At last relief, you opened Gents loo just in time. When I had a HO scale model railway I used pieces of balsawood to make my urinals, loos and sinks. I used bits of chrome coloured pins for my faucets and handles. This was about 50 years ago that I did this. We hope that you and Laura had a wonderful holiday. It's getting warmer here in central California . Highs for next week 35°C to 39°C. Next week my wife Janet and I will be celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. Bill and Janet from California
Thank you Bill & Janet. wow 44 years. we are only 5 years behind you. its our big one next year 40. so yes celebrating in style this weekend. Laura is being pampered while i hang around the bar. CHEER@S. No Nukey brown though. but i will settle for a pint or two of Doom Bar. best wishes Tony & Laura.
Yet again another fantastic video Tony. The detail you put in is absolutely mind blowing. You really are an inspiration to us all. Can't wait for the next installment of Tyne Dock. Well done again. Simon. 😀
Good morning Simon. thank you for your kind words. and i am glad that i can inspire people to have a go, or even take up the hobby. thanks again my friend. cheer's Tony.
Hi Tony! Another really interesting little build, with even more detail! Love how you've used the end of a plug thingy to model the basin of the drinks fountain! Those little taps are a work of art too! An enjoyable episode as always! Cheers, Ian.
I am glad that you find these little details interesting Ian. and keeping them simple means anyone can build them. many thanks for commenting. stay safe Tony.
Hi Tony, great use of copper wire, inspiring Don't forget to add the paper hand towels that litter the area around the bin, and the arm under the cubicle door reaching out for the escaping toilet roll (ha ha) Have a great week
Hi Tony, Its all coming together great as all your builds do so well done and yes you are very deserving of time off to go out with Mrs T. Cheers Robert.
Hello Robert. thank you for commenting. Very true myself and Mrs T have a lot of catching up to do especially as the weather is good. like everything life comes before the hobby. many thanks again my friend. Cheer's for now Tony.
A very good morning Tony, you're very good with you're copper pipe work, it really gives the building a lift. Love the taps and mirrors they are a masterpiece. Hope you've had a good trip out and about. We're doing the same, out and about, we went to Oakhamton Castle on Thursday, great day, and its the Torbay Airshow this weekend, so looking forward to that, the weather forecast is nice for a change. Take care Tony and Laura, Eddy and my lot,xxx
Good morning Eddy. its amazing what came be achieved with odds and ends. we off to Buckfastliegh soon. i will be in touch with dates. until then take care, best wishes Tony & Laura.
Dear Tony, whilst the piping ain’t leaking, the question remains who’s ‘leaking’ in the gents? With the frosted glass it indeed will remain a question. Unless you’ll put in the very first version of a cctv of course. Love the subtle details of the pipes, the central flushing reservoir, the wash basins, taps and mirrors. Absolutely beautiful! And being behind the frosted glass, I reckon when the gents are lit (pun intended) the light may throw an appropriate shade on the windows, which will most certainly allow the narrator to tell the story of the Tyne Dock gentlemen’s. Cheerio
Good morning, Vincent. thank you again for commenting. i agree we maybe able to see something once the Leds are turned, even it if just shadows. thank you again for your kind words. best wishes Tony.
Very inspiring, starting a layout in a few months , now the kids are away , and so looking forward to trying to make things thanks to you . Best wishes Chris
Hi Tony, when you got to go , can imagine your little people have a place to go , detailing is awesome mate , definitely top of my favorite modelers 😊😊😊😊regards Marc
Absolutely Marc. we have to think off the little people as if they are real. maybe that is a bit too much. but there is more to model railways than just trains. thanks again for commenting, catch up in the next video. all the best Tony.
A fantastic bits of details on the Platform, very nice Tony, looking forward to seeing the rest of the build, it's looking good, all the best to you and your family.
Wow Tony. Those ablutions look amazing. Mind you I had to get up twice to go to mine, while watching that. I hate to ask but what about the ladies, perhaps a bucket behind the lift.😂 Joking aside, Your attention to detail knows no bounds. I'll sit crossed legged awaiting the next installment.😂 Thank you for sharing, very enjoyable indeed.
Good afternoon Mickey. the laddies are in the next building. Love the comment. Bucket for the ladies. thanks again for your kind words. stay safe, cheer's Tony.
Good morning George. thank you for commenting. I agree. without the details the building is an empty shell. but it does add character to the place. many thanks again Tony.
Great detail once again Tony, do like the simple construction methods to get a good resemblance of the real thing. Good old copper wire to the rescue too but that was how it was in those days for the pipe work. Video just long enough to sit out a thunderstorm. Got 4” snow last Friday when out camping not far from here, now back into shorts! Good to hear you’re enjoying the breaks. Keep up the good work. All the best Stephen
Glad you enjoyed the video Stephen. The weather here has and we have glorious sunshine for a change. and we are also out and about and making up for lost time. creating memories as you do happy days are back again. take care and give my regards to Celia. best wishes Tony & Laura.
