What does a disregulated nervous system mean? It’s not what you think.
Words matter.
There is a concept floating around that the cause of your issues are a disregulated nervous system.
This does offer important insights as to where to put your focus.
But it doesn’t fully grasp the issue or the solution.
By recognising your nervous system is not disregulated but merely regulated to past experience this adds important pieces to your journey.
1. You’re not broken. Just triggering protective response at inappropriate times.
2. Your brain & body isn’t against you. It’s a misguided attempt to protect.
3. The solution is to retrain the brain & nervous system to respond appropriately. Recovery is not all about calmness though.
4. If past experiences change us then experiences change us. That’s at the heart of Neuroplasticity. We can learn to curate our own experience and update those historic responses.

The shit in the food we eat absolutely disregulates our nerves and blood. We are stuck trying to get that shit and the vaccine scar tissue out which all seems to screw up the nerves and blood. Please stop gaslighting.
why does my head shake? my voice shakes, my hands and I am so tired. I never have a moment of peace, no matter what I do, my entire body shakes. I'm 39 years old. I stopped smoking 2 years ago. I stopped drinking coffee and all other caffeine. I started eating a lot of meat and fish and haven't eaten fast food in 2 years. I workout, low stress everywhere in my life and nothing gets better. the xanax prescription barely works and I hate taking it. can you offer any advice, anything I can do?@

It might be useful to look at some more targeted work on calmness, safety, beliefs, relaxation etc. General healthy changes (improving diet, exercise, sleep stress relationships) can sometimes be enough but often not. 👍
You'll likely need to divert your mind with consistency to prevent your mind from creating risk assessments.

Everytime I tried to recover from Cfs with lightning process, Mickel therapy etc I would crash with the stress from doing more and then the therapist would try to medicate me,
Hi Liam. It might be useful discuss this with your practitioner. The point of the video looks at ways to make ‘doing more’ not trigger unnecessary stress. Just pushing through & doing more doesn’t work. But there are other ways to wisely expand activity. All the best.
No one ever told me doing more would cause more symptoms though, I was always told to do more by these therapists, every single one I've asked has told me to ask someone else, that's why I've ended up asking on UA-cam, there's not a lot of support when it doesn't work
@@liam.4454 That would be frustrating. Recovery isn’t always straight forward & is why an individualized approach is important. Follow up & fine tuning is part of the journey to expand activities safely. I’m not sure where in the world you’re based but connecting with a Lightning Process practitioner to discuss options might be useful. Happy to chat if you’re in Oz or NZ. 👍

Lightning process made me worse, everytime I did it I crashed, same when I did Mickel therapy and reverse therapy
Hey Liam. I’d recommend talking it through with your Lightning Process practitioner. Some times people misunderstand the Lightning Process and use it to push through, ignore symptoms or rely on positive thinking - all of which are unlikely to get results. There may be blindspots that you could explore. It’s not about getting rid of symptoms but rather changing unconscious patterns. By their nature of being unconscious - they can be “blindspots” but important to address. All the best.
@@Fantasticneuroplastic I've had a few practitioners I wouldn't know who to ask, I find therapists tend to pull away after a while, if I do more and symptoms get worse, what are you supposed to do?
@@liam.4454 The Lightning Process is more nuanced than just use the Lightning Process to try to make symptoms go away as you do more. This will be unlikely to work. The key is to take a broad approach & use your skills on far more than fatigue. In some cases it’s the least of the pieces of the puzzle. Wishing you all the best.
