It's not fair to hold ATL to NYC standards on any level. I'm from NY too and have lived in the north east ATL burbs for over 15 years and honestly, I am loving it here, but my primary objective coming here was to raise my kids with space both outdoors and indoors, and own a home. Having both were not/is not possibly living in Brooklyn. I know nothing about dating single in ATL, but my wife and I have dates pretty frequently around the entire metro area. With that said, what you mentioned regarding new and interesting things to do in ATL, as a couple, being on the short list (compared to NYC) is 100% FACTS. The lack of walkability down here anywhere in the metro area does contribute to that feeling of having to have a specific destination in your GPS when you head out here. Hard to just wander around discovering as much ish as you would in NYC, because you're driving right past it here without knowing . Once you know, tho, it can be pretty cool 😅

I love Steph! I wasn't ugly growing up, I just was a bit chubby compared to all my peers. Imagine a slightly tanner 2003 Raven symone and that was basically me as a teen, but all my female peers had bodies like Zendaya, so I thought I was fat and ugly. Sigh... I was neither. But it was the early 2000s and if you weren't a size 0/2 you were considered fat and ugly.

I think your take is solid, you do continue to comment on how you feel you are delivering the content - you say you are rambling; repeating, etc. but then you say you can’t do an outline or focus because you want to be conversational. I think you can still be conversational while focusing. Perhaps on a paper jot down big themes you want to cover and things you don’t want to miss. Perhaps time yourself and rehearse it loosely once that way ut gives more confidence in your delivery. Overall you stepping forward and sharing was really important and I enjoyed listening.
