If you understood the Danish lyrics to "Fly On The Wings Of Love" you would love it. The English lyrics is miles away from the feeling you get from the Danish one. The song is really about the guys saying to their wives in the same age as themselves that they are more beautiful and sweet now at retirement age than qhen they met them. And using such a wonderful metaphor of "Beautiful as a sparkler" really melts your heart.

I don't think Gåte or anyone else for that reason is given a bad place because of a language that more than half of the viewers don't understand. Käärijä, Måneskinn, Marija, Ukraine and France or anyone coming top 10 is proving this wrong all the time. I guess that English is overrated in this question. Especially when most of these songs that are in English has got some of the worse English grammar and bland metaphors. A winner wins (even if it is top 10 only) when you feel that the delivery is on par with the feelings of the performance. And cliches are far better served in mothertounge than in a off beat bad grammar in English.the only time that ever happened was with Russia and Azerbajdzjan.

Melodifestivalen is so damn boring those days. Its a competition for pop songs that dresses up in other genre's, and then its all about giving the kids their favorite song of the year, the teenager's favorite of the year, the sport-lovers their song, the grandma's, the indiefans, the immigrants, the midfle of the road dads..... Add any group to the list. I've actually stopped looking at melodifestivalen for this reason. Its too calculated that you feel like being part of Farenheit 451.

Ngl as a Finn I've been completely out-of-the-loop with Eurovision for the past few years that I had no idea who Käärijä was. But this guy have been appearing in a lot of commercials here that I was confused over who this funny-looking, shirtless guy is, and why is he such a big deal enough to be in commercials. And then I came across this video and I was like "Wait, THIS FUCKING GUY!? Is that why he's a big deal here!?" His music really slaps tho.

Funnily enough I've listened to Cha Cha Cha more than Loreens song which is felt was a cop out by the Jury to give Sweden the competition to mark the 50th anniversary of ABBA winning it, also noticed more 2nd place songs are remembered more than the winner similar to X Factor in the UK
