Canon needs to make a digital version of these.
I might be too late with this suggestion...the problem you are having can be with one of two internal microswitches inside the camera (I think there are 3 in total) that require cleaning/resetting. When these switches are faulty it prevents the mirror from resetting. I have also on one occasion fixed this by cleaning the contacts beneath the shutter dial. The film jamming towards the end will be a different fault, although I have experienced this before with the mirror fault. I was shown this by Santini, at Asahi Pentax, who is probably the most knowledgeable/experienced repair technician on Pentax 6x7 (and Mamiya).
Which focal length did you use? 50mm?
i love the relaxing vibes! incredible photos as usual!
Cheers Rory! 😊
A refreshing look on my town :). Thanks.
I'm glad you enjoyed! Thank you 😊

My first time seeing the Agfa at work, great work. Love the images!
It's a great little camera! I often carry it around with me in the bag 👌 thank you!
A couple of gems in those photos, well done. I don't know why but every time I see video or photos of Amsterdam, it reminds me of Vandervalk of the 1970s???
Thank you very much 😊 I just had a quick Google and I see what you mean. Looks like a lot of it was shot in Amsterdam! Interesting to see how much has changed since then 😊
@@OnlyAnalogue Both the 1970s original series with the late Barry Foster and then the 2020 were shot in Amsterdam and other locations in the Netherlands. I can only remember the original series. Sadly, work schedual did not leave me much time in my later years in life for TV .
@@lensman5762 I'll have to give it a watch 😊
nice set of photos Josh. must get over there sometime.
Cheers Don! Definitely! It's a very beautiful city 👌
The Agfa did really well! The night shots were also amazingly good…. But of course, you always shoot fine photography! What a charming cool city Amsterdam is…. Thanks for the look see! Looking forward to your next adventure!
It's a great little camera! Thank you very much, I appreciate that! Thanks for your comment and support! Great to hear from you 😊
Hey, great to see you! HAPPY NEW YEAR🥂🎄🎊🎉🍷
Happy new year! 😊
Hey Josh 👋
Hey Richard 😊 Happy new year to you!
My father gave me his Exacta VX iia just before I went on a long summer trip. It had a 55 mm f1.9 and a 135 mm f3.5 lenses,. both Steinheil. He had bought it around 1960, give or take a couple of years. I got some great pictures with it. But the cloth shutter developed cracks which led to light leaks. This seems to be not unusual with Exacta Varex (or VX in the US) cameras. I wonder if you have noticed any small bright spots on your photos.
Hey! Ah that's amazing! It's always nice when a camera holds some emotional value as well! If only they could talk... The stories they would tell! That's a shame to hear about the cloth though. I haven't had any problems with mine yet... Fingers crossed it stays that way. It's been a while since I've been out with them though so maybe it's time to blow the dust off and make another video 😊 great to hear from you!
Great photos. Where are they taken?
Thank you! Hastings, East Sussex 😊
My best shots over the last year have all been panoramas (digital and infrared). I love panoramas because I firmly believe humans have panoramic vision (cause we have 2x eyes, and thereby 2x lenses side by side). We have super wide vision, yet at the same time we can "zoom in" on subjects. So I personally love combining a long focal length with a panorama, to get a similar effect to what I am seeing when I look at a scene.
Hey! That's a really interesting way of looking at it and I hadn't thought of that myself! I always tend to go with the wife for my panoramas but maybe I will have to try that! Thanks for reaching out and watching! It means a lot! All the best, happy new year to you! 😊
Inspired! I haven’t developed color since photo school in the ‘80s, and C-41 negative wasn’t very important back in those chrome-happy days. Thanks.
Hey! I'm glad it's inspired you 😊 I'm still very much a chrome-happy kind of guy 😂 but sometimes you can't beat colour for certain subjects 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting, all the best!
I really like this film.
Great video. I want one. I’m trying to decide if I should use a current 10% off sale on a new one from Lomography. Or if I should keep an eye on a good used one on eBay.
