Fabulous storytelling added to a great video showing how you made everything work on the electrics. It looks really good now it’s all lit up. Thanks for sharing Tony. Truly inspirational. Roy.
Who else would have made a great little story plot of fitting two beams, yes you guessed it Tony!!! Your crane gets more outings than I do lol. Many thanks for sharing, great idea with the lighting bar cheers for now 🍺(its Newcastle Brown tonight) Barry..
You got that right! Barry. the Maintenance crane has a busy schedule here at the N,E. Bridges and Trusses what else i wonder. cheer's for now my friend. Tony.
It's coming along brilliantly Tony, it will look fantastic with the roofing on, looking forward to seeing the rest of the build, all the best to you and your family.
Good morning John. Absolutely agree once the roof it will transform the look of this station that is for sure. many thanks again for commenting, very much appreciate your thoughts. cheer's for now Tony.
Proper job lads. the two buildings are now one. Both crews did a nice bit of crane work. As for the girders, they fit better than they would have if bought from Globle House. (DIY Shop.) There is even a light on the job now. What's next? Well, lads, there is a storm brewing and it is heading this way. You Silly sod, that the steam from the kettle, go and make the tea and don't forget I have two sugers in mine. Martin, (Thailand)
Hello Martin. i love the comment my friend. as for what is next i have 30 small brackets to make. tedious job but it has to be done. many thanks again my friend. until next time stay safe Tony.
Nice job Tony, soon be time for another grand opening. Just imagine fitting those beams this day and age you’d need an army of men with the HSE , had to watch this morning as Guinness o’clock time last night😂. Have a great weekend my friend.
Hi Mr Rock & Rock. thank you for commentating. it will be a few weeks yet before we have the grand opening. as i have just started the supporting brackets for the canopy. lots to come. stay safe. all the best Tony.
Hi Tony, Great to see the little people all involved in the construction and logistics, certainly brings things to life! Yes it was a time of great respect and formality ( including dress codes) Mr, Mrs etc which came out nicely in your dialogue. Yes the trusses needed the verticals as well as to look convincing. Ingenious on the lighting and mechanical strengthening, certainly adds the inter building rigidity, nothing worse than accidentally breaking the back of that roof. Hope Sid gets the lads down the pub for some celebratory drinks on a job well done! All the best Stephen
Hi Stephen, absolutely we can not have those little people standing idol. lol. with those trusses in place i can now think about the centre roof and how to go about its construction. talking about the pub there are a couple of new ladies hanging around the Saracens Head. thanks again for commenting. all the best my friend. Tony.
Just So much Precision, Patience and Imagination Presented with Diligence and Style - Waaay Outta My League and Awesome to Watch - Many thanks Tony 🙌🏻👍🏻
Good morning Shaun, the action elements i had filmed for my grand kids. as they love the stories that i have done before. thank you for commenting. stay safe. Tony.
Dear Tony, absolutely agree on the added vertical supports for the roof trusses. Those Plastruct trusses are awesome by themselves, but they miss a bit of detail. Guess they did that to be able to use these trusses in different scales. Think the added vertical supports just add the little necessary extra depth to the truss. Even when they’re only visible when Sid looks under and up the inside of the canopy. Love the story of the trusses being loaded up, transported by the North Eastern and hoisted in place at the Tyne Dock station! Beautiful how you’ve put together the work train consist! Yep, such a truss construction relying just on superglue is indeed fragile. As you’ve said, think it will all work out great when the roof construction is in place. Nevertheless, for added reliability of such glue joints it’s worth looking into adding a bit of full strength Matte Medium over the top of the glue joints. This will help prevent the deterioration over time of the superglue and adds a nice (flexible) extra bond over the surfaces, without being visible because it will dry absolutely flat. Definitely worth looking into. Still curious for the canopy and how the station will look with its roof installed. Cheerio
Good morning Vincent. thank you for commenting. i am glad that we think along the same lines with what i have done with joining both these buildings together. these building are still very flexible. but still care will have to be taken when handling them. so the next phase will be to make all the supporting brackets for the canopies. and the centre roof. which i am still thinking about its construction and what to use for the centre roof. thanks again for your input and thoughts. cheer;s for now Tony.
