sneaky turn 3 wincon. Thank you again, this deck is amazingly fun with gorgeous monsters so I'll be on it for a long time.

      @@povertyprince5263 If you’re still learning, be sure to check out LoganJYA on UA-cam. He is the face of Drytrons and shows off multiple deck profiles, combo tutorials and sometimes features other players’ Drytron deck profiles. He also runs a Facebook group “Drytron Duelists” where many people discuss deck profiles, tech options, asking for advice, etc. He also sometimes features a player named Jordi Wang who is one of the most consistent high performing Drytron players out there. Jordi’s deck profiles are easy to understand because he explains his choices very well and he comes up with pretty wild decks (floodgate Drytrons with x3 There Can Only Be One and x3 Deck Lockdown). They’re older videos but I go rewatch those videos once in a while. The most difficult part of playing the deck is understanding the restriction that you cannot Special monsters that “could” be normal summoned/set. You’re so used to special summoning whatever you want, whenever you want. But don’t let that discourage you. It forces a player to innovate. In real life, I’m strictly a collector so I admire your courage to learn the deck in paper. Hope you enjoy learning and playing the deck!

    I don’t have enough forbidden, what card can I replace it?

    • @densai89
      @densai89 5 місяців тому

      @@phuc2331 Forbidden Chalice is a very cheap card at only Rare but only works on one monster. Infinite Impermanence is a better version of Forbidden Chalice when you can afford it. Dark Ruler No More is a decent replacement for Forbidden Droplet and probably the next best replacement. However, you cannot kill the opponent the same turn, that’s why Forbidden Droplet is superior. With Droplet, you can send many Drytrons from your hand to graveyard to negate and as long as you have 1 Drytron or Ritual in hand, usually you can full combo still. For most other decks it can be costly to activate Droplet, but it can be very free for Drytrons since they activate from graveyard. I think this is why it’s difficult to replace Droplet if you don’t have one because Droplet works so well with Drytrons. One advantage with Dark Ruler No More is it works under Shifter and Kashtira Arise-Heart, Dark Law, etc, cards that make you banish instead of going to graveyard because those cards turn off Forbidden Droplet. Droplet can only be activated if you can send cards to Graveyard, but banishing them instead means the cost cannot be paid so the card cannot be activated. If you go into the Shop > Bundle Deals, you can buy a Forbidden Droplet bundle for 750 gems. You’ll have to craft the other two. I DO NOT recommend you pulling them from the Darklords Selection Pack: Deceitful Wings of Darkness. It is very costly and not guaranteed you will get one. Ultimate Slayer is expensive as an Ultra rare but is a way to get rid of their Extra Deck monsters. Normally, Drytron plays all Extra Deck type of monsters (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Links) so Ultimate Slayer works better in Drytron than most other decks. Super Polymerization. Instead of negating their monsters, send two of them for a fusion summon of Garura, Wings of Resonant Life or Mudragon of the Swamp. Droplet and Dark Ruler are helpful, but you have to understand that Fire decks are strong because they have many ways to play around these negates. People say these decks have “many layers of interaction” (Princess in graveyard, Fire Kings in hand, Divine Temple to special a back row monster like I:P, etc.). This means one card is not enough to break their board and you have to rely on other cards and skill to overcome Fire decks.

      I only use music from Master Duel. All music is found within solo mode or while you are dueling. Master Duel doesn’t give real titles to their songs so they have very generic names like “keycard 3” or “climax 5”. At least that’s what they are named since I use a program to data mine the files from the game. Plenty of playlists on UA-cam of the full soundtrack. Just search Master Duel Soundtrack.

    Como ves Drytron cuando llegue el Alfa Draconis y el nuevo soporte a MD?

    • @densai89
      @densai89 5 місяців тому

      Perdóname, no hablo español. Yo uso una aplicación de traducción. Estoy entusiasmado con el nuevo soporte. Alpha Draconis es enorme a 5000 cuando 4000 suele ser más que suficiente. Pero Konami probablemente quiere hacerlo más justo haciendo que los tributos sean más pronunciados usando 3 Drytrons. Los múltiples negros serán hechos de Drytrons más interactivos en el turno del oponente. Por lo general, los propios en sí mismos no interactúan mucho en el turno del oponente, por lo que tenemos que confiar más en otras cartas como Heraldo de la Maximidad o compuertas como Regente de la Vanidad, Amorfactor Pena, El Dracoseñor de la Imaginación y en TCG del Caos Negro MAX. Creo que esta es la razón principal por la cual Konami restringió a Nu2 a máquina ritual monstruos. Nu2 será un apoyo increíble. Finalmente podemos 1 tarjeta combinada completa. No tiene una restricción como otros Drytrons que DEBEN ser invocados especiales por un efecto Drytron. Podemos jugar otras cartas como Uno por Uno y muchas otras. Sé que algunos jugadores eliminan el Ciber Ángel Natasha de su mazo o la ponen en su mazo lateral porque Nu2 te encierra en rituales de la máquina. También Natasha es más para comenzar el segundo en el duelo.

    Have you tried "Where Arf Thou?" with Droll or D.D. Crow? Gives you either a drytron name or a handtrap. You can also normal summon them and make fafnir or just keep them on hand as a threat. I would mix nova, where arf thou, emergency and jack in the hand for even more consistency, because all of them are once per turn. Sometimes that 2 nova in hand hurt.