Thank you very much 😊 They're great cameras! It's always nice to have something new. It eliminates the risk of something being wrong or broken on it I guess... I haven't seen any floating around at all recently. They seem pretty hard to come by online for resale. But you might get lucky! All the best and I hope you manage to find one 😊
@@OnlyAnalogueit’s been a year since you made the video. Is it still pretty much the only small 120mm camera less than $500? It seems like all other 120mm cameras are huge and hard to travel with unless I want to spend over $1000 on a Fujifilm gw690, is that correct?
I think you might be right, I've never really thought about that. The only other camera that's compact and affordable that comes to mind is the Olympus chrome six. It's a foldout but that does come with some problems unless you can find a nice one 😊 The LC-A is definitely the better option for being both compact and durable 😊
@@OnlyAnaloguethanks for your replies. I would like to get into more 120mm photography (I have a holga haha) that’s at a higher quality and less of a toy. But I don’t want to spend too much since it I am still a beginner. Again thanks for your help!
@@Arty-et9rq no problem at all! We are always happy to talk about photography 😊 The holgas are really cool and can actually make some really lovely pieces of work. I have no idea how but some photographers I know create beautiful shots with their holgas! That's fair enough. If you're into TLRs that would be a great place to start. I started out with a photina TLR that I found for £15 and have been hooked ever since. The yashica TLRs are also amazing quality, for both the build quality and results. They can be found for a reasonable price 😊
Nice work 👍
Thank you! 😊
Great video Josh!
Thank you very much! 😊
Nice
Thank you 😊
Any good websites for these gems?
I love the sharpness of the 105, its easily one of the best lenses ive ever used. I need to go out with mine again, possibly with the panoramic 35mm at some point, down hastings i imagine.
I couldn't agree more! Such a beauty! Yes definitely! Hastings is such a great spot for those panoramas 👌 Great to hear from you! I hope you're getting on well with your 67 😊
I agree with you. I also believe that any street protest is a great gift for any street photographer. Despite the fact that I sometimes disagree with the opinions of some street protests, they sometimes provide very powerful images.
100%!! I always worry with subjects like this online. But it really does make for some great photography regardless of the theme of the protest! I'd love to get out and do more of this... Whether it reaches UA-cam or not will be another matter 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
When a Pentax 67 user suffers film advance jamming toward the end of a roll, but the next roll advances without problem from the start, the problem is almost always the user, not the camera. The issue is commonly referred to as "fat roll", and it applies to any roll film camera with tight specs for the roll film chambers. It occurs when the user is careless when first loading a new roll of film by not making sure that the leader paper is winding tightly on the take-up spool. A couple of winds of loose leader on the spool will increase the diameter of the film roll as the shot film spools up. Eventually (before the end of the roll), the loosely wound up film will expand and jam in the take-up chamber, preventing further film advancement. Pentax 67 bodies which appear with film spacing and winding issues have usually been abused this way, with the user trying to force the film advance lever to wind on, stripping gears. Pentax devoted a whole page in their user manual to the problem and its avoidance, but who bothers to read the user manual when you can watch someone strip their camera gears on UA-cam?
Don't be too harsh. When I bought mine over two decades ago, it did come with a full Pentax user manual. The great majority of these cameras re now bought off the usual auction site and do not even come with the most basic instructions. The obvious one is never remove a metering prism with the lens attached with disasterous consequences.
@@lensman5762 Actually, the issue is trying to install a metering prism without first removing the lens, as the link between meter and body doesn't connect properly. Just pulling off the meter prism without first removing the lens will cause the little chain follower in the body to snap back to its default position, but that in itself it unlike to cause a problem unless you do it more often than most users. As for a manual, it's freely available online for each model version, as for the metering prism.
You'd have an easier time getting shots with a working light meter mb from a later 67. The 200/4 is quit stunning as well.
Hey! I do have a metered prism for the Pentax but I don't really trust it enough. I usually take a few readings with my light meter and make an educated decision based on the few readings that I take 😊 With portraits if often gives me a chance to have a little chat with them while I'm metering, instead of just snapping, saying thanks and being on my way 😊 I haven't managed to try the 200 yet but it's definitely one I've had my eye on! Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
Some sublime shots there 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that!
