      😂 I wondered how many people would mention that... It's all a clever marketing ploy 😜

      I saw it. Marketing ploy or poor design.

    Some lovely images. I’m really keen to give infrared photography a go so this was really interesting, will have a look at your previous video for some tips.

      Hello 👋 Thank you very much!
      Definitely give it a go, once you know how and get a couple of rolls in the bank it's so much easier! The results are always lovely to look at 👌 best of luck with it! ☺️
      All the best!

    I agree with you on the Rollei's IR. I prefer the look much more. Thanks for sharing

      Rollei is definitely a more dramatic infrared film which I love! Can't beat it ☺️ Thanks for watching and commenting as always Tony ☺️

    Wow, hadn't seen you for a while..... nice results..... I've never shot with Infrared film yet, but this sure is an inspiration for me to get going! I see what you mean by the 2 films differences...but I like both, for their looks. Always a well done video, and your subjects are always cool and fun to view. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you so much Richard! ☺️ The one at 4:58 was one of my preferred shots as well ☺️
      Hope you're well and getting out for some photography... The mood of my photos is definitely set to change with this weather 😂

    Good summary. I also shoot only Rollei IR 400 when it comes to infrared (medium format though). I tested 2 rolls of Ilford SFX and didn't like it really. Therefore for me I have 2 stocks I use when shooting in IR: Rollei IR 400 and Superpan 200. Developed in Rodinal 1+50 or 510-pyro = great results.

      Thank you very much 🙂 I need to get myself a larger IR filter for the Pentax 67. What do you usually shoot on for medium format?
      I love superpan 👌 it's on my list for another infrared video in the near future 🙂
      Thanks for watching and commenting, it means a lot!

    Crackin video. I've used Rollei, but not sfx. This answered so many questions. I pre-wash the Rollei before developing in Ilfosol 3. Works OK. I shot the 2nd roll in cloud, and it was much better in full sun. Not that we've had much this year in the UK 🙄

      @OnlyAnalogue  4 місяці тому +1

      Hello! Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! There seems to be some debate online about pre washing but I always have with mine ☺️ haven't yet tried it in Ilfosol though.
      Haha that's very true... Keeping one eye on the horizon for brighter days but it's not looking promising 😂
      Thanks again for watching and commenting!

    Great video Josh.
    Don't forget to try Rollei Superpan 200 rated at ISO 12 with the R72 filter. Not as intense as Rollei 409, but better than SFX. Also less grain.

      @OnlyAnalogue  4 місяці тому

      Hey! Thank you very much 😊
      Superpan is on my list funny enough... Need to wait for some nicer weather again, hopefully I can get back out with some before it gets too grim 🙏😂
      Less grain is good to know, I appreciate the advice! Great to hear from you ☺️

    Lovely photography my friend. You certainly get a like if only for knowing what you are talking about which in the age everything automated digital, is indeed a rare occurance. Just a small piece of advice, when shooting at low iso that needs a secure platform and cable release, it is best to either remove the camera strap, or tie it up securely using an elastic band of something. It waving in the strong breeze can actually induce camera shake, even on a tripod. Take care.

      Thank you very much! I appreciate that ☺️ that's a great shout, something I hadn't actually thought about so thank you for the tip 👌

    do you use an adapted camera or a normal 35 mm camera?

      It's simply just my canon AE-1, Ilford film and a infrared 720nm filter ☺️

    So shoot SFX 200 at 6 ISO and develop normally?

    • @OnlyAnalogue
      @OnlyAnalogue  2 місяці тому

      Correct! 🙂 The massive dev chart has all the information you will need to develop it. Hope this helps
