    I guess I have to say this. Cook to 145°F (63°C) . High parasite load on those. Don't throw them out! My sister did, I wasn't happy about that. Sushi has parasites in it, they freeze it for 7 days and no one complains. I love this place. Gets the kids very excited. Catch a dozen of them in a few hours with the family involved.

    Ok nice job. I have an 03 6.0 and I'm doing this job now. All bolts oil line and wire removed. Back bolt stripped. Gonna try extraction socket or small pipe wrench. All this because icp and ipr problems. Trouble free for 100k then no start 366k and was running great. So happy to have Back up vehicle.

    Thanks for the great video and explanation. I broke the Low/Medium side ceramic panel in my Big Buddy heater today on a fishing trip. So when I lit it of course you’d have to run it on high but the low medium side was still supplied propane. Was pretty sure I was going to do a Part two of my exploding tent series. I toughed it out and froze most of the day until I got back to a bit of cell service and found your video. Although I didn’t have spare parts my goal was to just move the high ceramic panel over to the low medium side which I was able to do. It’s working great and tomorrow I’ll have at least some heat which is all I need now that the temperature is not as cold. Thanks! I must’ve followed along too closely though as I ended up with two screws left over as well… I’ll find a spot for them when I take the heater apart again once I have a replacement panel.

      Now you can light your smokes easily haha. I would be careful about Carbon Monoxide levels. I can’t say for sure, but I have a hunch that the method of combustion with the plates has something to do with the claim that Buddy heaters are indoor safe. Keep your vent cracked and tight lines!

    Great video! im thinking about some way to heat the engine block on the ice, or when tenting. Seen some bigger heater with copper pipe blowing on the block. I think in an emergancy with a small handheld propane heater with a fan blowing in a funnel connected some copper pipe or 2" aluminium hose blowing heat on the engine and battery. (probably with some tarp over the hood?) Seen someting like that? (or a petrol heater like on a car?)

    really good video. i had an issue with the left tile flaming up instead of glowing, i almost had the heater apart just like you did and i found out that spiders had made webs in the plenum intake. that can be cured by just removing the bottom inside shield (two screws) and wiping out the webs. info that may save someone the unnecessary job of taking the heater apart. if you want to pass that along to people they may find it useful

    What if you have the intake and turbo from a 05? Is it direct fit ?

    • @28fish
      @28fish Рік тому

      If I remember correctly, the turbo bolts to the fuel pump cover. I can’t say for sure, but the fuel pump cover should be the same for all 6.0 blocks. The easiest thing would be to use the ‘05 turbo and it’s mounting pedestal. The pedestal mounting bolt pattern is the same across the years of production; it is the location of the turbo mounting bolts rust changes. Hope that helps and thank you for watching!

    • @28fish
      @28fish Рік тому

      Absolutely! With the Clam Fish Trap cover I use, it has more than enough depth. If you check out my video about using the Clam cover on an Otter flip over or my review video on the shelter, there are some detailed shots of the fit and the modifications I did to make use of the cover. I never owned the Otter cover designed for this flip over to say if it would accommodate the futon or not. I did not like the design of the Otter cover as I needed the integrated cinch straps to keep the cover pinned down during transport on the highway. Hope that helps!
