This the first of the small builds which will accompany the Tyne Dock Station re-build. A small unknown hut which was located and the west end of the station at ground level. but unfortunately we can not do the same here due to east bound track being so close to the location where the hut should be. so hopefully there is enough room for it on the platform. so enjoy this video and how this littl...

The station is starting to look complete. It is looking great.
Thank you Duncan. i just can not wait for it to be completed. Just wishing my life away again. cheer's for commenting. all the best Tony.
I expect the electricians are still counting the number of peas, they have been given with their meat pies and chips, at the Saracens Head. Would they be able to send Mrs Simms along to Tyne Dock Statin instead to help with the guttering and the painting? No doubt Mr Grounsel, the man from the Council will round soon, and be using his tape measure to check the measurements of the girders for alignment and be taking out his log conversion tables to do some calculations. Hopefully, the hullabaloo with the Vicker and the mix-up with Joe Grundie's ferrets won't affect Mr Grounsels professional judgement. I am inclined to think Sid The Station Master, would be concerned about any risk of manhandling, and appreciate all of Mr Easton's hard work.
Hello Mr Librarian. thank you for your very amusing comment. thanks again my friend. stay safe. Tony.
Great to see a loco fix work so well, Tyne dock, looking like another master piece, all the best Tony.
Glad you enjoyed the video Ian. thanks again for commenting, take care my friend. Tony.
Hello Tony! Very nice work with the station canopy supports and signs 👍👍👍 All the best my friend
Thank you! Cheers Deano. The building has become very delicate now. with all these supports hanging on the sides. thank for your kind comments as always they are very much appreciated. cheer's Tony.
In your intro it looked like some rogue builders had been in at Little Haven? Is something going on over there Tony? Station building, a very grand looking Gents (again), and that elusive hut! Nice work on those canopy supports and the signs too.
Good morning Chazzy. all those bits and bobs over at Little Haven are only there temporarily until the main build starts. the gents will stay. but the small station building will go. another project for 2025. stay safe all the best Tony.
Dear Tony, yes indeed, further moving around the station building will now be even more hazardous. Definitely can imagine you would avoid any unnecessary moving around until the platform canopies are in place. Already the glueing of the canopy supports on both sides must have been a challenge in itself. Beautiful how you added the pillars for the stairwell section. Think it adds that level of detail which appropriately represents the way the Tyne Dock station canopy was supported. Love the way you placed the pillars which leaves the ample room for visual depth, on the look through around the station stairwell. Curious for the way you will decide to detail the part of the wall at around the gutter line. Might be good to make a decision when you’re gonna fit the canopies. That will then show the remaining brick work, or just too little. Nevertheless, I do understand the considerations you shared on this particular piece of the structure. On the sweepstake, gotta watch the vids again to find the other oil lamp hut. I’ll just do another North Eastern binge watch. Cheerio
Hello Vincent. it was challenging fitting the columns around the other side, especially as i had to fit head in that small gap to see how the columns aligned with the steel work. its all part of the fun. its done now. we can now concentrate doing the canopy and hopefully press on. we are so close to finishing, that i can almost smell the Christmas turkey. thanks again for commenting, stay safe. all the best Tony.
Tony, the station is developing beautifully, cheers.
Thank you David. hopefully i can make a start on the canopy this weekend. cheerio for now Tony.
Another great video Tony i love seeing you make every thing you have so much patience keep up the great work
Thank you Michael. all these little stages of the build, will ultimately end up with a reasonable good station. but we shall see. as always sometimes i can be very critical of my own work. stay safe my friend, and thank you for commenting. cheer's Tony.
Canopy supports ooking great in situ. Very good tip on te station signs. Cheers, Arthur
Thank you Arthur. the planning is finally coming together at long last. and so far the supports and columns seem to be matching in heights. cheerio for now Tony.
Love the Detail on those Thompson Teaks - This is an Epic Build, and the Quality is Just Another Level 🙌🏻🏆
Thank you, your too kind sir....many thanks Tony.
