Good luck with putting together your space at home! I think it's good that you did look into the studios, it's like you looked before you leapt and realised there were some more stepping stones you could take to close the distance a little further instead. Or wandering a forest and coming across an unexpected path that is still going in the right direction but that you hadn't known was there before. it'll be fun to see how your journey progresses, good luck and happy making!

I really relate to what you say about social media. I’ve been off it for awhile but I still watch UA-cam. It’s interesting what you say about posting for validation because sometimes I feel like I also watch UA-cam for validation. Seeing what other people do and how they spend their day makes me feel better(?) about how I spend my time. Especially more realistic/normal routines. I don’t know, I think social media has kind of taught us to seek a lot of external validation even in very minor things… or maybe its just me :) anyway, I just thought I would share! I really like your vlogs, this one especially

I know of a neurosurgeon who switches everything off for one day each week. It was eye-opening that he experienced withdrawal symptoms during the first few weeks.

You've brought up an interesting point, that whatever we post here is basically a snapshot of the end result of our process, which largely begins internally, out of sight. I'm tempted to re-watch this and count up the times you say you're either "...excited" or "...so excited" about the stuff you're thinking about creating. One of these days, they'll invent a "thought-cam" where if you have an idea you want to preview to someone (or a memory you want to share with someone) you can just switch on a nearby monitor and patch your thought-cam to it. I could use one of those too, for a lot of different contexts. Your new, slower video pace is great, just the thing to help us all decompress after a hectic week!

Lately I was thinking about getting away from social media as well because I feel like it's consuming all my time and I want to do so many things that at the end of the day I realized I was just on the phone. Then this video came along and it was like a signal to do it and now I'm really motivated, so thank u, you were the push I needed 💗💗

I always love seeing people enjoy journaling. Morning Pages is where you write three pages everyday I recommend trying it and seeing whether you like that number or reduce it later. It has helped me center myself every day and get ready for the creative ideas to flow. You could read the book about morning pages or just watch other creators who do it well here on youtube. Keep up the great work!

Too bad the "happy clouds" were gone by the time you got outside, but the clear blue sky above you was nice. I watched an art vlogger last night named "Summer Thyme", who incorporates "dance breaks" into her art practice, mid-painting. I was like, "Hmm, maybe I'll give that a try," but who knows if I actually will? I can totally see the value in blowing off a bit of steam and loosening up between sessions of prolonged focused sitting. I admire your new content creation stance, not letting the "algorithm" govern what you film, or how you go about your day.

The video is not boring , it is very honest and open. Letting go more of social media really helps with following or own path but sometimes it can be so tempting to watch, to consume instead of producing , I'll try to keep that in mind myself 😊 Have a lovely week ahead.

Also I congratulate you on your ability to find ways to manage your anxiety levels in public settings where others on masse, congregate. I know this battle only too well myself and it is a very common trait with the majority of artist and creatives, so you need not feel alone in these matters even though it feels like it when anxious situations become somewhat overwhelming and the need to escape to a quiet place takes a hold. But hey, chin up girl, you did it by facing the situation and visiting London for a day. Very brave of you and the fact you got back safe is a real bonus, girl. Loved the music at the museum re the guy singing about the very things you mentioned about yourself in this vlog. Looking forward to part two my friend.
