      @jamesmontgomery5717 Thanks! I usually record in 1080P because the file size can get crazy past that. I'll give it another go though!

      1080p is fine. But the bitrate and fps could be improved. Quality matches tho

    Super interesting. This looks about how I play so I can see where I make mistakes and where the points turn into winners. Intersting that this is the finals of a 4.5 tournament because you'd think at the finals it would be more like 4.75 play but this is more like 4.5 on the nose.

    Just wondering, how old are you? I want to get back into tennis after I haven't played in a while after highschool and so I'm wondering if I'm still around the age possible to play tournaments like this

    Congratulations this was a great match. If you drink pickle juice before and after your match’s it will help you out with cramps, I get bad cramps and I started drinking pickle juice before and after matches and I don’t get cramps anymore! Thank you for posting this match my friend.

    Collared shirt. Nice. Rarely seen on a tennis court anymore.
    Gino was a rare 4.5 with many technical elements more commonly seen at the 3.5/4.0 level. The Continental grip was totally absent from his game. Served and overheaded with a light eastern forehand grip, slice backhand with a eastern backhand grip, volleyed with eastern backhand and forehand grips (may be why he chose to hit volleys further back, to give him more time to make grip changes.) usually things done using a Continental grip. Frankly you see the occasional guy who can hit good first serves with a forehand grip serve but the second serve usually is pretty weak. Gino was the rare guy that could hit a pretty good spin serve with a unconventional grip.
    Usually when you see players who can make unconventional technique work they have played for a long time and play a lot. I get the feeling this guy is much stronger than average and probably has coordination to spare. On the flip side of the last statement, if he had more conventional grips and techniques he’d probably be a markedly better player than you Andrew. Gino in a way is one of the more remarkable players I’ve seen on UA-cam. I am glad you won though Andrew, I’ll always too for good technique over raw talent.

    The points were long because both guys were super fast and neither hit hard... many shots were firm, but these guys can move... nice job

    Great playing and some tough line calls. Thoughts on mixing in slices, drops, short heavy spin/pace, deep heavy spin, etc. to keep your opponent out of rhythm?

  • @tenniszerg

    Overhead at 9:33 looked totally in. That's cool you guys just replayed it though since no one got a clear view on it.

    • @advantagetennis3459
      @advantagetennis3459  Місяць тому +1

      @tenniszerg Yeah, that ball was in. Couldn't tell in the moment. Sucks, I needed all the points I could get in that game. SMH Sportsmanship was really good in all my matches at this tournament. We'll see how the next 5.0 tournament goes. lol

      I cant believe the other player even questioned the call. It was in by a mile.

  • @tenniszerg
    @tenniszerg Місяць тому +1

    Dang, tough call at 33:10 especially when it was match point. Looks like it might have caught the back of the line but it's hard to tell.

    • @advantagetennis3459

      @tenniszerg This was a pretty low camera angle compared to how I usually record. I believe the ball was out unfortunately.

    I hate playing pushers like Gino. Totally takes the fun out of the game. And if u lose, it feels like you lost to a girl.

    • @williamc4221
      @williamc4221 Місяць тому +7

      Instead of making excuses, improve your consistency and your accuracy, which are the 2 main reasons more powerful players lose to "pushers".

    • @grokker99
      @grokker99 Місяць тому

      @@williamc4221 Dude, i have a full-time job; I cant put in the time to develop consistency whereas a pusher doesnt need to put in as much time to punch shots over for infinity. Pushers really need their own league.
