    By filming this in a way that doesn't show the slides (full screen would be nice), you really disrespect the whole lecture Dr. Penny is presenting. Maybe try miking the speaker next time, as well, so that every cough and throat clear isn't louder than the person at the microphone. I suggest you watch the Yale art history lectures to see how this is done.

    Seems to me that hoarders put a higher value on objects and their relationship with those objects compared to the value they put on relationships and experiences. Perhaps they have had disappointments in their relationships in the past. Objects have meaning and power. They connect people to their history and act as a kind of storyline to the past.