    • @densai89
      @densai89 5 місяців тому

      I’ve tried Where Arf Thou before in the past. It’s alright. Agree that having too many copies of one card ends up bricking you because the Field spell is also another Nova. But you have to already have a level 1 on board first. In a sense it’s kind of a win more for combo extenders. I don’t like to play hand traps that much so I usually opt for all gas. I used to hate stopping my opponent with hand traps and then can’t even combo on my turn because I don’t have two Drytrons, embarrassing. Jack-In-The-Hand is an ok card too, especially if you play Kurikara. Your opponent will almost always grab that card so you basically get to choose which Drytron to add.

    • @densai89
      @densai89 7 місяців тому

      Magician of Black Chaos MAX, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, Palladium Oracle Mana, Shiba-Warrior Taro and many other cards were drawn by Kazuki Takahashi. I don’t know what Konami’s standing on this but it’s rumored that they don’t release these cards because they don’t have permission from the artist or out of respect to not rerelease it. These cards came out way before Kazuki Takahashi passed away and Master Duel was around before he passed away too. Konami could release alternate artworks to bypass this but maybe it can be considered disrespectful so Konami won’t. It’s a digital version for Master Duel and not like the physical cards so it’s kind of odd that they still won’t release them and most likely never will. I’m also bummed about it not being released in Master Duel.

    What do you think are the pros and cons of usibg the lyrilisc rank 1 vs using fucho?

    • @densai89
      @densai89 7 місяців тому

      Fucho and Lyrilusc help you do one of two things, go into Zeus to wipe field or help you survive a turn because you don’t want to deal with Maxx C, Droll, Shifter, etc. The choice is really up to the player to decide what is best. I would say in “most” cases Lyrilusc is better or more than enough but in those more specific cases you wish you had Fucho to save your ass. Kikinagashi Fucho If opponent has a way to threaten a potential Zeus play like Arise-Heart with 3 materials to banish your card or Big Welcome in graveyard to bounce your card, Lyrilusc is not an option in this scenario. If opponent has one monster in defense position, you don’t need to detach Fucho’s materials when attacking and then overlay Zeus directly on top of it to guarantee a board wipe if they don’t have any negates. You skipping overlaying Downerd Magician in these scenarios. Yes, she enables double wipes with Zeus but because she’s a choke point that prevents you from summoning Zeus if they get rid of her. Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale There is a way to OTK with her using White Relic of Dogmatika to deal over 8,000 damage by direct attacks. She does guarantee you survive a turn because her effect is lingering to take no battle damage for an entire turn even if opponent gets rid of her. Fucho can still be outed by Underworld Goddess for example and they can OTK you the same turn. She makes it easier to make 4+ material Zeus since she can just attack directly, unlike Fucho that must detach to survive if all opponent’s monsters are in attack position. She allows more than 2 monsters to be used as materials unlike Fucho that is limited to 2. Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Robin This is an overlooked monster that Drytron can summon as well. Just like other Lyrilusc Xyz monsters, she can be made with more than 2 materials, allowing for multiple non-once per turn disruptions. I think because the Extra Deck is pretty tight depending on your strategy, people probably wouldn’t want to use extra deck space for her.

    Should I copy your deck or do you have any good changes

    • @densai89
      @densai89 8 місяців тому

      Feel free to copy what you like. Lots of different ways to play the deck. Many ways to lock out opponent from playing the game like flood gates and turn skipping. Drytron may not be the strongest and sometimes we end our turn due to one Ash Blossom, but it’s my favorite deck! Drytron needs at least 2 cards to combo off and many decks now are one card full combo so keep in mind you will be at a disadvantage. Snake Eyes is the most popular deck right now but I feel Drytron has a decent chance to play through all their interruptions. Some people like to add Maxx C and Ash Blossom and cut Gamma and Delta to 1 copy but I like more consistency so I don’t play hand traps besides Sauravis to protect Vanity’s Ruler. Orange Light is a searchable hand trap that some players like to add, especially in the Herald version of the deck, the most popular way to play Drytron. It doesn’t help me enough so I don’t play it, but it is decent when you complete your combos and add it to hand as a finishing touch. Veiler, D. D. Crow and Droll are also level 1 hand traps that if you need a body to make Mu Beta you have the option to normal summon them. Kurikara Divincarnate, Lava Golem and Volcanic Queen are your Kaijus. I play Super Poly as a non-targeting board breaker but it’s not very common for Drytron decks to play this card. You can play Dark Ruler No More instead of Droplet but Droplet helps you OTK and usually the Drytron discards from hand are free since they play from GY anyway. Karma Cannon and Feather Storm are decent search targets for Thrust if you need to survive another turn due to opponent’s Shifter, Maxx C, etc. Feather Storm works with Kikinagashi Fucho or Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale. You don’t need Amorphactor Pain that much in this meta since a lot of Link decks running around.

    • @densai89
      @densai89 8 місяців тому

      I think that would be a nice option to play Spright Elf. I think if I don’t play Super Poly I can have more room for it. I like to have some going 2nd options and Super Poly does help sometimes as a non-targeting removal, get rid of monsters before they activate their quick effects due to your player priority, and the discard doesn’t hurt Drytrons because we play from GY too.