Morning Tony, the canopy supports are looking fantastic, as you add bits you can start to see what a large structure this is. I think it's a good idea not to move it around any more than necessary. Also love the work on the station signs as you say it's easy to do but effective, I fully agree with the others who say what good steady hands you have, what always amazes me is your imagination on how to build these structures. The attention to detail is astonishing. All good with us, things have settled down to a routine with my sister in law, Anne is very supportive of her and has been taking her a to treatment twice a week. I'll enter your competition later, it's very generous of you Tony I need to do a bit of thinking. 😅😅 you both take care, speak soon Eddy and Anne xxxx
Hello Eddy. many thanks for commenting, as i always look forward to reading them. as you probably noticed all the heights of the supports were worked out long before the station was started. and only now it is coming to light as the station comes closer to completion. thanks again for commenting. and don't forget to enter the competition. stay safe best regards Tony & Laura.
Did i also see Lord Al's Lavy at 0.41 seconds in this video?.
Well spotted Martin. you did see The Lords Privvy. the flag was at full mast. so he must have been home.....lol. cheer's Tony.
Good luck to everyone who has entered the competition.....all the best Tony
Coming together brilliantly, you forget how small these details actually are because the camera being zoomed in does throw you off. Only when you attempt it yourself you think crikey this is small. Stay safe Tony have a great weekend.
That's is true, they i guess zooming in shows the detail, but not the scale. its a hard one to get right when filming. oh these are very small little details. i am just glad that did not choose N gauge. many thanks again for commenting. all the best Tony.
Hi Tony another good video I think my old eyes are to far gone to be able to do half the things you do!!! so I will probably stick to Metcalfs for now but if you ever fancy a six month holiday rent free and all meals supplied and free beer for about six months in Thailand I am your man you would have to build a few stations!!! Dont know what mrs T would think about that though All the best mate I surprised my self the other day tough I made some hoists for the warehouse kit to unload a wagon and get it up to the fourth floor I used your wire turning method for the pulleys.
James. i tell you what sounds like a lovely idea. but six months i dont think i could get the time of work for that long. two weeks would be the maximum. i think Mrs T would love the rip out to Thailand. but thank you for the other. Well there you go a little inspiration goes a long way. especially when you build something for yourself. i bet you are very proud of your scratch build. i get feeling only when a project is completed. take care my friend. Cheerio Tony.
Another great chapter of the Tyne Dock Station has concluded. Love the columns and canopy supports. Also enjoyed your station sign work. Our best to you and Laura. Bill and Janet from California
Hello Bill & Janet welcome back. thank you. slowly but surely every step brings closer to the completion of this station. as i am already looking for to the next build. which I am hoping it wont take so long. stays safe for a very chilly cold Uk. best wishes Tony & Laura.
Glad to see someone else has problems with those pony trucks and extra weight needed! That extension is quite novel and works well for the lamp hut, the flag stones make for a nice feature too. Do like that long view down the whole station, very impressive; it’s become quite a building in its own right. Oh all those roof parts - looks great! All the best Stephen. Just had our first big fall of snow and a good work out clearing it, temp plummeted too and more on the way.
Good morning Stephen. We had a little flurry of snow but it soon went. snow down by us never seems to last. the temperature is at 1c at the moment. the squirrels have not been around for a couple of days. The extension dose look as if it was after thought during the building of this station. to be truthful it was. and that's what gives it its charm. thanks again for your kind words of support and take care in those snowy conditions. all the best Tony.
Loved the video by the way. I am always blown away with your meticulous planning, and implementation of such details. I admire your patience. Did you construct the over track signal box? If so, is there a video?
Good morning David. i do apologise for the delay in getting back to you. thank you for your kind words of support. The Signal box over the tracks, I'm afraid is a bought item, Made by Bachmann. eventually it will get replaced with a scratch built box. i thing they still can be found on Ebay. take care my friend. Tony.
Hi Tony. Great vid mate. I gather your ruler is correct at 20C, if you get what I am saying. Chesterman ???
Hello Alan my friend. oh yes within 1.02 of millimetre. stay safe and take care. cheer's Tony.
Another great video. My answer Tyne Dock. Cheers Peter from downunder.
Glad you enjoyed the video Peter. many thanks for commenting. cheer's for now. Tony.
