Excellent guide. I replaced mine in 5 minutes with this video. My headlight sockets were melted and I had a light out warning in the dash but couldn't figure it out - replaced the switch and that fixed it! The only thing I did different than you, was when taking off the spinning handle bit, I put a flathead under it and pried up, way less strain on the plastic. Cheers!
Just replaced mine a few minutes ago following your lead! Great Video and very helpful! Thanks for posting! I opened the bad one and it was really disintegrated inside.
That's very good, on my annual yearly gov check the mechanic pushed in my headlamp High/Low adjuster into the light assembly I i wont record what i thought of him , , I've been wondering how to gain access and your video has done the trick, many thanks from Cheshire UK and sometime Sisaket Thailand.
Hi men, can I ask u is that Mercedes the 2001 sl500? If it’s that one, could you help me find the relay diagram? Because I need to change the a/c relay on mine. I appreciate the help
One good top before you think of replacing it: Take the knob off and squirt some WD40. I thought I had to replace mine because it was not staying on the headlight position. One squirt is all it took.Problem solved.
Has anyone informed this comment list that the 2nd click out activates the rear fog lights... I know that by 95 it existed in them but not sure when it was a standard feature. this is why he noticed brighter lights on the rear after install of the new one and pulled it out to the second click. Sorry if this is redundant.

13 pins for a sl 300 140kw r129, no needs propably a 140 in?
My R129 pulls out twice. Once for the front fog lights and twice for the rear (and front) fog lights.
I like the W140 knob better also. I kept the R129 knob though just in case the another person wants to go back
Please don’t touch the glass on the bulbs. The oil in your skin will etch them and make them burn out sooner. Thank you.