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN Have done and ditto to Laura, yes need a top up of the old current bun. With all this hidden detail I looked up the cost of an endoscope - you can get what looks like a decent car mechanics one for $40 / £25 complete with 4.3” screen. It means you can have a proper peek in post build to admire your handy work - for the lav obviously only after when the little folk had finished their “business”. I certainly plan to use a truck reversing camera for monitoring hidden storage sidings, all this advanced technology and the mass production have got so affordable now. Have a high resolution digital microscope that is comparable with my lab camera set up that was over 40x the price some 15 years ago. Border plants to go and plant next! Enjoy the weather, all the best Celia and Stephen
What's that saying "what's in the gents stays in the gents" lol. Another interesting and inspiring build full of ideas Tony, many thanks for sharing PS hope you and Mrs T enjoyed your break. I've had two cans of bitter tonight saving and pacing myself, the other two for tomorrows video regards and thanks for sharing Barry. 👍🍺
Good morning. Barry. i had a few drinks last night. its great to be out and about. and with some glorious weather. Very true saying as Gents we do tend to leave something behind. lol. take care my friend. cheer's for now Tony.
Hello again Rob. absolutely. its feels like the building has some life to it. and not just there for show. plus its fun to do. take care my friend. Tony.
Good evening Tony yet again Mr Refabricator is doing his magic on Tynedock what a nice picture of the coach and the fact you got the office right. Will you be going to the great electric this year. We have booked so will be there. Stay safe my friend enjoy your outings. Stephen
Good morning Stephen. at the moment we are not sure. as we didn't planned to go year. but i will keep you posted if we do go. take care my friend. Tony.
Amazing detail loved the pipe work ! so much in there that wont be seen but we all know its there Well done Tony I don"t think my buildings will have the same detail but I know where to find out how to do it if required. I have ordered the track for my layout so get ready for a lot of how do you do this questions
Looking at the positioning of the door handle it would appear that, upon opening the door, a passer-by would have a clear view of gentlemen standing at the urinal.
Good morning John. Thank you for commenting, very true. but there is a wall to up on the outside the entrance, so hopefully no flies will be exposed. cheer's for now my friend. Tony.
Good morning Graham. only if you go in, just after the cleaners have been and done there job. most of the time you have to put a peg on your nose. LOL. take care cheer's Tony.
I dare say Billy Two Thumbs has been busy, building the Gent's Rest Room, with a trowel in one hand, and puffing a roll-up woodbine, while Young Tom dashes to and fro with tin mugs of steaming tea,. Once finished the Vicker will find it handy to avoid being caught short. Will the company be advertising shortly for cleaners, and asking people if they can demonstrate customer care experience, as part of the personal spec?,
Good morning. Billy two thumbs has been really busy. so much so his thumbs have got bigger through all that trowelling. great comment as always. take care. Tony.
Excellent Tony, I always enjoy watching your tutorials. Can I ask you about cube cameras? I noticed you using one on a recent video, looking at the hole you cut in the wall and fitting stairs, I put a video on my site but doing it with the phone doesn't give the best quality. Can you upload to a phone from the cube camera, and can you recommend one for me please?
The cube camera comes a cable to plug into the phone. it is suppose to be Blue tooth compatible. but i have not used that function. Caddex Action Camera, are to be found on Ebay or Aliexpress website. i hope this helps. cheer's for now Tony.
Thanks Tony, I shall look it up. If you look at the video I put you will see that the quality is not crystal clear but it was quite dark to show off the lighting in the Pullman coaches 🤗
Fun fact, did you know Whitley Bay Metro is the only station to have Toilets on the Platform, and whaaaaat, Tony made a mistake 😮, noooo, must be an imposter
Thank you for the fun fact. North Tyneside has most of its original station intact. while South Tyneside they pulled them all down. we all have those off days. i was thinking at the time that is was the end wall which it turned out not to be. fancy forgetting about the gents....take care my friend. Tony.
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN yeah we got off lightly in North Tyneside, theyre also supposed to be be re-opening the Blyth and Tyne Line this year (2024) after (i think) 60 years, we nearly lost the old Station Building at Benton recently but luckily managed to be saved, Monkseaton and Whitley Bay are both having restoration work done on them at the moment, and Tynemouth (my favourite station) was done in the 2010's, oh, and the site of the old BR South Shields Station is now the home of the Metro Training Centre
Jiminy bloody Cricket Tony,The station master should hold the “ toilet cleaner “ to task......absolutely disgusting standards.....first and hopefully the last criticism of otherwise a superb build.😬
