    You found his weaker backhand side and looped a lot of ball above his shoulder on both sides when you needed to regain court positioning. True 4.5 tennis at its best.

    Solid match! All parts of your game are looking like they are getting pretty tuned up. I think running around to your forehand less might save your legs a bit in some longer matches. I get why you do it though. Your forehand is a beast! Keep ballin', man.

    7.3 UTR!?😮 Are you tanking in the matches you don’t show us? For shin splints track season always started with running on grass to prevent SS. Work your way up to harder surfaces. You could do the Lendl thing and bike a couple hundred miles a week. You’re the former bike guy right?

    • @advantagetennis3459
      @advantagetennis3459 6 днів тому

      No. I would never tank matches. I've never heard about running on grass to start. That's interesting. I'll look into that some more. And no I am not the bike guy but biking does seem to make the most sense for me at the moment.

    The thing about people who make poor calls with purpose and malice, is that they live in the space. If you get a line judge, that isn't new for them. They already have the point/s and they clearly have rattled you. In my opinion the best thing to do is to try and take them out of their comfort zone by calling balls in the middle of the court out. What this does is it resets the field from a points perspective and it forces them to get the line judge, which puts them in an area that they aren't familiar with mentally.

    The simplest solution is to call any ball he hits anywhere near a line, even 3 inches inside the line, out. Also make him run to the net with droppers and absolutely peg him every time. Some children have never been pegged in the face and they definitely need it. Also get a SwingVision and record every point in HD and expose sad losers like "Nick".

  • @buckyoung4578
    @buckyoung4578 Місяць тому

    Solid tennis from both players. You say conditioning is your biggest problem. The cure is dedication to aerobic work especially swimming to save your feet and knees. To me, your biggest need is to "hold" the court better. That means to not be so far back and take the ball as it rises, not after it has reached its peak and falling. If you have access to a ball machine, stand on the baseline and set the ball machine to feed you balls that land at least half way between the T and baseline. You cannot back up, but must hit the balls stepping forward as you make contact. You can use a wall if you do not have access to a ball machine or someone to feed you balls as described above.

    You can never be a 5.0 if you lose to pushers. He gave you easy balls all match and you did nothing with them. Do you even know how to hit a dropshot or a lob? Don't expect to get to real levels of competition if you are playing half the game of tennis.

    @bartholomewlyons Місяць тому

    Effffff this Nick guy. And the way he shouts “YEAH! COME ON” after your errors. I’d probably call him names each time I heard that from him. Blood boils. You should have called out at 6-5 40-30 to Nick when he clipped the line. Eff him But there you go, there was one match where you took a point away by calling out on an IN ball. So this is karma at its finest. I even commented on that video about you not replaying the point.

  • @buckyoung4578

    You kept saying you wouldn't talk anymore about line calls and then did. Once you call someone a cheater, you know like you did, his follow up actions are YOUR FAULT!! Grow up!

  • @buckyoung4578
    @buckyoung4578 Місяць тому

    One more thing. You may be playing in a 5.0 tournament, but neither one of you are 5.0 players with your error rates and general lack of shot depth and neither one of you volleys very well or truly knows when to come to net.

  • @buckyoung4578
    @buckyoung4578 Місяць тому

    Losers complain about line calls. Winners either ignore them or call for a line judge. And, you essentially called him a cheater and still didn't call for a line judge. He then said, "You can call for a line judge and you DIDN'T. No wonder he got fired up on your misses. You better rethink who has the problem.