Nice work Josh, your confidence on the streets a grown a lot 👌👌 I hope that Peggy gets a good servicing and comes back ready for action, otherwise it might be time to trade-up to a Mamiya in 2025 😜😜
Hey Richard, thank you very much! I'm definitely feeling a lot more confident out there 😊 I'll regrettably be sending her off soon but hopefully it will be for the best 😊 Ahhh yesss that mamiya... I've been tempted in the past but I honestly cannot live without my Pentax 67 😂
Really enjoyed this, great portraits, you have a good eye for photogenic subjects. Loved the skateboarding shots too. Looking forward to seeing more in the new year. All the best for 2025.
Hey! Thank you very much I really appreciate that! The skate shots came out really nice on that cinestill Bw XX 👌 Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 happy new year to you!
Great portraits, and the105 is very good lens, but I own both of them and THEY I prefer the 90. It is a better corrected lens and focuses closer than the 105 and I find it a more versatile lens. One of my favourite -6X7 lenses is the 200 F4.
Thank you very much 😊 I had the 90 but didn't quite get on with it as well... I currently have the 75 as well which is a beautiful lens too! They're all great lenses but I guess it's down to personal preference 😊 A few people have mentioned the 200. I may just have to treat myself to one 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting! All the best for 2025 😊

What light meter are you using
It's a Gossen Sixtomat 😊
About the only time I get up to the smoke is for a good demo these days.
Britain needs Testosterone , bad.
Big glass , still love my Rollie TLR's though.
It really is 😂 can't go wrong with a Rollei 👌 I'm itching to get back out with mine!
Love X-Pan images...enjoyed the video going to checkout what else you have on your channel.
Thank you very much! We really appreciate it 🙂
The photographs were truly excellent. Although, I do have a couple of Pentax 67s, I am thinking of converting one of my old folding 6X9 folders into a panoramic, accepting that there will be some limitations.
Thank you so much! The 6x9 folders can take some absolutely incredible shots. I can only imagine how good they would look as a panoramic 👌 best of luck if you do give it a go 🙂
I'm having a ' Only Analogue two hour chill ' thoroughly enjoy your vids particularly these IR ones. Some lovely images to be inspired by. Thank you for showing.
We love hearing that! 🙂 It means a lot! I hope you enjoyed your chill and have had a lovely Christmas! All the best 🙂
Enjoyed this dude and ooking forward to your stuff next year. Lighthouse images are lovely ,did you use a separate light meter? Merry xmas to you!
Hi Gary yes I used a seconic light meter and thank you for your kind words happy holidays 😊
Lighthouse photos are great. HP5 is such a great film, all Ilford B&W films are great to be honest, but HP5 is so versatile.
Thank you I think the yellow filter and nice lighting helped to give nice contrast and location helped it was hard to find a bad shot happy holidays 😊
Nice stuff, Tom. And no light leaks to be seen in any of your photos! Glad it’s operational again!
Thank you and yes no light leaks and no spacing issues looks like I can start using it a lot more in the new year happy holidays to you and your family
Nice shots, you two! I especially love that homestead around the 11’ mark and those foxes! Had no idea foxes were so people friendly.
Hey! Great to hear from you as always! 🙂 We hope you are well. Thank you very much! I'm definitely going to have to get that one printed 🙂 for the most part they aren't overly friendly. I think they are very used to people down there though 😂 We hope you've had a good Christmas! 🙂
I have no idea what picture relates to which camera? It would be great if you considered add cameras to the stills of the images.
01:28 and 02:05 I mention a couple of times what camera and lens combo are taking which photos.
Nice work. Do you have a video on your technique?
Sorry if I missed it in the video, but what focal length did the lens have? Panoramic cameras don't need super wide lenses per se, do they?
Hey! I usually use my 55 which does help and creates a more cinematic feel in my opinion but it's not absolutely essential. You can still create good looking panoramics with most lenses. It all depends on the look you are going for as well 🙂 hope this helps! Thanks for watching
I enjoyed that 👍
Great video! I really want to get my hands on a Rolleiflex, there's a cheap 3.5F for sale where I live but I ain't got the money to buy it
You wouldn’t regret it if you could find the money
You could get a Rolleiflex with Tessar for a lot less, and the accessories for it (Bayonet I) are cheaper as well. I use Rolleis with the Tessar and Planar, and there has never been an occasion when I thought "I should have used the Planar instead". The Tessar is a great lens.
Sorry I haven't been around much this year but it's been a nightmare, health wise.