Good morning Steve. it made a change to add a bit of story telling to this video. which has created a lot of interest. have a great weekend and we will catch up on the next one. all the best Tony.
An elegant solution to bridge between buildings with strength. Great story line bringing in the book hook & troops for the instsallation. Top marks yet again Mr T. Arthur
Hello Arthur. The centre beam does both jobs. Power transfer and strength, only till the centre roof is added, lets hope i don't have to handle it two much. all the best my friend. cheer's Tony.
This gets more amazing every week Tony. Those brackets are brilliant. I'll have to find a building ( and build it)to make a few brackets of my own. All the best Tony. You're a real inspiration ( sorry I've said that few times before). Have a good weekend.
Hello Peter. These supporting beam can be found on most Island platform station where they have subways or underpasses. I know Basingstoke has them. and Fareham. i think that's where i got the idea from. thank you for kind words. all the very best Tony.
Another top quality update there Tony, thank you. And I enjoyed the storyline again, with the train delivering the new beams. But ooch there is not much clearance between the roof of the mobile crane and the bridge, at 23:01 in the video. Loving the series, Cheers, Warren :)
Your very welcome Warren, i di not think you had to watch videos, as i thought you are still wondering around the south downs. anyway its great to hear from you. take care my friend. Tony.
Good evening Rob. Its free to borrow these ideas. just be care with the flux crossing the insulated joints. many thanks for your comments. cheer's Tony.
Hi Tony, I’m finally back from my travels this summer, it’s impossible to catch up with all the channels I follow after being away for so long so I’m starting a fresh. You really have got some much done, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed catching up and seeing the progress you’ve made mate, great work as usual, cheers for now John
Welcome back! John, its great see your comment as it was a nice surprise. i was down your next of the woods a few weeks back. as we had a long weekend in kent. obviously we visited a few railway venues. great weather. anyway i must stop waffling on. i bet you can not wait to get back into your railway room. take care and give my regards to Mrs Haven....cheer's Tony.
Another uplifting episode from T.N.E. The buildings finally united as one. I glad the beams showed at Tyne Dock on time and not stranded in a goods yard in Birmingham. Bill and Janet from California
Hi Tony, another brilliant video, great idea using track rails to transfer power to both buildings, bringing the figures to life was very enjoyable to watch, best regards Roy
As always Tony, a pleasure to pull up a chair with you. Did you get to Fareham Railex? Two stand out layouts for me. Lintor Town GWR (my passion), and a wonderful o guage micro layout with stunning scratchbuillt buildings based on buildings in Sussex. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera. Plastruct is really great isn't it? Cheers again. Dave
Hello Dave. yes i was there. i am sorry i missed you. i was in ore of the quality of some of the layouts. I did like the treacle layout. as there was detail inside some of the buildings, me too i forget to take my camera. i agree you can make anything from plastic strut. stay safe my friend. Tony.
Tony, I enjoyed this video very much, the story telling brings a great dimension to a construction video. Have you thought about using a USB microscope camera, or similar, which has a manual focus to get views of inside of buildings?
Hi Andrew. thank you for commenting. i have not thought about using one of those USB microscope cameras, but thank you for the idea. and thanks again. stay safe my friend. Tony.
Hi Paul. thank you for commenting, at the platform level it does look better than i had expected. thanks again for your kind words of support. cheer's for now Tony.

Very enjoyable video Tony, and the station is coming together nicely. How on earth would you have transported and lifted those beams into place without Mr Phillips and the lads? @@TONYNORTHEASTERN I use a cheap £12 boroscope, from a well known site, to look inside acoustic guitars - just plugs into a phone / tablet and even have an LED “torch” on the end
