i just got one, a 2005, and i talked him down to $3,150 cause it is doing the common slam downshift into first, i did a fluid drain on the trans and it didn't change anything about how it shifts. Thus i plan on getting the ecu repaired as it is what i see is the most common cause of this issue. the car has 224,000 miles on it, but the engine is still healthy and the trans shifts great while accelerating until i slow down and get to the last 3 gears with it getting more aggressive until the last shift into first.

Investing in some quality tools goes a long way. Beating yourself up with cheap tools brings the skint knuckles, blood and scars to remind you Hey dammit why don't i start investing in a real bench vise some non harbor freight 10 dollar wrenches. That's the shit you buy for relatives birthday, christmas, etc or that ass hole at work that you drew his name. Good job

Ain’t no way these are single-stage paint. I had to use wool to even get a good cut on my briarwood pearl. Maybe it’s different for black, but this paint is not soft in the slightest.

You need to clean your flywheel with emery cloth along with the points. then put your points back on a set them with a paper credit card. Which you can get from junk mail.

Hello & Thanks for providing the simple instructions allowing me to lower the soft top. I personally enjoy the soft top. It keeps all of the rain out with no difficulties and personally I think the car looks better with the soft top. Your instructions are particularly helpful as I need to pick-up my hardtop from a friends garage. I am in need of a replacement of all of the hydraulic mechanisms which, by the way, can cost up to 1,400. each. However, in Southern California I have a gentleman (although there are others) that purchase the cylinders rebuilt and they also will replace the cloth top with a German made product matching the original. The entire cost is somewhere around 3,500.-3,900.. A remarkable deal if you wish to keep your R129 intact as I do. Everything on my car, a '92, works. Everthing. We shouldn't be shy about searching the internet for replacement new or used parts - they are quite available. Thanks again!

There are a set of air openings for the trunk very lose to the Nav box and the amp. If you drive though a deep puddles in pouring rain these vents an allow brake dust dirt mositure and water into the wheel well, that will cause metal corrosion problems on your eletronics terminals. Seal up the "vents" with duct tape or HVAC duct sealer and keep the car in the garage if you can in bad weather.

How bad is the drone on the highway at 2,000 RPM? This seems like a nice and cheap mod without getting unreasonably loud... but also seems like you might ruin the ability to peacefully cruise at 70-75 mph which would be a huge con.

Just found our the passenger side arm will not extend, the driver side does and the sun blocking net seems to be missing. Thanks for your video. I hope it helps me troubleshoot my problem. I like the creativity of using the electrical wire to hold the net onto the bracket.
