I just got into eurovision after finding the code on spotify and it's crazy how much shit everyone had to deal with while still putting on spectacular performances

For me, ESC died that year. It was difficult when they threw russia out and... well... gave the win to Ukraine. Before that year political neutrality was always important and a reason I like the ESC very much. It just shows, that every musician is the same worldwide, they want to make good music. But when it started to get political... it got difficult. Israel got special rights, even on the TV it was not hard to hear othes boo over them. Still, we noticed with the missing number something was stupid. When we searched for it, the statement regarding the disqualification just seem stupid to me by then as well. But nothing will happen Some people will lose their jobs, sure, but the political guidelines will stay active as long as the war does not conclude by next year. So... I just quit. Another piece of peace movement destroyed for the sake of war propaganda.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if esc 2025 is either the last contest ever of it it's going to be cancelled by late this year. I can not see this contest making a genuine comeback after all that's happened.

What is going on in Europe? This is a very public event, a TV show event, and people complain that the Israeli delegation has some people out there filming? Especially all the pervert and dark performers seem to be very sensitive about video taping. This probably was the worst Chanson Eurovision ever : ) We Americans just laugh.

Ireland and quite a few others were very dark or perverted, or both. I want to see beautiful or deep stuff, like Silmane from France, like Eden Golan, Israel.

It's very disingenuous of the israeli propagandists to make it out like the reason people didn't support Eden was 'a pogrom" when Israel won off the back of the televotes and hosted just a couple years ago. It's almost like iseael has done something disagreeable between then and now to change public opinion...

IMO, Switzerland was reallly bad this year, their win was pretty much a puppet win because the song that I believe deserved it was Croatia. Funny Lyrics, Amazing crowd engagement, It was fun to listen too and sing to as well. Nemo, on the semis, sounded like a cat being choked, the song was boring, mixing was bad and the show was just flat again. Joost should of won, hands down, but with his absolute BS disqualification (He did not attack the reporter, he touched the camera of the cameraman, not her or her camera, she went against the contract, yet filed with the police instead of EBU), Croatia a strong Number 2/1, with France in Top 5, Window95 also there, because that was bloody hilarious. England last because 1) that was traumatic, 2) my pelvis is sore, 3) im Australian haha.

It would seem that the best way forward is that we should all boycot the EBU and create another song competition away from EBU involvement. Doubt that will ever happen.

Very strong points raised here. I'm not Dutch, but I'm hurting for them. I don't think there is any way the EBU can make it up to them and Joost. He worked hard for his moment, and it was just taken away. I think next year they should be given automatic qualification, but I doubt they will.