Great job on those angled brackets Tony - slowly whittling them down to size. Really enjoying watching the station slowly coming together. As always, thanks for sharing mate. I’ve made a station for my sons/grandsons layout - ‘cheated’ a bit as I 3D printed the main buildings and platforms. It’s Goathland (“Hogsmead” from Harry potter,) so I’m having fun with some of the details, and Dapol figures.
Thank you for commenting. i don't think its cheating if you are using 3D printed main buildings and platform. you still have to build it. Assemble and weather. its all part of making a model railway. stay safe my friend. Tony.
Looking good, the steel work certainly gives the impression of a sturdy building Nice tip too regarding the use of a ruler to ensure all supports are at the same level from the top, although I'd probably have ended up super-gluing the ruler in place as well!!!! ha-ha Good luck to all those who enter for the prize draw, as said a while back it's eons since I've entered any competition but I hope you get a great response. The calendar covers look very professional, you should do a limited run for sale, I'm sure they;d be snapped up quickly Looking forward to episode 455
Hi James. The Calendars have come from PhotoBox, i had only bought a few for this competition. if the demand is there then i will look into doing something like do a small run of calendars, at cost. plus postage. so we shall see. i raise a question in the community page to see what response i get. until then thank for raising this with us. all the best Tony.
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN I would go for a calendar especially a desk top one
Another totally absorbing vlog Tony, your meticulous attention to detail,[ absolutely amazing] is why you attain perfection. In this world today, sanity prevails at North Eastern....😊
Wow, thank you David. your to kind sir.
Tony. What another great video. The Station is coming on a treat. Hope you and Mrs T are well, and not feeling the cold weather too much. Chris
Thank you Chris. its been really cold. thanks again for commenting. all the best Tony.
You're attention to detail is phenomenal mate, the scratch build ideas are superb, loving the canopy supports, very nicely built.
Thank you Brian. Its looks like these supports should hold up the main canopy. many thanks again for commenting Tony
great build keep up the great vid thanks lee
Thanks, will do! cheer's for now Tony.
Great modelling again Tony and love that calendar, regards Fred 👌😎☕️
Cheer's fred. stay safe my friend. Tony.
Great technique on the signs and stunning supports for the awning! Brilliant video, sir!
Many thanks Anthony. have a great weekend. cheer's Tony.
That was a delight Tony, great work as always.
Thank you Deano...stay safe Tony.
A fantastic job Tony sir. ❤👏
Thank you! Cheers! Have a great weekend. Tony.
thats a lot of very fiddley work there Tony, Nice prizes too good luck to those who enter
Hello Digger, absolutely i just hope it all pans out. take care for now Tony.
Tony! What patience you have, and fingers that are steady too. I would glue my hands to the brackets and give up swearing profusely that it was too fiddly! You never cease to impress me!
Hello Malcom, Thank you for your kind words. sometimes it can be a bit trying. all the best for now Tony.
Those brackets are excellent, Tony. I din't blame you not wanting to m9ve the whole ensemble too ofte. Are the calendars for sale as well as prizes? As always, have a great weekend. All the best.
Hi Peter, The structure is getting a bit delicate moving it from here to there. once all the surrounding canopy goes on then it will become solid. many thanks again for commenting. all the best Tony.
Hi Peter. Unfortunately the calendars are not sale. i hope to set up a something with you tube in the future. cheer's Tony.
Thanks anyway, Tony.
Hi Peter, Unfortunately i don't have any for sale. but maybe in the future i will do something along those lines if the demand is there. have a great weekend my friend..cheer's Tony.
Hi Peter. have you read my community page on you tube. i may be doing a small run of desk top calendars. i am waiting for response's to the comment before committing.
Dang we got to Newhassel too late for the 5:30 to Tyne Dock Station. I guess 5:30 means 5:30 not 5:37 on the TNE. Bill and Janet from California
We going to be enthralled by your creativity at Little Haven after Tyne Dock, mate? Arthur
Thank you Arthur. cheer's my friend. Tony.
Hi Tony, the next project perhaps!
Its on the cards as its a pretty baron place at the moment. cheer's for commenting. Tony.
